Good on you doing marking on a friday - i never get any done. Just got home and tried but came on here instead! Will try and mark at least 5 books though tonight which will be a start.
I never normally do it on a Friday either but discovered after last week that I like Sunday's being free!Enjoy your 5 books. I tend to be a bit OCD and have do complete an even number so I do 6 and then want to round it to 10 and then think I might as well do half and after 15 I'm back to where I was with 5.

Happy Friday!!
Have had a productive day and worked hard at school to try and bring as little work home as possible. Didn't bring none, but less than normal so not moaning.
My head seems to be in a bit of a whirl though as I'm trying to prioritise what needs doing and when so humour me as I write lots of lists. This is what I'm thinking:
Friday evening
[STRIKE]
1. Mark as many literacy books as possible (Have 30 stories to read and it can get a bit hardgoing!).
[/STRIKE] MANAGED 18/30.
2. Walk dog with hubby. HE WENT ON HIS OWN AS I WAS MARKING.
Saturday
[STRIKE]
8.15 - Drop hubby off for his running session.
8.30 - Meet friend and walk dogs for an hour ish.
10.00 - Pick up hubby.
10.30 - Arrive home and sort out resources for tutoring.
11 - 12 - Tutoring. If hubby could get food shop at this time that would also help!
12.30 - Pay cheque from pet insurance into bank (arrived today1 Yay!) Update spreadsheet and transfer any monies online as necessary.
1.30 - Visit friend with (late) christmas pressy.
[/STRIKE]
3.30 - Finish any marking not done Friday. ABOUT TO START NOW, HONEST.
5.30 - Head over to Worcester with my friend. Take money from tutoring to be spent on takeaway. (Last one for 100 days as have just added myself to no spend on takeaway in 100 days challenge!).
Sunday
1. Go to church (first time this year. oops!)
2. Visit parents.
3. Visit in laws.
4. SORT CAR INSURANCE
5. Start new cross stitch.
Think that might be it.Now it's organised in my head I should be able to cope. Ha! All fails though if I don't do any marking tonight. Ha!
Getting there.Hope everyone's having a good moneysaving day. xx

Very impressed with your list and with your marking. I may take a leaf out of your book and put my todo list on here to shame me into doing it!! (obviously after having done a few first to cross them off straight away!!):rotfl:NSD -5/20

Sazzle - the best to do lists start with: 1. Write a to do list. You get to cross it off instantly!
Well I've managed . . . EVERYTHING off my list! Oh except starting the cross stitch. But all the big stuff done. Including 4 hours with my folks today.
Am so relieved to have at last purchased new car insurance. It expires on the 29th and I was starting to panic that I wouldn't find a good deal. I've eventually gone with Tesco who came in £180 cheaper than my renewal quote and about £40 cheaper than any other quote I've had before. :j
I have, however, decided to buy it on my credit card as I have 0% interest on purchases. Plus as I'd budgeted £50 a month for my car insurance, if I pay that straight onto the credit card that's actually £10 a month more than I need to in order to cover the insurance so that will work on the rest of the debt!
Hubby is cooking pie so I'm going to eat, get cross stitch out and chill out!! Happy Sunday evening!! xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Haha, you read my mind about the todo list!!
I love cross stiching, find them and knitting very theraputic. I find it really difficult to just watch tv so need something else to do.
What's your cross stich of?NSD -5/20

I find it really difficult to just watch tv so need something else to do.
That's exactly why I bought it!I've not done one in years but tend to feel I should be doing something when the TV's on so will try to do more work or end up just sitting on the internet just wasting hours!
I seem to have picked a really difficult one though, I've been going for an hour and seem to only have done about 30 stitches. It should be a greyhound when it's done. I'm making it for the people who we rehomed our greyhound from. If it's a gift it'll make me keep at it. But I may be aiming for Christmas...

So, no diary from me yesterday as I was a poolie girl.
I spent the whole day throwing up and ached all over. Left school early and slept from 4 till 6 then had some toast and was back in bed by 9.
Felt 100% better today so was surprised to come home tonight and discover a small red rash on my waist. Literally, before my eyes, as I watched, it spread to my hips, thighs and bottom. I called NHS direct for it then to appear on my face, hands, arms and shoulders. Even in between my fingers!
I was quite impressed that they called me back within 20 minutes and told me to go to the walk in clinic at my local hospital. Luckily, this is only a 10 minute drive away! I walked in and was seen within 5 minutes which was great. The doctor took one look and said it was an allergic reaction and prescribed antihistamines. Wish I knew what had caused it though! ITCH!!!!!!
On the money side of things, would have been a NSD if it had not been for the above. However, quick turnaround with the doctor meant that we got free parking and then the chemist charged me for my prescription before realising I could get cheaper over the counter so saved me about £4 in refunding.
No marking done now though for 2 nights in a row, which means it all piles up! Not enough hours in the day and certainly no time to be ill...Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Ouch itchy rash!!! Don't worry about the marking, it can always get done at some point (even if that some point is Half term!!)NSD -5/20

I love payday! :j
Money in the bank...all ready to head straight back out again...
Have been paid early though, as we get paid early in December and then still a little early this month to help balance it out so most bills don't go out just yet. Need to get my head around it all and update my spreadsheet accordingly.
STILL no school work done though as decided I needed to not mope around being ill this evening and went to do a class at the gym. Am now home, showered and aching so have no energy to mark books! :cool:Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Unfortunately, both book sampling (next week) and parents evening (week after) come before half term so all my books need to be ready before then. I think I have a busy day on Saturday. I'm going to cancel tutoring so I can get back on track. Annoyed at myself as I was quite enjoying these marking free weekends, I guess I just haven't got into the swing of things this week.
I need to also revisit finances this weekend as early payday has confused me and cheque for photographer going out and cheque insurance coming in has left me all out of sorts.
Hate being the only one responsible for sorting money stuff! xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0
