Hi all,
Well Sadie is keeping me busy so haven't been able to update as often as I would like but as she's napping and today is pay day I've just had a look through all my finances and made a few payments.
Debt update is listed below:
Credit card payment - £225.00. Outstanding balance £329.63
Loan payment - £181.94. Outstanding balance £1,038.20
In laws payment - £50.00. Outstanding balance £2,450.00
I am so proud of what we have achieved this year in clearing debts and more than anything not increasing them when we moved house and got ready for baby's arrival. I'm hoping to start a new diary based on budgeting on maternity pay as well as finishing paying off debts and trying to save with the hope of moving out of our rented house and into a bought one. One day...

Right ... Christmas is drawing ever closer which means before we know it there will be a new year and new challenges coming along soon.
Although I've not managed to write in this diary every day, dipping in and out over the year has really helped to keep me focused on my debts and my signature shows what we've cleared so far!
I didn't manage £11,000 and I didn't clear all the debts before I was 30 or before baby came but I didn't increase them and have my beautiful daughter and a lovely home to live in (all be it, rented!). 2011 has been a good year and I'm looking forward to 2012 and the challenges it may face.
I'm going to start a new diary and focus on last debts, particularly as whilst on maternity leave I obviously won't be earning as much money as normal. Then when back to work baby needs to go to nursery which is a new expense to factor in. Sigh.
Thanks for the support of anyone who has read and commented this year, maybe you'll check in next time too.
Merry christmas and a happy new year. :rotfl:Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
You've done absolutely brilliantly, and you have an absolutely gorgeous daughter, as they say rome wasn't built in a day, but you didn't bury your head in the sand, you got on with it and attacked it from all sides. You've done brilliantly.
When you start your new diary, don't forget to put the link on this so, keep up with you. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
