Warning -rant!
We've just got home from the school run, bus was absolutely packed, and an old woman with a walking frame (who doesn't need it - she picked it up and ran across the road in front of a bus just before Christmas - the driver missed her by about a foot ) just stood in the aisle and went 'Who's going to move?' which was just bl00dy rude, and then she had the cheek to ask a disabled Lady to move so she could sit down   All the regular passengers know what she's like so no one moved. Eventually some random people did and she sat down, but not as close to the front as she would have liked.
Anyway a man with a walking stick was stood up, really nice guy chatting away so I stood up and offered him my seat, and the woman with the walking frame didn't half glare at me :rotfl:
Then, when it came time for the walking frame beast to get off, I was going to help her with the frame since the bus was so busy only to discover she's already walking down the (moving!) bus with it, she shoved past my back and ran her frame over my foot  :mad:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Brand new baby first showing in November!
Brand new baby boy (Matthew) born 3 weeks early weighing a diddly 5lb 4 oz!!0 -
Sorry to hear about your Uncle Maz xx I know how you feel. My Nana had cancer but she was in so much pain and had lost her mental and bodily functions, it was a blessing when she passed and was free of the pain.
Sorry to hear what your lot are going through pigpen. Hope they are ok xx
Pookie - I didn't like baby and toddler groups either. I found them boring as everyone talked about the same topics each week such as Pampers v Huggies, what you fed your baby, the colour of your baby's poo and everyone's baby did everything way before everyone elses.
Sorry to hear Matthew has been referred. If it's any consolation, James didn't really say anything until after his third birthday, then he started talking in full sentences all of a sudden.
I would have "accidentally" tripped her up too delain - stupid woman! Here I go again on my own....0 -
delain all your bus stories make me so glad I drive - so glad. I do not miss smelly buses one bit. grrr old people.
Pookie I used to be like that when DD and DS were younger, really hated the groups, I think it does depend what ones you go to etc. At the minute I go to a baby group so its all little uns so they haven't really turned into bullies yet, mostly they stay whereever they are put and play with whatever we put in front of them. Our conversations have been more about us too, work, hubbies etc a little about the babies but it really hasn't been competitive. I went to one group though and there was this manic lady who kept repeated herself with crazy excitement about the things her 9 month old could do, since no amount of agreeing with her or saying yes DS was like that but they all catch up by school age could convince her her precious little one wasn't the most talented and gifted child ever so in the end I just laughed at her it was quite comical. Bob is well slow but nothing to worry about, a first time mum could get worried about their child being behind though. I know I've had moments when I've thought maybe he'll never do anything but he can now roll front to back woohoo.
Been to the docs for Bob today, he has some canesten hc cream because he has a nappy rash that won't go, its at the front not the back and the HV said they can get a touch of thrush, poor thing. He seems unaffected by it though.0 -
Merfe... none of mine bothered rolling.. squeak has rolled maybe half a dozen times and just can't be bothered.. but she can sit up now.. just.. at 7.5 months.. I don't like to encourage them to be mobile.. you only have to chase them about etc.. drives me mad! DD3 was 11.5 months before she did anything.. at 10 months she didn't even support her own head! he sat unaided at 11.5 months, crawled 3 weeks later and walked at 15 months... but holy moose that girl could talk!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hello
Daisypoos has been poorlyShe's been quiet in bed for an hour so hopefully that means an improvement.
Hope those pins and needles go very soon and that you feel super duper cos its about time that you had a bit of good health stuff;)
What a sad time for Josh:(
I love going to my baby/toddler group!! I've got a lovely group of mummy friends there... and apart from the odd 1 or 2 mums everyone seems ok. Not come across any "my baby read the whole of the dictionary last night" type thing.
Just like pigpen's squeak... Daisy can roll but doesn't bother most of the time. She's been sitting up for months now and is now at the stage where she doesn't wobble/fall at all so can be left sat on the floor:)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
I don't push them either but DD rolled like crazy all over the place - it was a pita - or she would lay on her back and push with her legs to move about but refused to sit up. DS was quite quick but then he had a 15 month older sister to copy and keep up with, he is still doing it as he tries to read her school books - he is just a big copycat. Bob likes to watch everything so I think he is a lazy one just watch the world go by and why not.
ah smartie hope daisy is better soon. Bob was unwell recently and it seemed to last nearly a month, better now though which makes things easier.0 -
We're on day 5 of runny bum and those sodding teeth are still not through!!! She has calpol, ibuprofen and anbesol and is still screaming.. but...
*drumroll*
We decided we can drink from our beaker!!!!!!!
She won't hold it but she drinks... After he 17 nappies today it is such a relief knowing he is getting some fluid in her... now to get her to hold the beaker!
She sits quite stable most of the time but launches for stuff out of reach and ends up on her face.. then screams blue murder.
oooh face rubbing.. bed time!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Yay for Squeak and beaker, and for sitting daisy :T
My Squeak has had a go with hers, sometimes she'll have it, sometimes she won't.
She's a roller though, rolls all around the roombut can only sit unaided for a minute or so before getting distracted and falling.

DD (6.5 weeks old) has had a sticky eye for a couple of days. Been cleaning it with cooled boiled water, but been reading about using breastmilk which I might try.
Should I be going to the doctors though? It was green/snot coloured this morning. It seems to be worse when she's been asleep. She has a cold so I guess that could be why she has it?
I just worry I'm being too chilled about things and instead of being the type of mum that goes to the docs for everything, I'm going to cause more harm by not going.Baby Giz born 6/2/110
