Had a chortle at your comment about ovetime - was having the exact same conversation with someone the other day who actually thought we got paid overtime :rotfl:.

Hope you managed to get everything done and enjoyed your Sunday!

Just in time to sit down and watch PS, I love you. Getting the tissues ready now.

Have had a nice day actually. Long walk this morning, 30 books marked, weekly shopping done (over budget...grrr....), dinner with in-laws, 30 more books and cars both fuelled (£110 - shocking!). No cross stitch again though - doh!

Oh well, Now to mentally prepare for Monday. xxx

    Xmas Saver!
Good luck for Monday, sounds like u at least got a bit of "me" time in. Without sounding daft Jan is always a black month for groceries, as you get everything before xmas, do a top up for new yr, then end of Jan - as well as the normal months groceries, technically your adding a week in from Dec.

Our Mr T has put his petrol up by 1p a litre, got to fill mine up, not looking forward to that!!

Assisgnment finished, 99% done by 3am this morning, just had references and the tidying up to do, that lasted 5 mins...... was not going to start reading it again.

School in the morning, to do one to one readings, then blood test, the samples they took for allergy testing, got contaniamented in the labs....thanks, I hate needles..... then the exicting part of the day!! (no I'm not mad!!) go and take photos of the disabled toilet in a local supermarket!! - I fell last yr on wet floor and fractured my knee cap, - so were in dispute, the solicitor said have you got photos of the wet floor........ No I don't take cameras into the toilet!! - and got to do a floor plan, it could be fun!!
    xx

Wow mum2one, sounds like a very busy day for you today! How did you get on with the needles? I'm not a fan either! :o Did you enjoy the reading? Sounds like a nice way to start the day.

I'm pleased with my Monday. I was a bit disappointed that the kids actually had to put work in their books after all my hard work in getting them up to date. Ha! I worked through lunch and straight after school and left at half 4. I normally stay until 6 so this was a big treat. I managed to walk the dog and mark some more books all before hubby came home. Then while he was making dinner I finished my last set of books. It is 7 o clock and my evening is free. :D

Lasagne being served now...yum! Leftovers for tomorrow's tea as he's working late and I never cook. ;)

No money stuff to report. Another NSD though so happy about that. There's a collection going around at work though and we've been asked to give generously as the teacher leaving has been at our school for 23 years. Any thoughts on this one?!?

Marked maths during lesson while walking round as I wanted to check how they were getting on so I only had to write comments, which I started at lunch. After school I marked PSHE which was a fairly generic comment as they'd all done the same thing. This evening I finished maths, followed by literacy which was grammar so again not too detailed. :-) Doesn't always work this way! :p

As for collection, I would normally always but a fiver but felt guilt tripped by the request for giving generously? She does PPA cover at the minute so she works in my class once a week and last year she was my year group partner for a term after mine left the school! Hmmm....

I would give what I can reasonably afford, and not feel obliged to give any more

Well done on all the marking and having your evening free. Getting a bit of work/life balance is one of my challenges at the moment :D

Without being cheeky, I'd say £5 as well, if everyone gave £5, they'd get a nice present for her.

Looked a right idiot in the toilet taking photos and measureing everywhere!!

Kids were brilliant this morning, managed to read with 8 of them, - quite pround and I changed some books for them. The one lad I had only reads at school, its heartbreaking in a way.

Got the blood test done, thou 1st arm we've got 6 pin pricks, the 2nd arm, got it on 4th attempt....... I'll be screaming if they do anything wrong with this.

Plan is next - get Febs prezzies wrapped, and Wed /Fri start new OU course, got 1st tutorial on Sat (help!)xx

    Hi de Hi! :D

    A good day today...

    1) Came home with NO marking. :j
    2) Phoned the student loans company about the letter that I had and it's official - they owe me money!! £533.82 to be precise. :j:j
    3) Paid £200 to inlaws which means I've now paid over £1000 on debt this year. :j:j:j

In a good mood. Can you tell? ;)
Hope all ok out there in the MSE world.

mum2one - What's your new OU course? xxx
