Well yesterday turned into a really lovely day.

OH is away on a stag weekend so I was anxious I was going to be left bored and lonely. After my next experience I met a friend in the park to walk our dogs and ended up having an hours walk and a good catch up. I was shattered after but really enjoyed it.

Came home, did all my housework, had an hours nap, got showered and dressed and it was still only 1 o clock! Productive!

Then at 2 my sisters turned up with my niece to start setting up for a baby shower they were throwing me! One of my best friends arrived at 3 and then everyone started arriving from 4 and suddenly I had a house full. They'd organised games and prizes and food and more presents than I could ever have expected! :D I had a huuge box of presents off my mum, who unfortunately couldn't make it, and my sis. She had individually wrapped loads of packs of wipes, cotton wool, bottles of radox, infacol, mini toiletries for my hospital bag, pyjamas, condoms! Ha! Everything I could need.

They all even tidied up for me. Ah good friends. :rotfl:

Was very emotional when they left as it had been a long and tiring day but was nice, felt very loved as it's normally me that organises stuff like that for people.

And today all I need to do is wait for OH to come home. xx

Thanks mum2one, I felt like a very lucky girl. :D

OH got home from stag weekend safe and sound and after spending the weekend sober (in case I went into labour!) and herding 10 grown men around I think he's ready for fatherhood. Ha! We had a very lazy day sat on the sofa which we rarely treat ourselves too so we're doing well.

Got some pottering around the house today to do, sorting out and putting away all my presents but could again be a lazy day starting to count down for baby to arrive...

Well it's a good day ... I am now only one week away from my due date and it's pay day. :j Last one where I get a full months wages due to maternity pay kicking in from next month!

Due to annual pay increase I've also taken home an extra £125 this month which will help balance out a few bits of extra baby spending. Phew! Debts and bills don't go out until next couple of days so looking forward to yet another payment on debts and updating percentages.

Loving the beautiful sunshine so of to hang out yet more washing while I can and will catch up on other threads later. xxx

    Morning all!
Loving this sunshine. :jNothing makes you smilier. I am actually running out of things to wash though as have been working my way through everything in the nursery as the weather's been so nice! Ha!

Have made first debt payment of the month, £260.65 onto credit card. Which takes our balance to below £900 I think. Woohoo! Determined to keep plodding away and get rid of as much as poss before this year is out.

Am going to try and have a productive day today and may even start to write a christmas list so we can be organised before baby comes and takes over everything.

Scary thoughts in September really... ;)

Well baby is due tomorrow ... feels like Christmas eve ... if you had a sneaking suspicion that they were going to move Christmas!!

OH has just made his morning phone call to check I haven't gone into labour since he left for work! No change so far so can't see it happening any time soon. SIGH.

Just completed last finance spreadsheet update before baby comes so I know where I am. Not sure I'll have time to keep on track the same way I have been doing but I do want to try and keep an eye on things especially as maternity pay will really affect what we have and don't have.

Have paid loan and inlaws today which as always is satisfying.
£7,500 loan is now just over £1,200, Credit card has less than £1,000 and in laws still need £2,500 but that ones the easiest to tick away at.

If you don't hear from me for a while wish me luck with new baby! xx
(Though I may be on here moaning in a fortnight that there's been no movement. Ha!) xx
