That has to be parent abuse! Seriously, I'm sure that in the old days, I did worse than that.

Hope you have planned some treats .... rewards ... pampering? I had my feet nibbled by fish :rotfl: changed my hairdresser, bought some Penhalgon perfume and booked a 1-1 pilates lesson, once a week. New me!!

My new e-cig arrived today - just a cheapy from HK, but by'eck it works quite well.
I've no intention of substituting one habit for another, so will wean myself off the nicotine over the next couple of months by going down in juice strength.
My fag consumption has remained steady at 15/day since Jan 1st (a third of what it was) - today it was less than 10. I'll be starting afresh tomorrow with only the e-cig to see how it goes.

Right then. Farz, your e-cig may work for you and I hope that it does, if it doesn't you may need something better to deal with the hand to mouth addiction.

If you struggle to deal with no fags at all, you can be helped to get a better e-cig, which might deal with the real fags, then when you've got over them, you can deal with the nicotine strength.

Pm me, if you want a link to a e-cig community which will help you, no matter which way you want to go.
I can't put the link here, as it's not allowed.

If you manage as you are and you can give up with the HK e-cigs then great, carry on and get the good advice you get on this thread.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

    Hi

I just wanted to say thank you to the support I received from this thread back in September/October when I was really struggling to give up cigarettes. My first attempt - to give up by reading Allan Carr - failed but shortly after I started the patches, having been a smoker for 9 years and on about 30 a day. And very shortly after that, I found out I was I pregnant :):):)

So today it is excatly 4 months of being smoke free :j:jand to top it off, I have a healthly little boy bump growing very nicely indeed :j:j

Thank you again, especially to Sue who was so very helpful :)

    T

Many congratulations on having stopped smoking, Triangle, and for the birth of your little boy! :A

Congratulations to you and all those you hold dear, you've done yourself proud!!!

All the best for a healthy future.

Sorry Farzackerly, but the thread below is the one you now need as we here have no knowledge of e-cigs.

All the best with it and quitting.

Many thanks, Sue. See you around :)
In the meantime, I leave record of my successful attempt to reduce using patches - which dragged me down from 50/day to 15/day - proof that they do work for that, at least.
I would like to thank Sue for all the Sterling work she's doing on this forum to help, encourage and work with others in their fight against this dreadful, filthy addiction and wish her good health and the power to carry on the fight.
