Hi to RBG and Garnetlady! Glad both babies are well and Amy is ok after her hospital visit.

All is good with us. We took Poppy swimming for the first time yesterday, think she enjoyed it.. we had no crying anywa. I dunked her right under at the end and she looked a bit shocked hehe.

We've taken TJ swimming a few time now and he loves it and get more and more physical in the pool as the weeks go on :)

    Welcome RBG and Garnett.

PP/Delain - How do you change a baby on a bus???

I do find its kids who stare when you BF, I guess because they haven't learnt the social etiquette to look away and are somewhat curious. Maybe it makes me uncomfortable because I half expect them to say something or ask a question. One of my friends kids saw me feeding once and asked why I had pink nipples and not brown ones like her mummy!

My niece came in one day when I was at MILs and I was feeding TJ in the living room away from the rest of the group. She was very curious but I didn't mind as she was only 3 so when she asked was TJ hurting me I told her no he was having his mummy milk (SIL later gave me a dirty look and asked what stories she was going to have to make up later that night and I told her to wise up and tell her what I had told her about the mummy milk :S)

My OH's 4 year od niece came in and said 'i know what you are doing, you are booby feeding' haha bless her, she is used to it though as her mum was still bfing her 2 year old sis before bed!

Is strange when people don't want their kids to know about it.

My twins are a bit odd... It's not that I don't want them to know, it's the fact that they'd probably get really fixated on it and ask everyone questions about their boobs, which is cute at 2 or 3, and just plain weird at 7 :o

When I had James and was feeding him, Josh used to breast feed the dog by stuffing her head up his t-shirt and the dog was stupid enough to let him :rotfl:

    haha brilliant, bless him!

I guess it is a hard thing to explain, especially that some babies are bf and some aren't.

    That's funny, Becles!

I'm all for honesty - best to teach kids it's nothing that's weird or unusual...just the baby having its milk! I think if you make a big deal of it, then the kids will too and the next generation will BF even less than ours do now. :D

Been manic here this week, sorry. Finn's still "just" standing, no steps yet, though sometimes he does look very close to it! He's got a day home with daddy today, so maybe a miracle will happen :p.

Am toying with the idea of getting a play kitchen for Christmas - I must be mad!!

    Morning

Play kitchen stuff is the most played with toy we have. As well as kitchens, you can play cafes, shops, picnics, BBQ's etc., too ;)

Took the day of work to take the bairns to Cragside in Northumberland. Spent the night being sick, including an episode where I was so violently sick my nose started bleeding! Then Charlotte started so I've been up and down with her all night too. Feel like death this morning :(

Not going to Cragside now, but might go for a local picnic or something later if we feel up to it.

Have a good day all xx

We are off to baby sensory this morning and then getting her weighed this afternoon.

She rolled over again this morning from her front to back so don't think the other day was a fluke hehe.

Was OH's birthday yesterday and I made my first homemade cake ever! Didn't come out too bad, and there's half left today, which is just perfect as its LO's half-birthday today!

She seemed to prefer to celebrate by doing a huge poo that went thru nappy, pants, vest, sleepsuit and cot sheets!
