You lot have sold me on the jumperoo too. To be honest we haven't bought LO much toy-wise as she hasn't much been interested in what we have and I didn't want to be cluttering the place up with more unwanted stuff. But if I can entertain her and keep her in one place at the same time could be just what mummy needs.

Sorry, another question from me. We're going on holiday on Monday and it will be Esme's first time on a plane - any hints and tips? DH has already been delegated nappy changer as I can stand the small toilets on the plane as it is, let alone with a wriggly baby!

It's easier to buy cartons of milk airside and take empty sterilised bottles with you. You get held up in security with milk and they might make you taste it. You can only take what is necessary for the flight, but I'd rather have a couple of spare cartons just in case of delays.

Make sure she has plenty of stuff to keep her amused and something to suck on landing and take off in case her ears pop.

Take plenty of nappies and spare clothing, just in case you get delayed.

Nappy changing in a plane toilet is a challenge! Charlotte did a huge poo and I just got her legs up in the air was ready to wipe her, when the plane hit turbulence. I was standing there trying to balance myself and not come into contact with a pooey bum :rotfl:

Hope you have a good holiday

    Lovely picture CL

I'm not keen on swearing in the house either delain.

MERFE - I would complain about that. She's a bit young to pass messages on. James still struggles remembering to pass messages on and he's 12 now!

Charlotte is happily playing in the garden, paddling in a plastic storage box with water in it. Who needs expensive toys? :rotfl:

Oh wow you guys have been chatty today - is it the rain that's kept everyone in?

I'm going to have to catch up tomorrow as I'm juggling cooking dinner/DD/Reading MSE and watching hollyoaks. Want to finish my book tonight as I'm at the library tomorrow so would like to hand it back....so I will read back tomorrow. :)

Jumperoos are great, good deal at amazon, tescos and mothercare - as you can probably sell it on 2nd hand for about £40 on ebay/netmums etc. I got mine 2nd hand and will probably give it to one of my nieces or nephew then sell it on. I leave mine in the kitchen as only way to do washing up/cooking/laundry etc. You can fold it down a bit so can move it to one side, but is still pretty bulky. Love the pics btw.

I'm with you mi3 re feeding in public, why should I hide in a yucky place I did at first but no more!

Lovely Becles on the plane re the poo.

Busy day, had first aid training with Rach and our LOs were in the creche - apparently t ran then ragged as was trying to crawl but failing so then getting annoyed. We were there for 2 hours and didn't get called out so was proud of them! Then went to ikea and t had his tea there, love blw had fish, chips and peas!

our boys did well today sir m. mine only cried when i left him with you to go to the loo haha :rotfl: only joking!

dh vetoed the jumperoo here but we do have a door bouncer which he goes in between tea and bath every night. he loves it!

re naps, L does best with one about 9 and another starting 12.30-1 depending on how long the first one is. But the last couple of days he's slept 90 mins in the morning and nothing in the aft which isn't ideal!

I'm looking at 3 houses tomorrow, don't think any will be suitable but worth a look for ideas. we also have 2 booked for sat.

It didn't rain here until 9;30 tonight..

I have awful heartburn tonight.. off on a gaviscon hunt in a mo.

I am home alone all weekend with sickypuss which I am NOT looking forward too.. I'm not so good at being on my own after about 7pm.. in fact I do tend to fall to pieces a bit come 9pm..

I need it to be Sunday and fast!

    Morning

Hope the weekend isn't too bad pigpen.

Busy busy here again today with loads to do. Got to pop out this morning, then come home as someone is coming to give me a quote on some home improvement work. It's the first of several for a comparison project for work. Spending the rest of the day trying to tackle my huge "to do" list.

Hope everyone has a good day xx

    morning all

good night here in that monkey slept from just before 7 til 6.20 without a peep. He has still woken up tired though, I guess because he's skipped his afternoon nap the last 2 days. I put him down about 20 mins ago but can still hear him chatting to himself, hopefully he'll go off soon and have a decent nap. It seems to be taking him ages to go to sleep at the moment and I feel bad when he's just in his cot rolling round and chatting for ages, feels like some kind of romanian orphan situation!

if we have a no 2 i'll definitely get a jumperoo, probably wouldn't bother with the swing as we borrowed my sisters but L was never really bothered, it was good for a small window for naps but not long.

pigpen - hope your weekend flies by, sure it will be fine.
