Thanks. I got a nice diary half price in John Lewis- a bargainous £3.
Also got Henry new shoes (he'd gone up a whole size) in the sale and this. I had a £50 John Lewis voucher so it was all very bargainous.
I then went and got cheap veggies at Aldi and got a pack of their nappies to try. They seem to get good reviews and at 10p a nappy I thought they were worth a try.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
We have a breakthrough - Izzy now LOVES baked beans. She wouldn't touch them last time she tried them, but I thought I'd try again now and she's cleaned the plate

I am just after a few pieces of advice really!
My son is nearly 15 months old and in the last couple of weeks when I have got him up in the morning, he is absolutely soaking wet all over his front, thruogh his cest, pjs and into his sleeping bag! I have tried the next size up of nappies and also different nappies but it doesn't seem to help... Any suggestions?
He still has a full bottle before bed (is this too much?) And also I am unsure when I can stop giving him his bottles of milk... He has one in a morning and one at night. He will drink water from a cup but I can't get him to drink milk from it so am wondering if I could just stop his bottles as long as he gets enough calcium from other sources?! Again any more ideas?!
Finally, when did you start encouraging your LO's to feed themselves? He is fine with finger foods but just wants to bash his bowl and food when I give his a spoon! Is it too soon to be worrying or should he be at least giving it a go now?
Sorry for the long winded post at this tmie of a morning!
Thanks for reading!

Just checking, are you sure it's wee? If LO is too hot they can sweat quite a bit. My LO is still breastfed (14 months) and always has a huge feed before bed but I haven't had any problems - we're currently using Pampers active fit nappies size 4 - but it's probably a boy thing
We did baby led weaning so Erin has always fed herself but she still misses her mouth lots and does lots of waving of spoons covered in yoghurt  and bashing around. Depends if you want to deal with the mess or not! The latest thing is trying to use mummies cutleryMum to DD born Oct 2009

Ladybird, I've always had problems when Erin has had baked beans - horrible nappies and even nappies during the night so wont be giving them again any time soon. Does anyone know what is causing this?

I haven't actually posted on the new thread yet lol.
Im not going to try and catch up, im sure i haven't missed anything major?
Not much going on here, Lily is trying to speak more which is fantastic. She still cant say Mama. But we have 'Dada' 'daddy' 'Row row row' and i swear she tried to say 'bear' the other day :j
She can say 'No' but she usually slaps us and shouts 'No' :rotfl:
Cant belive she will be 1 in two months! My baby is growing up *sniff*0 -

D adores beans but they do leave us with some spectacular nappies (only day time ones though thankfully) with barely digested beans in _pale_ I guess it is the high fibre but I have no idea really. He loves them though so I give him them once or twice a week when I know DH is around so he can do nappy changesThe one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents:D

Loving that thinking Hammy.... I shall add that to my brain store for later reference LOL
Advice por favour?
Yoghurts suitable for a 7 month in one week old?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Thanks guys, I will look out for beany nappies and report back!
CFAC I think the only thing they say not to give before 1 (unless you have known allergies to anything else in the family) is honey. Yoghurt should be fine. I used to buy plain yoghurt and then mix with with pureed fruit myself (not the right time of year for it, but I used to look out for manky strawberries reduced at the end of the day - it didn't matter if I was just going to puree and freeze them) then you know there are no added extras iyswim.
Have you tried custard? I did the same thing with custard - made up custard from the powder without adding any sugar, then mixing with some pureed veg or mushed up banana.
Or they do pots of baby puddings, which are quite pricey, but worth it if they will get eaten. I figure it isn't very many months before you can get them onto eating the same as you, so if you have to spend a few months spending extra on bought baby puddings and stuff to get to that point then so be it.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Lol MFD your post made me chuckle
On Leaky nappies. If you are using a pampers/huggies night time nappy they can usually hold LOTS of wee so shouldn't leak overnight unless your boy produces about a pint or more! I would imagine the "dinky" is maybe pointing in the wrong direction or failing that I agree with Jen and it could be sweat.
DS2 wont touch baked beans ....annoys me loads as they are a cheap, easy, quick meal and being pregnant sometimes I'd just like to be able to take the easier option. Wish he wasn't quite so fussy is such a pain!!MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
Evening all
Nothing to report here except a cranky toddler and a successfully checked-off to do list. I'm very pleased with my progress today but now have epic cramps. I am planning to write my to do list for tomorrow before not doing anything even remotely requiring any exertion at all tonight.
Oooh, except I'm meeting a photographer tomorrow who is looking for people to give a free boudoir shoot to, only stipulation is it needs to be outdoor. I am Very Excited :jOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
