    Xmas Saver!
Sounds like schools all round weren't a gd day, I had my 1st governerors meeting 2day very grim!

As the last meeting was 2 1/2hrs left the car keys, with his lordship - the meeting took 35mins!! so I went and reant with one of the classes.

    Glad its half term.

Thou I did put the cat among the pigeions, I asked for 5 days off authoried leave for dd, - were away 2weeks but tie it week school wk of holiday - as were having the bathroom ripped out, new ceining floors, elecrtricity, no water, no elec - tried to get alternative accomodation as we;ve been told the amount fo work 2 weeks.
Nightmare - coz of familt situ, need to be together and have the dog, priced travelodge, (sods law the two near us hadn't got offers on £60 a room, I think it worked out at £1680 (thats without food), - its not a case of we fancy a new bathroom, as both mum and I are disabled we've got to have a carears shower, walls knocked down, toilet moved.

So for 8 days we basically would have no water, no electricity, no gas, no toilet or facilities - you can't exactly turn up on families door step with the suitcases, 3 adults, child + dog.....the welfare officer felt it wasn't acceptable circumstances. The job being done by a charity, in conjunction with social services, occupational therapist and the team that have to do the work, they originally wanted it 2 weeks before xmas - put our foot down, and the furthest they could push was tieing in with hol. Yet the welfare officer said its not a strong enough excuse........ so a 2 page letter - the steam was coming off the keyboard, a I will take this further, - what a surprise, the Head said can't anything been done - doh we've tried, was going to ask the head if we could all move in with him, but didn't too as he's over turned the verdict. Doh why not do it in the 1st place.

Sorry for hyjacking your thread, just school rant xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

mum2one - hijack away! That's sounds terrible! What a horrible drama. So what's the plan now then? If he's letting her have the time are you going away? Hope all works out for the best in the end!

My dramas unfolded last night (not at school for a change!), hence my grrrrr....

Called home to have a chat and a catch up as haven't had the energy to pop into folks all week. Chatted to step mum for over an hour before she then told me that my dad had moved out on Monday!! Apparently he's been living up in Crewe (where he works, he normally commutes) and they didn't want to worry me in pregnancy by letting me know!

Mum has had to kick him out after discovering for the 3rd time in 6 years he's got into secret debts. Am so angry at him for being so stupid and for the lies, she's forgiven so much already, I really think he has a problem. I haven't been over there today but just had a text from my 14 yr old sister who says he came home earlier and they've gone to the bank. Whatever that may mean. :(

I'm really worried and fear that this may be the final straw for them after nearly 20 years of marriage and I worry I've made things worse already by telling mum things he's said and done since last time getting into debt. I just wanted everything in the open for a change. These are the problems that debt can cause!

I don't know if he's addicted to spending or lying or both and I'm really worried about him. He's my dad so I love him and want what's right for them all but worry he's going to blame me (easy excuse!) for making things worse and will be mad with me so am avoiding getting in touch!

I don't know if any of that even makes sense but I've got it out of my system at least.

Other than that, things are normal my end. I've had a lovely long walk in the park in the rain with my friend (who got the less abridged version of the above rant) and have done tutoring for the first time in weeks so a nice bit of money for the pot.

Off to see mum (birth not step) so can discuss medical history of family ready for midwife appointment tomorrow.

Have a lovely Saturday all. Thanks for listening/reading! :D

Thanks guys. Advice not needed, it's just nice to be able to rant and know someone out there is listening.

Have calmed down over it all today. Spoke to mum and it seems dad is coming home today. They went together to the bank yesterday and as usual they'll do nothing of any help. And then they asked her to rate their customer service! And as if all that isn't enough, tomorrow she's going to meet with my sister for the first time in 3 and a half years. Fingers crossed it goes well and maybe I get to have my sister back in my life. These things all come at once...

Midwife appointment went fine, she asked family medical history stuff but couldn't do much else as she doesn't actually come under the hospital I want. Need to phone the docs tomorrow and try and get a referral. But as there's no school I can at least do that. :D

Hope everyone has had a safe and happy weekend.

    Lou xx

Well it seems I spend so much time reading other peoples diaries I forgot to post on my own yesterday!

Nothing major to report from me. Jobs for today are:

    Tidy bedroom
Cull clothes! Work out what can be carbooted/charity shop to make some space.
Call docs to get referral to hospital for scan.
Visit my friend with wedding album and pregnancy news.
    Marking - 30 x literacy books.

No money news as just waiting for payday. Still have money left in my account which is unusual at this time of the month but I'm getting my hair cut on Thursday and am out for a friends birthday meal on Saturday so probably won't have much after that!

Dad is back home but I've still heard nothing from him so we'll see how that all develops...

Hope everyone ok. Thanks for the recent support! xx

Ok so it took me two days but the clothes have at last been culled!

Did nothing yesterday as was my last day home alone but with OH here today I managed to pull my finger out and do the bedroom. I have a whole black bag of shoes, clothes and bags ready for car boot season, a black bag of junk and a make up bag full of toiletries and unused make up ready to pass onto my 14 year old sister! However, the house is in that 'have to make more mess before getting tidy' stage and it's doing OH's head in as he's a bit of a clean freak. He does not like tidying though and would rather just hide everything and then vacuum around it! Ha!

Didn't see my friend yesterday as she's been ill and didn't do marking either so lots still to do. Always tomorrow....

For now I need to write some letters...my car insurance company from last year have automatically renewed my policy even though I purchased other insurance and are now chasing me for money! Grrrr...

Woops! 4 days without posting...! I'm still here, honest! :o

Mostly I've been quiet because whenever I log on I read everyone else's diaries first and find that the scrolling screen makes me feel nauseous and I can't bring myself to type my own!

Well half term is officially over and I'm not that enthralled about heading back to work when I'm still feeling constantly tired! We went out for a meal for a friend's birthday last night and I stayed up till midnight!!! I have however had to have a 2 hour nap this afternoon to recover. :(

Has been a fairly quiet few days otherwise as we've just been doing jobs in the house. Bathroom painted, new lino fitted, new carpet fitted on stairs and landing, blitz of junk in the house, valuation ready to consider sale/ rental ready to move somewhere bigger and I think that's it. :)

At the end of another month (already!!) I can report I have paid a total of £1517.44 off debt so far this year and in February made overpayments of £230.61. :D Mostly helped by my refund from my student loan. This month I have been paid an additional £176.38 after some 1-1 tuition I did at school last term so am hoping to make more overpayments this month too. I had £50 left in my spending account when I got paid so this has gone into my emergency savings fund as I'm expecting to need to spend some money on my car pretty soon (new tyre mostly).

Main aim for March is to really decide how to attack debts and save for baby all at once. Wish me luck...
