Sammy-girl, long or short haul? We arranged for a basinet for LO and we used that as the nappy changing space too, wasn't going to try to do that in those cramped toilets. If you are breast feeding have a pillow so LO doesn't bang their head on the metal arm rests. And try to feed on take off and landing, it helps their ears with the pressure. Cabin crew were suprisingly really helpful.

Thanks - mid haul I guess! We're going to Madeira - so flight time is about 3.5 hours. Unfortunately I couldn't book a Skycot as we're flying Easyjet. Not BF'ing unfortunately so will have to take bottles. Do they allow the bigger bottles of baby milk through security?

We’re still using the newborn teat on our bottles so she doesn’t become lazy and prefer them over boobies, but is that really mean at 4 ½ months??
Nah..I did the same then went straight onto variflow teats, she can down a bottle in around 20mins on them:)
CL I’m confused about naps now – 45 mins to an hour twice a day doesn’t sound like much, how do you fill the rest of your time?
She helps me with housework:D Well I clean while she trys to pull all the wires and cables she can slither to or the easy solution...bash her in the walker:)

That's all she will do. At 7pm she starts to get restless and I give her her supper, get her into a sleepsuit, nappy change, BF and bed before 8pm. She goes over when taking her BF, so I just lift her into her cot.
DDs the same(if she's not being a stubborn mare!)....20-45mins in the morning around 10/11ish and then approx 1-1.5hrs around 3/4ish unless like I said shes being stubborn, then we're lucky if she goes down for more than 20mins each time..just enough to recharge her batteries *sigh* I'm refusing to drive/walk her to sleep as I don't want her relying on movement to sleep:o and then she goes down for bed while having her last bottle at around 7:30pm...then we're good til 4am when she realises she's on her own and wants her reassurance cuddle(gotta love the attachment stage!) then shes good til 6/7ish :)

Do you have a Jumperoo MV? My LO will spend about 20-30 mins bouncing which gives me a break. I saw on Hotdeals that they are £62 on Amazon and Tesco Direct. Apparently if you call Mothercare they price match and give you a £10 gift voucher.

Is a jumperoo a door bouncer?

If so I have one :)

Make sure you get on the plane early (families get on before everyone else but after the people who paid to get on first). Try and sit where there are three seat but keep the seat in-between you free, works even on busy flights if you pretend that it's LO's seat ;). I have an ipod touch with a few games on which has always been great for keeping Erin quiet while travelling.

OH was on early shift this morning so he slept in the spare room but popped in to get something just as he was leaving at 5am and Erin woke up and saw him and that was it - she thought it was play time and wouldn't go back to bed  She normally is very good at staying in bed until 8:30 or when I wake her if I'm working.

It's a free standing bouncer with toys to play with all around. The seat turns around 360 degrees.

ah yes i just looked that up Amazon.

It seems to have good customer reviews, so you'd recommend it too?

My sister gave me one of the Fisher Price rainforest swing chairs and he really isn't keen on that at all. I was quite disappointed as he likes being rocked.

Oooh, just remembered. MV - if you add the kids package to Sky its only an extra £1 :) You can add it via the TV, you don't need to phone them up.

MIL has just turned up and I gave DD to her and she cried!

Jumperoos are brilliant! Joe loves his :D He starts trying to jump before he's even in it (which makes actually getting him in it tricky!)

I'm not sure if this'll work, but here goes... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6578399&l=9e92d87215&id=609643172

I think his face says it all!
