Personally, Ladybird, I'd just chuck her in the bath anyway. And/or take her swimming :). And you DH doesn't brush his teeth?? LOL, how does he have any left? :p

    Afternoon all

Got a virus on the computer yesterday so had to do a system destruct thingy, since I only use it for the internet I've not lost anything so thats good. All sorted now too.

DS cord fell off after 4 days and was really yucky looking, I'd asked about it when it was hanging by a thread in the hospital on day 2 and they said it was fine, just clean round it with cooled boiled water and cotton wool. It healed really quickly once the cord actually fell off.

DD went through a not wanting a bath stage. It was awful because she is so stubborn. Now I think it was partly tiredness and partly trying to be independent. She still says she doesn't want a bath sometimes now but I just say tough and she gets in so loads easier. I had forgotten about all that till you mentioned it ladybird. It's probably part the reason I gave up doing bedtimes and OH took over.

I'd like to not bath Bob every night, I know he doesn't need it but I'd end up putting him to bed at 5:30pm if I didn't bath him. He nearly fell asleep in the bath the other night. He pooed at 11pm again last night but has been doing 3-4 runny ones a day so I think he is still poorly from the sickness bug he had, he is totally alert though and happy enough. I just changed him and put him back in the moses basket last night and he went back to sleep too so he doesn't need milk to help him go back to sleep.

Hi guys, well i had a bit of a scare today, i fell down the stairs this afternoon with William in my arms. He is fine, was a little shaken, but i managed to get him to laugh. I on the other hand am quite bruised and just a little emotional. It is not great timing as OH has a gig tonight, so i am on my own with William despite having an elbow that i can hardly bend or staighten.

Ow LL :( You will find that everyone has a similar story. I dropped Izzy on her head at 3 months and took her to A&E. By the time we got there she was grinning at everyone and they were more worried about the frantic mother who was looking a bit pale and wobbly!

It turns out the answer to the bath dilema was a bubble bath with Daddy (something he always said he wouldn't do... first time in 2 years!) ... they are having a whale of a time. Best carry on tidying while no-one is following in my wake making a mess again!

Lucky you Giz - I got my letter today but not gettin payment until middle of March :(
I wonder why that is? I sent my form off about a week ago, so I was quite impressed to get the back pay so soon.

Same here! Just renewed house insurance yesterday, breakdown cover needs renewing next week and my car failed it's MOT today :( It needs a new intercooler pipe as it failed on emissions, so they're getting one in tomorrow. That's another £79 on top of the service and MOT fee.
:( That's a pain. I'm hoping my car will pass the MOT this year. Fingers crossed. Why am I so daunted at the fact of having to get an MOT/Service with a baby in tow? I'm sure I will get used to it, but everything seems to be such a bigger chore now.

Awww, hope William is feeling better.

    @Leopard - hope you're both OK. (hugs)

I went to town today with OH and DD. SPD is definitely still there and I didn't last as long as I'd hoped. But we did manage to have a look at the baby rooms and I have to say I'm quite impressed.

I've been very worried about BF in public, but there are 3 rooms in the shopping centre, all with chairs, sinks, changing areas and microwaves.

In Mothercare there is a room with microwave, sink etc and a curtained area for BF.

Boots also has a room (probably the least best).

M&S's room was in use so couldn't have a nose.

This has made me so happy though. If my town has facilities then I'm sure others will.

Does anyone know if Thorpe Park has a room for breastfeeding?

In other news I phoned today about Working Tax Credits and they've said I should be entitled to about £21 a week, so the forms are in the post. If it weren't for this website I wouldn't have even known about them.
