Just nosying through your thread and very motivated by your debt efforts and your masses of school work. I am trying to get back on track with both and struggling through. It takes me far too long to mark books at the moment but mostly due to themhaving weeks worth of work in and masses of loose sheets which I get a bit OCD about

That sleep on the settee sounds like an ideal Sat afternoon activity, you can always blame it on the dinner!!

I treated dad to lunch as he drove to Birmingham, - thou must say when you've driven past this one car park 6 times, - does get "HELP"" moment..... luckly a bloke was walking up the road, stopped and asked him, we were 30 secs away.

Thou mgtmare with the car park charges £13.50...xx

    Morning all!

Thanks for all yesterday's comments, don't feel quite so guilty about my day now. :D

Meal was lovely, our contribution was £100!!! EEK! But everyone enjoyed themselves and had fun. Ended up being a later night than planned though and eventually crawled into bed at midnight, I am not a night owl! So feel very sluggish this morning but am being picked up for work in an hour.

twinmum07 - Welcome and thanks for checking in! There's a few teachers who comment on here and you'll see we're all in the same boat. Too many books and not enough hours in the day. :o

mum2one - Glad you're course went well and you had a nice lunch. Shame about the parking, though I'm not surprised. I live ten minutes outside of Birmingham so next time come and park at mine and I'll drop you in!!

Have a good Sunday all. xxxxx

Well absolutely none of the school work I'd planned to do has been done. NONE! Oops! :o

So, still need to plan literacy for the week including my lesson obs, mark writing assessments and prepare for parents evening. I'm going to prioritise and just get planning done. Well that's the aim. :p

I do however have an extra £40 in my purse from working today and got a free lunch as my friend bought food for me as a thank you for working for him.

    xx

Sounds like a ngtmare all this extra you have to do, I go in on a Mon and read with the kids - got last yr of KS1, - the targets are individual to each kid, but they don't bring the book marks, and for the some of the children they don't read at home, maybe for a 1001 reasons, but as a goveneror, your their as a link for them, but I sat in with the class for 1hr, there was me thinking, didn't do till I was 10 or 11.
I hold my hat to anyone in the teaching profession. x

So...I check my online bank statements every day. Sometimes more than once for good measure. But even though I've spent nothing and paid no bills or debts I'm still disappointed not to see some kind of change each time! :o It's nice that I'm not spending but it would be nice to think it was changing for the good! Ha!

    Anyway...

Another day at school for me, same as always! Felt really tired after working yesterday so am home already to get comfy on the sofa with the laptop to do parents evening notes. Am only teaching half a day tomorrow as I have PPA release and half a day on Wednesday as I have release for my curriculum responsibilities. Am hoping to shuffle my time around a bit to use those to sort out parents evening and observation.

Has been a NSD for me and cash still in purse from work yesterday. Have also had tesco statement come through and they messed up a transfer I did in December so I have £19 of vouchers. Yay! What to do with them eh...?

Well no diary yesterday as had the craziest of crazy days.

    Mostly because...
    :jI FOUND OUT I'M PREGNANT!!!!!:j
Wasn't going to say anything, but then this is my diary so where else do you share big news? ;)

I was a week late so took the test in the morning and it was positive. My head is still in the clouds with it all, I don't know how I taught anything yesterday. :D

Went to tell all our parents last night, which was interesting in itself as there were many strange reactions, from disbelief "You're not, you can't be" (MIL) to lectures "Maybe this will be the kick up the a**e you need to move out of that flat" (Step-mum) and screaming (Mum).

Got no school work done - obviously! But now that means I'm still not ready for parents evening (tomorrow) or my lesson observation (also tomorrow).

Might mean a few priorities need changing... but for now I need to catch up on school work...
