we think they are fab :) Were you concerned about something with using them?

No I just wondered. Squeak as a 6-12 month one that should be good for her soon.

What are everyone's feelings on baby sleeping bags?

We loved sleeping bags in the winter, but couldn't get on with them when the weather was warmer. We went onto a toddler quilt this winter though.

The weather here is filthy today, so we are enjoying an afternoon at home. I need to get off my arris and go and make veggie shepherd's pie for tea. I might make some foccacia too. Nom, nom!

My hungry caterpillar bedset still needs to be put away:o It's been sitting on the floor for me to admire for a few days now!:rotfl:

Daisypoos has been sitting in her highchair for a month ish now as she likes to sit up and be nosey BUT its crap (I asked the other day about highchairs) We're going to keep using it until we move then may be having a trip to ikea:)

She's been having fruity porridge for a couple of days and LOVES it!! As soon as she sees the bowl she opens her mouth and gets excited. I've only been giving her a little bit but she wants more:eek: Don't want to go giving her bowls of the stuff just yet though. We've now seen a definite improvement at night:j

I personally don't like sleeping bags but I seem to be in the minority. We're happy with good old blankets;)

We love them. Little Miss roams around her cot in her sleep and I worry about her getting cold, so we're using a Gro-Bag and fleecey sleepsuits.

A large jar of capers (stop drooling on your keyboard aless!)

    Puy lentils

    Dried kidney beans

Hmm. Lentils as dahl with rice? You could add the kidney beans as well. And capers ... hmm, kidney bean and cheap meaty stew (Husband suggests a meaty bone in a primarily bean and veg stew but with capers in cooking and as decoration at the end).

We're sleeping bag fans here too. Lily moves about so much and she used to kick the blankets over her face.

Unfortunatly baby boy is going to be in pink sleeping bags because they are almost new and no one can see anyway :p

We've been using sleeping bags ever since coming out of swaddling. A+ here!

Highchairs - can't go wrong with IKEA Antilop. £15 and the easiest thing in the world to clean :D.

Right, CAPERS. Easy-peasy: pizza/calzones, pasta bakes, tossed with pasta, pasta salad, spag bol-type dish. Work best with tomato-based dishes and/or pasta.

L is currently having his meals on the highchair seat unit which strap onto a normal chair (awful explanation i know) but its quite small, and the tray is close to him.

We had a strap on too :D

I never had a proper high chair and just used the dining chair one for all of mine. They started off with the tray on, then sat up to the table on it, then it went when they could kneel on a dining chair.

I think they are fantastic. I didn't have them with the boys and they were blanket kickers, so I ended up running a small electric radiator in their room over night to keep the chill off. Both were winter babies.

Had sleeping bags with Charlotte and she was nice and toasty. Josh did a cross country race when she was a baby and it was bitterly cold outside, so I popped her in the pram in her sleeping bag. Everyone was jealous and wanted to get in there with her as she looked so cosy :D

Had a day off work today and been to a spa for a massage. It was through Groupon so good value for money :money: I had a load of knots and tension in my shoulders, so I had a deep tissue massage. It hurt, but she's worked a load of knots out and I feel much better now.
Here I go again on my own....

We love sleeping bags too. I started off with sheets and blankets but at around 12 weeks he kicked them off all the time. He moves all over his cot now and his sleeping bag goes with him :)

    evening x

We use sleeping bags and think they are great.

With highchairs we are gonna need one this time and haven't seen anything I like for a decent price so still waiting for something to jump out at me. Ikea is too far away unfortunately. With the other 2 we used boosters on the dining chairs but we don't have enough chairs now only 4 at the table so at some stage I will need a new dining table and chairs, trying to put that off a little while longer.

I took bobs to baby bounce and rhyme today, he seemed to enjoy the parts he was awake for lol
Have booked my postnatal checkup but they don't have any appointments available with the nurse for bobs vaccinations so they were getting the nurse to ring me back, not heard anything so far, they are really rubbish at the moment.

Anyway I need to apply for the ssmg before he gets to 3 months, I'm not sure if we do qualify, we get £230 per 4 weeks child tax credit but I'm not sure if its because we get a higher rate or if they owe us some but with all the time OH has had to have off as unpaid when I was in the hospital we lost £500 last month and that on top of £700 less in nov because of paternity money is a little tight. If we got the grant it would make such a difference. I've not applied for one before, I have the form but do you think the HV at the weighing clinic would sign the back page or should I try to get the doctor to sign it at my postnatal check?
