    evening everybody

looks like a lot of busy people on here today

maybemischief sounds like you have caught whateverry one else has - the flu! You need to be a bit selfish - and stay home - you should NOT be spreading your germs - the masks are not that effective and if it gives you a rash then you cant wear it (((hugs)))

hellyboo thats sad about your DH's employer going under and him being owed that money - is there any chance of getting it?
Mumto5 are you sure you are fit to work with your hand? You dont want to make it worse! if you cant manage at home then IMHO you are not fit to work. As for the mess then turn a blind eye - rest is more important - and start shouting more from the sofa - hide the clean cups until they bring all the dirties and wash them - ask them to sort out what they desperately need in the way of uniform - get DH to put up the ironing board - if he wont do the ironing then b supervise the children doing it - they need to learn to help you and not just when your hand is sore. (((hugs)))) SOmething nice to look forward to - are you going to combine it with a holiday?

you lovely Mums all do far too much for your kiddlies - easy seen I am not a MUm:rotfl:- I would probably do the same - but I do remember having to do chores from when I was 7 because i joined the brownies and had to do them for various badges and to earn my pocket money - no chores no money!

hmmmm....... and you call that flying:rotfl: its probably the one that does the washing to help the mouse that does the ironing!:p:D

em586 you better be taking it easy and not getting tooo worn out or sore - and have you packed your bag:rotfl: I will keep checking!!!

Mooloo glad to hear you have moved - Happy New Year in your happy new home:T:T:T:T I hope you will be very happy there and will settle in quickly - just deal with one box at a time - bit like dot2dot - you will soon have it under control.

seafarer's wife there is not much I can add that hasnt already been said by the lovely wise people on here - i would echo them and say keep a low profile - maybe you frightened him a bit by looking at the houses? I hope you get the answer you want when he replies - keep your chin up - remember men are not known for thinking things through always and some are not the best at putting down on paper (or a screen) exactly what they mean - they know what it means but we are meant to figure out the missing bits (((hugs)))

Valli (((hugs))) as sockdrawer says write down what it is and see if it still looks petty - given all the problems on here with rellies do you want to get to know all of his - seriously honey is it the issue or is there something that is a deeper problem - as Dusty said you have had a good time and he has treated you well - maybe it is time to move on if thats what you really want but dont be reading things into the situation just because he's 'different' regarding family and friends from what you are like IYSWIM.

G&B awh I am sorry I missed yesterday - belated Happy Birthday to DD - hope it was a lovely day - lots of love:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake: :bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake: :bdaycake:

juliejim belated Happy Birthday to your DD - hope it was a lovely day - lots of love:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:

wow Triker thats another fab cake - you really should give up your job and sell them:cool::rotfl:

had an ok day - had all morning to get washed and dressed - couldnt face a shower at 8.30 with a carer. my friend the Rev'd A visited in the afternoon - gave me communion and we had a lovely long catch up.
I have done some reading and shredding.
My DB, DSiL and kids are all coming to see me tomorrow late morning - he thought they would be better to wear me out early on so I could chill for the rest of the day:eek::rotfl: at least that will clear a corner of the LR of all the presents!

still feeling pretty rubbish but at least i have managed to be up most of today.

love and hugs to everyone especially the poorlies and LadyL xx

;) LOL my bag is actually mostly packed! Need to organise it a bit more and throw some last bits in, but I've been good so far! Baby's bag hasn't been started yet, I'm washing the neutral stuff at the moment and will pack in the next week or so. Not due til March and this is number 3 so I'm a bit more relaxed about it! :)
  • Hello I would like to join please.

I have read all through and feel motivated to try flying with you :)

Today I have done the following:
    Level one:
Hoovered and washed kitchen and hall floors
Cleared every work surface in the kitchen and cleaned

    Level two:
Wiped window ledges and shined taps

    Level three:
Sorted out diaries and got them up together

Whilst doing this I have recycled 3 bags of carp
    Walked the dog twice
Cooked lunch and dinner (all the while my DH was sat on his ar** - watching television.

I am now quite kn***ered :) Hope I can get on top of things.

    Does it get easier?????

Back after a long lovely walk in the Peaks - great day out.

    Whereabouts did you go?

I am having one of my Golden Year events on Friday...I am going to my friends and we are having other friends over for a curry night (because I have never cooked curries 'from scratch') and I am looking forward to it.
