Snap! Or shout "ah ah ah" across the room when I'm feeling lazy or she's being especially naughty, brings on a pout every time:rotfl:

My LO is doing everything bang on time, I'm very impressed by her punctuality:), nowt like her Mum;) She's currently using anything and everything to stand herself up and looks so impressed with herself, although was a bit scary when I found her hanging over the side of her cot this morning trying to get her music box:eek: Base is definitely being lowered tonight!
Does anyone know of any toys that I can attach to the side of the cot for her to play with in the mornings.......she seems to be waking earlier and earlier atm:(

    Hope everyone is well x

Becles hope you get somewhere doesn't seem right you have to pay when others don't.

I know Delain I'm constantly saying no to my squeak who is constantly climbing the tv cabinet, pulling all my shoes out of the shoe rack, trying to climb up the oven etc - is so trying and must be hard being pregnant. Although think his crawling tries him out more so has longer naps!

Having a battle with my work as going back in October, but trying to apply for a promotion as they put out vacancies on a website when I tried to apply for it (3 e-mails!) no-one responded, so had to complain. Anyway spoke to some lady in hr who is like yes you can apply if you have your application ready - erm how could I when no-one has sent me anything?? I thought whilst on mat leave you are meant to have same opportunities as everyone else??

We have a gate on the living room door now, because apparently the shoe rack wasn't fun enough and Squeak got halfway up the stairs in the ten seconds I wasn't looking

I don't have gates anywhere. She creeped herself onto the first stair and screamed to get down.. the crawls off the step into the back room and yesterday ended up crawling round the garden while OH was watching her. She isn't too bad really.. she dabbled in the cats water yesterday but doesn't do much worth saying 'No' for.. though she will throw OH's glasses about.. that is her favourite game.. I think she likes watching him crawl about like a blind man looking for them lol.

I bet it's funny though, the glasses thing :o

We have wooden steps by the door, which goes to the garden from our lounge, the other day I thought it had gone quiet and I looked for her only to find her sat on the back step in the torrential rain happily chatting to herself  OH had pulled the door to but not quite enough.

we just have a plummet onto a concrete floor... but she did it once the quick way.. made her nose bleed, frightened herself silly.. then learned to do it properly.. :D

She often has her head stuck out of the cat flap.. much to the cats disgust!

Hi all, I m a lurking granny lol and have been reading your thread for a good few months now as my daughter is due to have her baby boy on Friday. Where we live apparently they do a sweep on the due date. Can someone tell me what this entails as a matter of interest as i dont recall them being done years ago and also does she have to agree to it or choose to wait a bit longer ? Thanks

HI emerald and congratulations on almost being a gran :)

Sweep, yep you have to agree and it involves the midwife 'sweeping' the cervix to seperate the membranes around the baby from the cervix in the hope that it will induce or at least help mum go into labour. Its very straightforward, no apparatus just midwifes fingers, the longer the better:p:rotfl: It gets offered at 40 weeks (for baby #1) here if you haven't already gone into labour.

And remember its not guaranteed to work, mine didn't...I was VERY put out lol Oh also tell your daughter to wear dark bottoms and take a sanitary towel as its obviosuly internal and all sorts of gunk comes out including blood...I wouldn't say it's painful but it is uncomfortable..nothing a few deep breaths won't sort out though:D

    ETA: LINKY about membrane sweeps

Hope all goes well with the birth x

anyone got any ideas for cot toys??? Something easy on the ears;) for 5/6am that can be attached to the side of the cot so madam doesn't bash it in the night as she's a very active sleeper!

    TIA ladies x
