1 month 1 week Patches/Oral combo
Well I'm still here (ish), I gave in and had a couple of puffs of my BH's cig. It was disgusting!! Really disgusting. Hated it! So guess that's enough as put me off them. I hope anyhoo. Weather been really bad here over the past week or so, so have been in megapain with the old knees/shoulder. I used to laugh at my old mam saying that, but the weather really does affect ur joints. But I've woke up this morning, as stiff as a board, forgot to take pills last night, hands cramping like hell, but the sun is shining, so I've swallowed the pills and got my 4rse in gearAnyhoo, need to stop rambling
O2bfree, if you want to go cold turkey now, can u still use the smoking cessation group for moral support?
JD - Love the attitude, this time eh? For both of us!
Viv - Excellent news :T:T:T
Erme - I'm confused by the whole thing. Probably the meds taking affect, I just buy a wee bottle and top mine up that way :rotfl: Not that I've done it this time tho. Think the docs are taking as many people off diclofenac as possible following the links in high risk patients to heart problems, think that's why i got taken off them, fat, 40 and a(n x) smoker. Now on Naproxen which actually seem to be doing a much better job :j:j
Big ty to Choille and DD for coming back to support us all :T:T:T4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
3 weeks 4 days smoke free - champix
I was going to moan about how rubbish my day has been but after reading O2bfree's post I am truly humbled. I cannot imagine anything worse than losing a child. I have a 4 year old son and my life would be unbearable without him.
O2bfree, to get throught today smoke free would be an unbelievable achievement but if you can't do it, don't beat yourself up. I don't think anyone would judge you badly today. I am so truly sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to you and your family. However hard it gets you must remember your granddaughter as she was - a smiling, happy angel who brought such joy to your life, if only for a short time.
These words do not seem enough to express how I feel. My heart breaks for you and if I could I would put my arms around you and give you a great big hug tonight.

I am sorry if I caused upset with my comment yesterday, I didn't intend to.
I just needed to put down my thoughts.
Unfortunately I did smoke yesterday.
I had 3 puffs of a cigarette. And unlike Mazza111 I absolutely loved it.
Don't get me wrong it doesn't fix the problem and I haven't had anymore but I enjoyed those 3 puffs.
Today - back to being a non smokerPay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
o2bfree -Don't beat yourself up about a couple of puffs, I sure aint going to. I loved the kick from the smoke, just hated everything else about it :rotfl:
Sometimes those thoughts need to be put down hon. Don't apologise for it, I'm more the stiff upper lip type (most of the time), carry on, chin up n all that, didn't mean to appear rude with not mentioning it yesterday, but my thoughts were with you. We were in the same position as you with my sister's little one. We found out on his 3rd birthday that he had a brain tumour, and only lived another 4 weeks after that and even though it was back in 84 our memories of the wee man always flood to the surface around his bday and his anniversary.
DD - Always have a moan, might have given o2bfree something else to think about
Another day here, forgot to put it in title, but it's all the ones, 1 month, 1 week and 1 day . The BH is still trying, going all day at work without a smoke, then going buying a 10 pack on his way home, not too fussed, haven't nagged him about it, he'll do it when the time is right for him
Another happy smoke free day to everyone:T:T:T4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Hi Erme,
Thank you for thinking of me.
I have not had a cigarette since stopping taking the Champix on Friday.
I did go to smoking cessation clinic and all they could offer me was a nicotine replacement.......I figure that I have no nicotine in my body after 19 days so why replace it????
So I refused that.
I am now trying sheer willpower but today is the 8th birthday of my 1st Granddaughter but she is not here to celebrate it as she died in a car accident when she was 3.
I always have a bad time this time of year and I haven't stopped crying for the last couple of days.......just hoping I can hold it together.
Thanks for your support
Och you know what so sorry to hear that...yeah sounds horrid....:(..Hugs hun. Know we are always here for you if you want to rant and stuff and don't worry about having those 3 puffs yesterday hun. No one else is...and we know you can do it - but in your own time. We know one day you will succeed. As I often say as part of my recovery - it's not going down (or having a cig or going back on the cigs) that's the crime but staying down (or staying on the cigs till you die.... Okay what's naproxen? I'm confused now :rotfl: Yeah I'm getting a tank to avoid topping up....I top up like ALL the time. I have a 50ml bottle I've diluted which lasts me about a fortnight and then refill a 10ml bottle to carry about...
Feeling quite nauseous though it could just be hunger LOL...time for more water...
Debating when I can reduce the nicotine concentration in my e-cig now I have gotten to 6 weeks though think it will be after hols as I'm with a smoker for 3 days (and there's no way I'm asking him to go outside in November LOL and it's his house)
So yeah that's me...VV (variable voltage big thing) going in for repairs. Will sell after hols... Cartomisers (mouthpieces) for VV God willing sold later this evening..... dirt cheap but they're not the best(like 2/3 what I paid for them  if not less)
WHERE'S SUE!!!! Has she dropped off the end of the world? LOL
