I didn't take it like that SS, I think he was a classic example of a guy who felt powerless and was trying to get his point across.
I really think we forget sometimes that it's Daddies baby too. DH had a lot to say with me and I don't normally listen but I did make an exception!
I might just be annoyed by him because when they were doing the interview at home on the sofa he cut her off every time and that is one of my hot buttons for instarage
Husband was talkative during my induction to the point that they just stopped talking to me altogether, which I think is another reason this guy has annoyed me so much. But since consensus says it's just me and he's not a PITA I'll let him go about his business and he shall remain a person and not a shoe.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Aww that sounds so sweet! My T has a gloworm that used to send him to sleep he just hits it now.. he does have a ikea fox that plays a tune he loves to hug.. and snog LOL. Every morning I undo his sleeping bag he grabs the fox, hugs/ snogs it and rolls all over his cot squealing at it!Kitkat did you find T calmed or settled easier as he got older or would you still consider the cranial osteopathy? I'm hoping little man grows out of being grumpy, had a really good day yesterday when he slept all day. I was worried he wouldn't sleep last night but he did, then he was up at 6am changed and fed and I put him in his bouncy chair, got a few smiles (which is amazing and rarely happens) and he sat in it till it was time for the school run which makes a change as he'll normally start screaming after 5 minutes. I hope its a sign of whats to come.
T is definately calmer and more settled now he is older. I felt he seemed 'grouchy' from about 2 weeks but it turned out he had colic, so basically he would be happy and smiley, then 7pm on the dot he would start screaming... thankfully he is so much better now. He also has a milk allergy so was quite ill from that, he started teething at 8 weeks too. Your little man will come around I am sure, he is still very young and I bet the world still seems very scary to him. I am still considering cranial osteopathy as I feel T's entrance into the world was quite traumatic, I will let you know if I go ahead.
Welcome to newbies and theres some gorgeous piccies0 -
I'm just watching OBEM now and to me (so far) he seems like one of those people who feels the need to talk when they're nervous or don't know what to do with themselves.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Tara the Scottish call jabs jags
Just watching last night's OBEM, someone's obligingly uploaded it very quicklyI don't believe I've ever seen a birth as graphic as that first one, the crowning shot made me  !! I had a little weep as well when the poor little baby was all blue and floppy
but glad he's better.
The husband of the lady who was bleeding is making me extremely irritable though, I don't think he's let her finish a single sentence so far and he's even cutting off the doctors! Muppet. "I'm not being funny, but that bleeding got me worried." Really?! There is no way that could ever, ever be construed as funny.
'I'm not being funny' up here kinda means 'I'm not wanting to be confrontational or infer that you don't know what you are doing...but (what are you doing?)'
Funny as in strange.
However I'd thump him for not letting her finish a sentance. She will be knowing more about whats happened than he will I think.Ahhh Tia, jags actually sounds right, nasty horrible things.
It's just a jag
A jab sounds like your posh and trying to say that you're not poking a needle in yer bairns arm! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Hi ladies
I've got my first mum and baby group tomorrow (it's actually just a lunch club in the local pub) - really nervous! I kind of know two of the girls already from pregnancy yoga and there's a really vibrant Facebook group and all the girls seem really nice, but I'm not very good at walking into a room full of people I don't knowDefinitely need to go though because I can already tell I'm going to be bored bored bored once OH goes back to work. So, any tips about conversation starters - obviously there's the "how old is baby" thing but I don't want to only talk about babies!
In other news, Sam had his 10 day check yesterday and he's been putting on 1oz a day since his 5 day check so he's now only 2oz off his birth weight - really pleased
Just trying to fill in Child Benefit and Tax Credits forms, they're really complicatedI'm going to send off the Child Benefit form tomorrow even though we don't have the birth cert yet because I need the reference number for the Tax Credits form so I don't want that delayed as well. Is that the best course of action? It does say on the CB form to still send it even if you don't have the birth cert to send with it...
