Hi all! Sorry for being absent this week - our laptop power cable broke so I could only get on for short periods of time. All fixed now

That's good to hear Aless that you're back.
I hate weekends DH is really doing my nut in, so not feeling well at all do I get help or sympthathy? DS not napped today at all as said to DH he is tired we should put him down but missed the moment so didn't, now trying again after trying at 12 and t just wailing for half an hour, so he brought him down for some lunch but back up again - so many mixed messages!! If I was on my own would have had 2 naps already - sorry for whinging!
Nephthys seems not the only one makes me feel better not doing anything wrong and maybe one of things that will hopefully pass for all of us!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

awww sir m, hope he gets his nap. I am quite strict with napping routines, simply because I know if I'm not, DH would probably never even think of putting him down!
glad to be back. It was a long week, so very happy it's the weekend. I do dislike the weekends a tiny bit though, because I'm trying to lose some weight and there's sooooooooooo many more temptations at home. When I'm at work, I can only eat what I've brought with me IYSWIM...top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

oh rach thats painful too, BIL had that just before easter and had to have so much time off work. I was quite poorly with infection for a while too so many different antibiotics, christmas was a bit pants.
My only night off this week for the evening because OH is working tomorrow night and he has agreed to take next door to the airport, which is fine but I do like my night off. He did take them all to the park for an hour earlier so I could do my exercise DVD.0 -
Giz - that sounds like normal to me
I'm a right disorganised mess. I've got a calender synched to my phone and Outlook on my PC. If I take on work, I must put it in my diary immediately otherwise I just forget to do the jobs, or I can't remember when I've agreed to do them etc.
James said on Thursday evening that he'd used all the apple juice up and I needed to get more on Friday. I also noticed we were low on milk, and wrote myself a note to buy milk. Did my jobs and bought milk in the last supermarket but just clean forgot about the apple juice until tea time last night when he looked in the fridge and asked if I bought any
We were going to have enchilada's for tea tonight but I forgot to get the chicken out the freezer this morning. Josh said he was pleased I'd forgotten as he really fancies fish and chips but I don't know if he means that or he was trying to humour me :rotfl: We do have fish and chips in the freezer so he'll be happy.
Went to another football presentation evening last night. All the teams in the under 14's and 13's were there who came either first or second in their leagues. Josh's team came second and they all got a trophy each and one of those big wooden shield plaques for the team to keep until next year.
Took them to Segadunum roman fort this morning. They enjoyed it and found it interesting. They've built up the bath house so you can see what it would have been like in Roman times. Charlotte's favourite bit was the row of stone toilets and the communal sponge on a stick for bum wiping:rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....0 -
Madness and mayhem -sounds like you are doing a great job. I struggle enough with one child! I also get a bit emotional sometimes, was crying yesterday worried i am doing a bad job. Other days (like today) I am fine though so hoping it is just a bit of the blues ocassionally.
Becles - :rotfl:at Charlottes fave bit. Sounds like it was a good outing.
I am attempting to teach Poppy to sleep in her moses basket during the day. She does not like napping and fights to stay awake all day, she will fall asleep on me though and really worried it will turn into a habit. Hed bedtime is also getting later,1.30 am last two nights arghh! Hoping it is a phase.0 -
Gulp wendz at those bedtimes, as DS has not really napped today (maybe half an hour) he has gone to bed just after 6 so who knows what time will be up! Also you may want to read the no cry nap solution as gives you ideas for nap resisters/going from sleeping in arms nappers etc - I am re reading this now, borrowed from Rach
Aless when did you start a napping routine?? DS is 9 months and I am trying, he usually (apart from today) has naps about 9,12 and 3 but only short - think want to extend them too but not sure how?
Becles I love those Roman forts but also how obsessed they are with the latrines!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

M&M you sound pretty organised to me, even if you don't feel very together. I only have the one but trying to get anything done around the house when she only catnaps for 20-30 minutes - I've barely warmed up the iron, or got the hoover out before she's off again.
SirM - sounds like I might need to get that no cry nap book too.
Wendz - its not uncommon for LO's to be allergic to their moses baskets at first, they have been used to the comfort of the womb and just want to be permanently attached to nice, warm mummy. Have you got a sling? It means you can get on and do stuff while LO feels like you haven't abandoned them.
Must be the week for burning things, I thought I'd be a good old-styler and make bread pudding with some leftover bread and completely forgot I'd put it in the oven - two hours later, charred remains, not very MSE.
Does anyone else suffer from cuts from their LO's nails? I've got a gash on my face, some on my arms and as for the boobs .....We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

YES! Scratches all over me! I have to cut her nails 3 times a week. They grow so fast. Now she also bites my hands/arms and leaves little puncture marks. Delightful!0
