  • Can't find anybody wanting to sell 2nd hand BG v4s for a price comparison, lots of v3s and v2s. Am I the only nutter out here wanting to sell some?
Am taking Tigger to work this week for lunch with some colleagues, that'll be a shock to the system to be going up town again. Southeastern trains are naff, hope I'll be able to get back before the rushhour starts. I haven't been on the trains with him before and am planning to bring the pram. Apart from remember to : a)bring baby and his gear, b)get out of pjs and look slightly presentable, any words of extra advice anyone for the travelling bit?

Avoid the rushour. If you haven't arrived home before it starts, stay out till it finishes!

If you're on the train and your buggy is big, as the guard who gets off on the platform to help you get on and off. If you ask nicely I'm sure they'll be only too happy :)

It's a maclaren lxr so hopefully not too much of a faff, thanks for the tip about the guard. :) Hoping I won't need to fold it down (haven't mastered that one handed yet) so will try to get a seat near the doors.

Anyway I REALLY ought to do some housework-parts of my house look as though i've been burlgled :rotfl:

I've got three children and two dogs, so mine always looks like that :o

While I'm tidying up one room, they're busy making a mess in another one :wall:

I always think that when I watch those shows like property ladder and they knock down all the walls in the houses (not that I have the money to buy one! lol) and I always think 'Why would you want to be able to see the washing up from the sofa? And where would all our[STRIKE] assorted crap [/STRIKE]treasured possesions go?'

I noticed the fashion for kitchen diners when I bought this house. I specifically wanted a kitchen and separate dining room, because I wouldn't want to eat in the kitchen surrounded by dirty pots and pans.

Plenty of things for the train Jade - like things to look at or play with so he doesn't get bored.

Feel better today. The sun is out and I've got sheets blowing on the line, so I'm looking forward to getting into a nice fresh bed tonight :D

I'm so sorry - I haven't read back. I've been ill the last few days and today have been diagnosed thrush on boobies. I just wondered if anyone else has had thrush? Did you use Daktarin gel on your baby? I'm so paranoid about using it as it says not to use on under 4 month olds (due to choking hazard), and my DD is 6 weeks. But the doc prescribed it and he said to put it on my finger and rub it on her gums and inside the cheeks. But I'm still paranoid.

I used it on DS3 from being a month old.. it is way better than that stinking nystan stuff, I had the cream for me and also the foot powder for DS1's athletes foot too.

Thanks pigpen, I had heard nystatin stuff is rubbish. I haven't got cream for my nipples. Just the fluconazole tablets for 10 days.

I hope it is thrush because then hopefully this will fix the pain. I was wondering why it was more painful at night (so painful I'm in tears), but I've been taking paracetomol during the day for my cold so I guess that could be helping with the pain during the day.

Hope you feel better soon Giz and that it clears up in both of you xx

Quiet day with work again here. Going grocery shopping this morning, then pottering around at home again.

Shock news. Josh just found out one of their friends was knocked down and killed last night. Such as shame as he was a canny bairn. Going to be a tough day in school for them all - bless them xx
