Yeah did you see that sue - 12 weeks :j.....Not missing it....Quite happy on my e-cig though think I might sell some of my flavourings as not really needing them or at least not buy any more... Quite happy with the basic throat hit from my 'peace pipe'

Having had savings take a nose dive past few weeks I've got to spend on e-cig at some point - need nic liquid (2 months worth for £45) and possibly some cartos ....don't know.... Will have to count.... and batteries. (maybe £12 worth cos over £10 is free postage) and nasal spray though I might try and do without that. :D and just use inhalator when I can't vape... It'll be hard but worth it as the nasal spray is so expensive...

The nasal spray is about £45 for 3 weeks worth  That's why I'd rather be 100% e-cig. It's cheaper :D

So yeah. I have a test (ECDL) on the 10th and trying to get over this bug which I know would have gone to my chest right now if I'd been smoking...

Everyone have a good day :)

Congratulations Erme!!! 12 weeks without a ciggie is a LONG time!!! :T:T Stay free of them...for good!!!!!

I think your sinus problems are partly caused by having been a smoker....and exacerbated now because of the spray! I had huge sinus problems due to having smoked and you're having big problems now, but firstly I'd go for it being the spray that's not doing you any good. So...look to definitely kicking it out of your life and try the inhalator.

Once you've finally let go of your peace pipe you'll be a heck of a lot better off!!!!! :j Healthier too! :D

BTW, is the ECDL the Pitman one or driving? Either way, good luck!

Onward and upward with doing soooo well, Erme - life is out there for you to be taking by the horns!

    Hugs, Sue xx

That's really interesting you say that sue about the spray cos like I've reduced it since about 10/11 this am and feel a whole lot better :T...

Going to try and stick to 4 doses a day spray max for the next few weeks (think I have two bottles left - don't know - could only be one?) and then on my last bottle (better have two ) get it down to one spray a day...Or even in a few weeks.... Depending how I feel :)...Inhalator/peace pipe is the way to go...:)

Sure I had a major problem with the psychological aspect of reducing my nic/ml last time I reduced it and that caused a heap of probs with the spray :(...But I've just reduced it today and feel fine.... No major panic...

So yeah - from now on vape 100ml (no matter how long it takes you...remember I could vape this in 3 weeks at one time ) and then reduce by 2mg/ml....

And don't add any flavourings either as for some reason I can't taste them and I don't mind in the slightest. More concerned with throat hit :)

PS. The ecdl is the driving one - the office applications thingy - 2003 :p

Because of the sinuses! Be careful not to make the worse with the sprays! Is it not worth binning them if the sinuses don't improve?

  • Just checking in, am still coping, had a few days of severe sciatica but due to not smoking could afford some accupuncture and a massage or 2 which has made me all better so dead chuffed - if was still on the fags would of had to just make do with pain killers so feeling a new boost.
have also managed this week not to snack like I had been and even started running on an eve which normally would of killed me walking to end of road.
So all in all feeling good - keep it up everyone

That's brilliant in all ways, dizzydonkeys...so many benefits to be found and straight away too. So, whenever you get a 'moment' keep reminding yourself of what you've done - enough to put a smile on anyone's face! :D

Just a quickie from me to mark my nicotine free time.

I agree with Sue about the sinuses/smoking..........I suffered horrendously.........spent days on end in bed and eventually had to have an op. :(
My consultant kept telling me to stop, but I didn't. :o

Eventually I did and I have not had a single sinus episode since! :j

Thanks a lot for your findings of it, DD. Sad that we all have to learn the hard way! :o I've had 2 ops as the first only worked for so long, but I'm fine now, thankfully.

The things we suffer from and with all due to getting into smoking!
