Hello.
I've just skimmed through.
Seafarerswife big ((hug)), I am sure you must be going through turmoil at the moment.
I prepare to be slayed here but,
Are babies not made through love, commitment and passion? I am not an organised person and find the meticolous planning of a baby a little unsettling. I know this is not going to help in the slightest but for him to have things so planned out in my book is a little scary?!
I am creeping off now0 -
I've just k-nackered meself out doing Wii just dance with DD - I'm soooooooooo unfit
Seafarer - I can add nothing of any use but completely agree with everyone else. DH and I very rarely communicate by email as whatever we have said to each other gets taken the wrong way by the other iyswim. stay calm and do nothing yet - he may have started to think about what he wrote especially after your emails to him, its so hard - huge hugs for you and I hope he comes to his senses PDQ - if not do as Pigpen says!!
Flying - changed our bed, de-flea'd 2 kiddies, bout to make tea.

Seafarer - I've said nothing since I read you post a while back because I wanted to think rather than write a few rude words. Unfortunately, I am still of a mind to write a few choice rude words on your behalf so I'll say nowt but will send you enormous hugs, chocolate and wine xxxxI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Seafarer...just wanted to add, if you read it from my position (as a wife and working mother) you'd see just how ridiculous the email sounded, like a 12 year old child talking about a fantasy family life, complete with job, dream house and savings in the bank would be like.
Apologies if this comes across as rude but your OH doesn't have a clue.
Forget the house, the job, the money....I can tell you that once I had my baby, there was nothing but nothing on this planet that would have parted me from her from the minute she was born, not for all the tea in china, wealth, dream house what have you....your intended has yet to realise the power of the maternal and paternal bond.

You go GandB, I thought I was good with wash load number 3 but I haven't done any ironing!!! I too want to try and keep up with the housework...LR not lookin too bad. Kitchen and spare room are works in progress. Will try and have a decluttering session in there after work to morrow.
(Was hoping the snow would keep coming so they would cancel it....no such luck though)
Feeling stuffed now after a load of popcorn and a cheese toasty......may do a bit of Ironing later.......0 -
Triker I love your post above. xx
Ok, so whose smart idea was the cleaning of the pan cupboard???? Not that I mind really, but I was like a wee set of dominos. Once that part of the cupboard was cleaned (1950's units, so they all run into one another) I had to go on to the next part..... then the next part..... then the next part.....:rotfl: Now got happy cupboards, and am thinking about 50s style lining paper.... I wonder why!!!Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -

So first we need to find out when you are legible for maternity leave.
Then i would suggest you get pregnant and we move out of the rented house for at least 1.5 years.
You can move back home in this time, i know you wont like this and i dont either, but then we will be saving alot of money and i can pay off the loan and the car near enough straight away, then i can save for 1.5 years. This will mean that we should have a good 40k in the bank. Our stuff will go into storage, which we have already looked at the price for.
I could even go to college within this time, i have enough months racked up now, so tax shouldnt be a problem. As the college course is only 6 months in duration as well.
In the mean time you can be at your parents looking after the baby. I guess this is where it gets awkward but still do able and this is when you need to go back to work for 3 months i am thinking you can stay at my grandparents for 3 months while your mum looks after the baby and you can go up every weekend if required, 3 months is only 90 days.
If we do this then i really do think that we would be able to get the required money and also have no debt so we can readily move into a house that we want to move into and by then house prices should be reasonable again as well.
I know you dont like this idea but i really do think this will save us 10 years of agrevation
I have been lurking so far but feel like I need to say something to the email now Seafarers_wife. OMG what planet does he live on? I think he has too much time to think when he is away working! Especially the bit that I have highlighted! I am lost for words! I mean what does "if required" mean???? Does he think a child is a posession and you can just go to see it when you fancy? I would seriously think hard whether to have children with him if that is his attitude.
Flying wise - I cleaned the kitchen surfaces. I thought they were clean but when I tried to move my ceramic chicken I couldn't! It was stuck to the top! I can't think what has spilled there. Oh well, all cleaned up now.
Flying will start in earnest tomorrow when DD is back at school.
Oh and thanks to the usual suspects for the thread! Hugs to all that need it!0 -
Hello Gotno
Nice avatar!!
Just baked a cake with DD - plain sponge 1, I want to put jam in the middle and DD wants it with nothing - thinking of cutting it in half so we both get what we want, also done Jelly with DS
S&S the kitchen now and then some ironing whilst trying to decide what I want for tea
