Delain - I'm impressed you managed to clean the bin cupboard with spiders...you wouldn't get me near it. I hate even using a hoover to get them.

I was meant to be having a day off today - being that I do nothing cleaning wise and have some me time while DD sleeps. But it's not quite worked out.

I've been ill (bad enough that I would have had a sick day from work). So I feel it's gone to waste. And DD had projectile sicked on me twice today. She hasn't done it in a while, at least 2 weeks so I was hoping it was over with. But maybe her being ill is making her sick again. 3 clothes changes for her and 2 for me. Unfortunately I had the duvet on the sofa so she sicked all over that so I had to stick the cover in the wash. Not sure what to do with the duvet.

I did manage to watch The Pursuit of Happiness during which DD fed for half of it. Thinking about it, maybe she's been over filling herself today.

Thanks for the eye tips. And yes I've been using new cotton wall for each wipe. It seems to get better throughout the day, but it's looking a little red around the corner and she sometimes rubs it in frustration so I think it's bothering her at times. So glad I've booked the doctors now - if only for peace of mind.

I'm still struggling with the Daktarin. She cried all the way through one dose, and projectile vomited over me during the other. Got to do another now :( I thought it'd be easier giving medicine to babies than to my rabbits, but my rabbits are much easier!

Can anyone recommend a high chair?

And a car seat for group 1? Bearing in mind I have a 3 door car, will I want a group 1 car seat with a fixed base? Or by then will it be easier to put baby in the seat while it's fixed in place?

The reason I'm asking now is we have lots of Mothercare vouchers - and I'd rather get one of these items for the future than anything else.

Highchair.. makes sure the straps come off for washing or they go mouldy.. and a removable tray is best too.

Ikea antilope high chair is great and £14 for the chair and tray :)

Car seats - for group 1 are usually too heavy to lift much so you leave them in the car, not sure about bases. Apparently you dont need group 1 one until LO's head is near the end of the group 0 seat even if there legs are scrunched up and backwards facing is the safest so Erin is still in her group 0 seat. We're going to get the Britax duo plus as we have isofix in our car so we may as well use it! On the britax website you can say what car you have and they will tell you what car seats will fit. From the reviews I read Britax or maxicosi are the best. I think Mothercare have 10% off at the moment I have a code somewhere if you want it (so do Halfords) but it still looks cheaper elsewhere on the web. (don't use babytime london who are always cheapest though as they have tonnes of bad reviews). Does that help?

They just ran out of them for a while.
And they've gone up in price - but only by a pound.

I always just used boosters on the chairs for the other 2 but since we have run out of dining room chairs for bob (opps) he had to have a highchair so I splashed out and got a fresco bloom - not at all mse but I bought it from ebay. I do love it at the mo as the tray is completely off and he sits in it all morning whilst I sort breakfast in the kitchen and he can see me. It lays completely flat so is suitable from birth to use as a chair.

Car seats DS had a maxicosi tobi which again I love. It was the only non isofix seat that would actually fit in our old car because of where the buckles finished, even the same models of cars can have slightly different buckle positioning so you have to be careful. Numpty at mothercare fitted DD then when we went back to buy one for DS a year later they said it wasn't fitted properly - erm you guys put it in grrr. Fuming doesn't even come close.

Thanks, I have a 10% off voucher for mothercare already and £120 in gift cards. I know I could get cheaper elsewhere, but there's nothing else we really want or need from Mothercare and I think their clothes are really overpriced.

That's great - I'll keep this one in mind to maybe have at my mums house.

Hmmm mothercare do the tobi in cuppacino reduced to £140. Wonder if they sell in store. Not 100% sure maxicosi will fit my car though as my registration year isn't on the drop down! 2004 isn't that old is it?!

I'm not even going to show the fresco bloom to OH as I know he would love it!
