Happy st Georges day (opps a bit late), we all have those months where the overdraft gets a bashing, but ok it happend,, but look at it this way, if you had gone to Ibiza clubbing for 2 weeks then that would be naughty, but it sounds likes its been essentials, and your already looking at getting it sorted, maybe pre-lighbulb moment, the money would have been spent and not thought about.
You should be entitled to th depoist back, if they get funny, just remind them you didn't break the contract therefore your the "injured party" xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Ah thanks mum2one, that makes me feel better!
You're definitely right that there would have been a time when I didn't even think about these things and in fact in true 'diet' mentality would think "Oh well if it's that bad I might as well make it worse!"
On the plus side we did a car boot today and although I was up at 6am and am sunburnt all down one side of my body we earnt £100 and cleared out some tat (I mean quality hosuehold items!)!!
Back to school tomorrow and still no work done as been a pretty dramatic weekend - will divulge more later when I can talk without stressing.
Hope all ok. xxxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Thats a brilliant sum from the carboot sale, opps to the sunburn, if its sore get AQUEOUS cream from the chemist, it was what the nurse recommended for my sunburn. Its like a moisturing cream, but excellent value.
Good luck back at school, I'm back in the morning for the reading session, then delights of dentist Wed, - back to getting head down with the OU. I hate assisgnments....xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Well first day back at work and I've definitely missed my afternoon nap!
Ha! So sad the lovely holiday routines you get in to! Still it's only a short week as today was training and we're obviously off Friday.
OH is at college tonight so might be naughty and have a little power snooze now. However, we have a viewing booked on the flat for Thursday so I really should go and do some housework.
The flat it has to be said is in a pretty sorry state after a week of preparing for car boots and packing boxes for when we eventually move out. I think now that I know we're leaving I don't care as much so the flat is being looked after even less!
Desperately waiting for pay day now as car spends etc and the impact on my overdraft has thoroughly depressed me and I feel the need to get back on track with a little less spending this coming month!

Evening all,
I hope you've all been gripped by wedding fever and have been enjoying the hours of coverage on the TV. I've been at the hospital for blood tests today so missed the majority of the good bits but have at least been able to see the dress!
Things have been a bit manic lately as my folks decided last weekend to seperate. This has led to an anxious week with many tears and frantic phone calls but I think they may now be trying to give it another go!?! It's been quite exhausting but quite eye opening too as so many of the issues have been around lies and money and it just shows me how much I don't want to be in that place! There really has just been so much gone on that I can't get my head around it all though my main concern has been for my 14 year old half sister who is stuck in the middle.
As for us, we had yet another no show on a viewing for the flat which was more than a little frustrating as the agent had really built this one up and we had got our hopes up more than a little. On the plus side, the viewing was meant to be last night so all the housework has been done leaving a free bank holiday weekend!
The visit to the hospital today was a bit frustrating as we were there for a total of 4 hours (a lovely £4.10 parking bill!) after finding out I had to be referred to a specialist and have loads of blood tests. Ergh! Trying not to worry about it all but google can bring terror into the life of a pregnant woman!!
Anyway, that's an update on me! Although I have been paid debt payments won't go out until Tuesday so can't do monthly update until then. I suspect car spends will affect how well we can do but at least it's all in the right direction and apart from the overdraft we haven't added to the debts in any way.
Have a lovely weekend all! A long waffle from me today! Ha! Off to find something good on the telly for a night on the sofa.....Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Hope everything works out for your parents, and your half sister ok, maybe everything has come to a head and it was a bit of a shocker.
Thats hospitals, as your pregnant i'm sure they think you can sit around all day, and that your really enjoying the rest!!
U take care, sorry about the viewing, tell your estate agent Miss Hoodie (DD), will come and kick him up he rear. Shouldn't laugh at her, we were estrangled from her grandparents on her fathers side, they get back in contact last yr, so cause all the presents etc new - presents and 50 euros for xmas, in her easter card was 20 euros, - approaching the do u want to meet them, deep in thought she pipes up, if I meet them will they give my any euros, thats the only reason I'm saying hello to them!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi Loumac,
Just catching up on your diary here, I'm sorry to hear about your parents - hope your OK.
I was thinking today how much I hated being pregnant and at least I was pregnant in the winter - I think this heat would have killed me!

You brought back some memories, I was pregnant with DD over the summer, and in the jul gone on hol to Tunisia, (prebooked bf found out I was expecting her) there was me 27weeks gone waddling around in 40C being the only English person that was on soft drinks on an all inclusive holiday.
Thou must say the advantage was that I could wear this so comfy pr of sandals, - my feet had swollen, and all that fitted was pr of dads leather flip flop/slippers, come rain or shine I had to wear them. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Thanks mum2one and booboo!
So far benefits of being pregnant through the summer:
1) Maxi dresses!
2) Paddling pools.
3) As a teacher I will at least get much of the time when I'm big and fat and bothered off work.
4) Wrapping baby up cosy when winter comes.
In other news, we had a last minute viewing booked on the flat yesterday afternoon and he wants it!! :jHe's calling the agent on Tuesday so fingers crossed we may be making progress.
Haven't spoken to my folks all weekend, trying to give them some space and give myself some time off from it all. Who knows where they're at eh! It's strange making that transition from child to the one doing the worrying! xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Thats absolutely brilliant news about the flat, would say crack open the champagne!! but guess thats on ice!
Def agree with maxi dresses, and paddling pools, - can't wait for dd to get hers up thou sure the dog want to have a paddle as well. Def make the most of the school holidays, have you worked out yet when u start maternity leave?
So funny ealier with the dog, he normally stands still in the hall while he's got his lead on - not today, I'm upstairs in the bathroom, next minute the doors opening, he wonders in looks at me, then goes in and sits under the shower..... we had the toilet and bathroom knocked into one and made into wet room, last week dad showered him, he loved it... sure he wanted me to shower him, he was not amused at being shouted back for walkies.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
