Since Erin was 1 she just has a feed in the morning then one before her lunch time nap, one around 5:30 (coincides with when I usually get home from work) and one before bed (8:30pm). (If I go out though she is fine just having the one first thing and last thing!) I basically kept up with don't offer - don't refuse but if she wants a feed and I don't want to feed her I just try to distract her - going outside works best.

Hi Rach, i think ours are roughly the same age. I remember we were due the same time - am way too shy to post too often! (which is weird cos its an internet forum so no one can see me!)

Anyhoo - Isaac is bf and is on 3 meals a day. I feed him between 6 and 7am depending on when he wakes. He has breakfast about 9ish made up with my milk, a bf about 11, lunch about 1ish/1.30ish. He has a bf between 3 and 4 depending on his nap and then we have dinner at 6. He takes some water with his meals. He then has a bf feed after his bath and then bed. He hasn't been fed at nighttime for a while now. He does wake up occasionally but goes back over quick enough (unfortunately that can sometimes be in with us!).

He never really seems hungry - doesn't cry looking anything and refuses when he is full. My DH did give him a bottle at night with milk I had expressed but have had to stop as my milk has reduced so much that I can no longer express enough so just feed him myself now.

Hope that doesn't sound like I'm rambling! Neph

Ooo giz, do you leave nearish Brighton? We live 30 minutes away but haven't made it done there for a day out yet! lol...

rach, are you frustrated because he's feeding too much? That sounds about what Finn was doing at that age - I only started trying to cut out feeds during the day at around 10 months because I was going back to work. That's when he started sleeping through without feeds, too and he was definitely eating 3 solid meals a day! They will do it in the their own time.

Have fun at the pirate day tomorrow, Jenny! I wish we still lived around there so we could come too :D.

Hi Nephthys, keep posting. It's nice to have another NI girl on here.

Last night was the second night in a row LO slept from 8pm to 7am with no night feed! Long may it last! Had a lovely day walking round the park and I'm going to sit out on the patio with a glass of wine when LO goes to bed.

Loving the weather, but I suspect the thermometer for our LO's room may be faulty, as we put it outside and apparently it's 45 degrees in Northern Ireland today LOL!

That sounds like a nightmare delain.

We never go anywhere either jennynoo. We stay in every night and don't really do anything together. I usually watch TV or a film, then have a read of a couple of forums, while he talks to people on Twitter. I can't get into Twitter and I don't like reading what he posts, so I keep away from it.

On the occasions we do go out for mystery shopping meals, he keeps checking his phone and commenting on Twitter which annoys me, so I don't accept meal jobs now unless it's somewhere I really want to go to :o

Had a good day out today and the bairns really enjoyed themselves. It's still warm here. They've just made a load of home made water bombs with my sandwich bags and are currently throwing them at each other on the grass out the back :rotfl: Must buy sandwich bags tomorrow :D
Here I go again on my own....

I guess you shouldn't do 'don't offer don't refuse' until they can actually ask for milk. We taught erin the sign for milk and she also used to lift my top up so it was quite clear when she wanted it. I've taught her to say dabdabs now so if we are in public it wont be obvious what she is asking for ;)

Becles - i wouldn't stand for that! Twittering while out is not polite! My oh plays computer games in the evening so he can't do that while out luckily. I either watch tele or iron/do tapestry /sew or read forms while watching tele - I like to multi-task!

Currently sipping on some wine while OH baths Erin - bliss :)

Hi CL! It certainly felt like 45 derees today! Baby spent most of the time rolling round in just his vest and was still too hot! Its currently 26 degrees in his bedroom right now. Ours is only marginally better at 25!

And yayy for the better sleeping - it doesn't half help to get a night of unbroken sleep yourself. LO managed from 8pm to 5am this morning. I gave in at about 6 and fed him and the little so and so slept until 8.45. I, unfortunately, was wide awake!

On the cute side he will now walk holding my hands. He's very wobbly but he enjoys it. And he's making many more noises - usually very loudly at about 5am!

lovely to see you nepthys! do stick around :)

aless - no i don't mind the daytime feeds at all, just wondering if 2 so close together stop him feeding so well at bedtime. He has slept through 4 nights, though didn't last night, i was really in need of the sleep and the disturbed nights have put a big strain on me and dh so i'm glad!

evenings i tend to surf the net too and have half an eye on the tv. dh does stuff on the other comp, watches tv or plays ps2 sometimes. I often have to do my freelance stuff in the evenings too. we do try and do /watch one thing together each eve.

we are going to a wedding tomorrow, it's about an hour away but we're only going to the service as only invited to the evening which is a hassle as in laws are not around to look after LO.

It was so warm. LO fell asleep in her pram when we were out for a walk and when we got home I parked her in the shade and she slept for over an hour. I had to wake her up because it was dinner time. She was so cute in her Baby Banz.

She was lying on the rug in the living room in just her nappy and was so hot and lethargic, so I thought she would like a cool bath. It must have been a little too cool because she made that gasping noise you so when you jump in a cold pool, so I had to warm it a bit. Bad mummy!
