Well I did it. Ok so still the evening left but I have not intentions of having to go through this again
I would love to agree with Mr Carr and say its a breeze, no problem, easy, but that would be a lie tbh.
It has been a hard day with practically zero concentration at work and a constant and very loud panto in my head. I felt the universe was testing me this lunch time when I happened upon a full packet in the back of the car - oh the temptation and the panto " just do this packet then. Wont do any harm to stop tomorrow etc etc"
Anyway upshot is I didnt and it is so true that giving up is not going to be any easier tomorrow next week or next year so its a case of the good old Nike motto "JUST DO IT":D:D
Do you know what was so nice in a not so nice day? To read the really thoughtful supportive messages in amongst the spats. Thank you so much to those who thought of me and onthe brink (hope you're doing ok too)
Now i know some of you are on the edge of your seats waiting to hear about Eddie :rotfl: His big leap was to present the show with Robert Peston who apparantly he has been having an on going feud. Also on the show as the elderly lady having a tattoo, people who had spoken to their long lost friends or enemies, a marriage and a few more that slip my mind. Anyway after tomorrow (which is an update show from all the goals) I absolutely promise I will stop talking about Eddie Mair unless of course the arguments continue then I will give you a full radio 4 update on every show on that day:D
Oh good news too my friend who seemed not so pleased I was giving up is giving up too today :T
I still want a fag though:o:o
Thank you for your support I will need it I feel :T29th Feb Quit Day :j0 -

Did you listen to the health programme on radio 4 earlier (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01cjwvm) inside health? in the day... It had a spot on e-cigs :-D....
Very positive too....totally get you about struggling - some eejit (this is my new name for self LOL) had the bright idea to reduce again - less than 2 weeks (previous time of reductions - well actually 2-3 weeks sometimes more) again ...
But vaping back to normal....:) So happy...was getting satisfied way too quickly before...
So now e-cig free date is about July - (Was october)...so all that stuff on intellicig and like MHSA (or whatever it's called) on the friendly forum is not my worry...:D

not often i post more than once a day ^^^^^^^
Well done Needstochange - you've almost done day 1 - yep not easy - but you've proved you can & will do it.
It will get easier - promise - but tough it out just over this first bit - we're all behind you 110%
My best bit of advice is to take up something new, hobby or interest - something you have never done as a smoker ( for me twas tap dancing..lol) - because every time you do it it will re-enforce your non smoking status - fooling your mind is the key to banishing those awful fags!
Tons of hugs and a huge :T.

Thrilled to see you here tonight. Well done, that is almost the first day over. To top it off, you looked temptation in the face and chucked the packet away.
Within 8 - 24 hours after your last cigarette carbon monoxide is eliminated from your body. The oxygen level in your blood becomes normal.
Concentration was a problem I had and I posted about it a few pages back. Aveda Blue oil, Rescue remedy, Bach Flower Crab Apple, liquorice (yuck), Avena sativa are all recomended. Probably not all at once:eek:
Breathing - breathe in counting slowly "one, two, three" as deeply as you comfortably can.
Breathe out counting slowly "one, two, three"
Pause counting "one, two, three"
And then repeat again - too much and you will probably pass out!
Try it - it is almost like dragging on one of those coffin nails.
Hope you have some satsumas or the like to keep you busy tonight and don't forget to drink lots of water. Something warm and milky at bedtime, if you can stomach that sort of thing.
Good news about your friend - it is so important to keep talking about your feelings to someone who understands what you are experiencing. Also, it shuts out the panto in your head.
No doubt, we will be having the poo discussion tomorrow or in the next few days.:rotfl:
