That's really annoying about having to mark this weekend  You'll have to do something really fun on Sunday to make up for it!

    Right...marking plan for the day!

Maths x 30 x 3 pieces of work in each book.
Literacy x 30 x 2 pieces of work in each book.
Comprehension x 30 x 2 pieces of work in each book.
    PSHE x 30
    History x 30
    RE x 30

Don't judge me. :o My own fault though for letting it build up. I've literally done nothing this week. Hmpf!

Roxy's physiotherapist is here so as soon as she's gone then I'm getting started!! Honest...

Eight hours work on a Saturday, and still not finished... What would the overtime rate be on that for other jobs I wonder?

Also had a letter through the post today to say that I was owed a refund as I'd overpaid on my student loan. However, it didn't say how much for and has asked me to send in a document which will lsit my national insurance number, name, address, date of birth and bank details. No one on the end of a phone until Monday but it seems like a lot of data to send out into the world!

  • Oh crikey! Reading your diary is bringing me out in massive guilty feelings!!! I went to the dentist, went shopping and then had a nap! going to get some books now (or some coursework), got loads to do. You have such a variety of marking there, keeps it interesting??? (well probably not but hey I am trying here!) I do the 5, 6, 10, 15 (20) thing too! the games we play!

I'd be careful of that letter, sounds like a phishing one, could be wrong, but as you said ring them and see,

I wondered why I hadn't heard from your diary, but for some reason my subscribed threads went hyper and kicked off some added random ones.

I've gone mad I am now a school goveneror and go in one morning a week to help, 1st time last week, really nervous sat in the staff room felt like a naughty school kid, nearly stood up when the teacher came in!!

I'm doing 1 to 1 reading with the children that need the more help, and also see what their task is on the bookmark and try and prise the info out. I've got the last yr of ks1. Nice age!!

Hope ur feeling better after that rash, (mother hen moment sorry), but it might be worth keeping some anti-allergy tablets in the house, only say that as Nov last yr went into anaphylaxis shock, didn't know it was at the time - caused fun at our NHS walk in centre.. had 5 attacks since, only 1 beens bad enough to jab myself (that was scary), no idea what allergic to.

You take care and have a good rest 2mor and do something for you, I hold my hat off to anyone in the teaching profession.

If you were closer you come and write open uni assisgnment delights, health, fitness and liability....... xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

First payment made since payday! :D £230.61 on the credit card which means I've been able to update my signature at last. I hate the long weeks between paydays where you feel that you're not really doing much!

We're heading out in a bit to meet some friends and have a nice long walk in the park and then this afternoon we're at the inlaws for Sunday dinner as it's my father in laws birthday tomorrow. Should be a nice day. :p

Still have marking to finish but am going to try and just do a little at a time and plod through it. I'm hoping to get it all finished before this evening though as I've not picked up my cross stitch in a week.

mum2one - well done on the progress with your assignment, you'll get there! Just don't forget those toilet breaks! ;) Thanks for worrying about the rash - I've kept taking the antihistamines for the week to make sure whatever it was is out of my system. It was scary, I can't imagine having to get to epipen stage. eek!

buffy - hope all gone well following your trip to the dentist, don't let me make you feel guilty - I've only had that much marking because I've not worked hard enough through the week and with book sampling on Friday I was feeling the pressure for everything to be sorted.

Have a good Sunday all! xxxx

I know waht you mean, it seems ages between paydays and signature changes :( However, the PAD thing didn't work for me - I am too easily tempted if there is money sat in my account :o So I pay everything I can as soon as I get, such as I have paid the full £28 for February's £365 in 365 days money at the beginning of the month. I hate having to 'borrow' back from myself later in the month so taking it out of my account at the beginning of the month helps me control my spending better

I think different things work for different people and it takes a few attempts, trying different things to work out what is best for you :)
