Evening Folks
Halight, I'm sure if you hang about long enough we could find something wrong!
Drove up from West Yorks today, went to Chester first to see family and then near Halifax to see a very good friend yesterday. It was quite snowy when I left and have seen rain, snow, sleet, fog and a tiny bit of sunshine on my drive up! I have to say that once I am in the car with my MP3, sat nag and cruise control I am as happy as a pig in s**t. Don't need to talk to anyone and can sing (actually I can't) at the top of my voice without anyone bothering.
Came home to a hovel, DS2 came home from the farm last night, obviously used every dish, bowl, plate and glass in the cupboards. I got in about 3.30 and he was still in bed!! He did apologise and has since cooked lovely salmon fishcakes that we had with salad. So glad to have some sort of fresh food after all the carp of the last couple of weeks!
Washing on, DW on but that's about it OS wise. One more day's holiday for me and then back to normality. Take care all. XX0 -

Hello
DH is playing football at the mo so will be
a late dinner of cold turkey, chips and beans.
Am going to slice up the rest of the turkey (cooked
on New Years Day) and freeze it, getting a bit fed up
of turkey now lol.
WM has been on twice and still have loads to
wash, don't ever seem to have an empty wash
basket !!!
Am going to do a list of what is in the freezer
tomorrow and check my store cupboard to see
what needs replacing.
Hugs to all xx0 -
I'm really ill today, it feels like I've got razors in my throat and I work in a call centre so hardly being able to speak isn't ideal!
On the plus side I made an unplanned trip to Asda last night and got there just as they had reduced lots of trays of meat. My freezer is now full of pork loins/ribs/mince/chicken breasts that were only 50p or £1 each marked down from £4-£6! Hooray! The chicken says use within 1 month of freezing, is this a guidline or a must? Will the quality deteriorate after that or will I get ill?0 -
I have just found out ASDA do delivery for £2! even on weekends! okay so it's a long slot time, but i'll be in all day anyway and thats cheaper than we'd spend on petrol (and not sticking to the shopping list!) the only thing is you cant get the reduced bargains, but for £2 i am not complaining! just need to be saavy...Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

All recipes gratefully received for white cabbage please Isn't the internet a smashing place for drawing folk together we have folk from all over the UK plus Holland and Israel and of course the lovely Robyn (Aussielass) in Australia .I wonder how many more countries join in with our little gang .I know there are some from all four countries in the UK plus Eire.Lots of chums in Scotland and Wales If only we could get the politicians to behave as we do and swap helpful hints instead of grumbling and growling at each other . I have always said that women would make a better job of running the world than men anyway
