Well done Underrpressure - if you can resist when the ** hits the fan that's fab - be chuffed with yourself for that:T

I had a weird thought in the car yesterday - it suddenly occured to me i wasn't smoking - even though i haven't smoked in the car for almost 4 months. think it was because it's the first time i've been on my own on a longish journey. (took DS back to Uni after he'd been home for the weekend - 90 mile round trip) - didn't want one - it was just a surreal moment:D

Was a bit of nightmare journey though as it was raining really hard and when i got up onto the top of the moors it was blizzarding with snow - was terrified couldn't see more than about 5 foot in front of car - felt like the longest ten miles or so of my life til i drove out the other side of the storm. I drive a Ford C max - it doesn't do snow - it's like the slightest bit of a snowflake and it panics..lol & of course the worst bit was going down Hole of Horcum in Yorkshire and not being able to see where the road ended and the steep drop at the side started:eek:
Any other time OH would have been with me but he wasn't well so stayed home

Anyways am still alive to tell the tale - but that is one experience i don't want to repeat any time soon.

Keep on staying smoke free everyone
    Hugs to all
    Chrissie .xx
  • I'm on 6 months e-cigs now. Six months since I stopped smoking, I'm so chuffed.

Hey booboo I am waiting on a delivery date for mine too and cant wait for it to be totally smoke free from the start :D:D

Hey Chrissie that sounds like a real test so well done for not giving in to the demon

Underpressure well done that is such an achievement to actually make the decision you are going to smoke by buying them and then choosing not to despite having them in your hand

I get why you are keeping them but do be careful. I still have that temptation packet that appeared in my car on the day I was giving up. I have them hidden away but i think it will be time to get rid soon as I dont want any rash decisions to be easily sorted with my car fags iyswim

Well thats another day done for me and im pleased to report it was a lot lot easier. Keeping very busy at work is helping and actually I think i experienced pretty long periods of time today when I wasnt thinking about the coffin nails. :D Not complacent though and I realise some days will be better than others. Looking forward to completing my week tomorrow :)

Good to hear everyone doing so well its very motivating :T:T

There was one self proclaimed troll on the thread, we were just answering him, he was the one being nasty and trying to upset everyone.

All I was asking was the language problem in trying to understand the E-cig route,I think the only way to fully understand it is to buy a kit.Which won't happen for me since I am free of nicotine.

I can't understand though why you call yourself vapers and not suckers, after all you suck before you vape.

Like many 'pastimes' there are terminology's used to describe various working parts of an electronic cigarette Denis, which yes are more comprehensibile if you actually have one . . . as you're a nicotine free zone, they'll be of zero interest to you, as you say.

I call myself a Vaper, Electronic Cigarette user . . . it matters little to me the name applied . . . I'm just thrilled Fag Ash Lil doesn't apply anymore. :)

Well done to everyone for not giving into the cravings over the weekend. :T

    All I was asking
Well the posts are still out there, so people can make up their own minds Denis.

In other news, I had a real huge urge today to have a fag, which was a bit weird, as I haven't had one for months.
I was looking out into the lovely sun filled garden and had just put my DS to bed. I realised after a few seconds that that was the exact time I really used to enjoy a fag and the same weather.

So more of a "moment" urge maybe? I realised I didn't really want one and had a quick vape instead. It was an odd feeling though.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

I suppose, Lotus, that after being along time smoker, these usrges will come along when confronted by situations that we would normally smoke in!

Well done everyone who has resisted the smoking urge!
