Sashybo - Stray thoughts amongst the wilderness of debt

Okay, had a mostly lazy afternoon yesterday and couldn't face going out in the ever-changing weather.

Went out this morning to get a few bits - got food for work as will be on late shifts from tomorrow and got some ties for OH for his interview later in the week. Got two as were reduced and not sure if he will like one of them. Also spent a bit on toiletries but shouldn't need anything else for a while.
Haven't done my work out yet - but will be doing it soon. Also going swimming with OH tonight so that should burn some fat (I hope).
Got the quarterly factor bill through today but as we have been saving £50 per month towards the factor fees we can pay it and not use the O/D or panic about where the money is coming from. :j
OH got a big payment from Quidco due to cashback for switching our internet provider so is using some of it to buy a Tassimo and is putting the rest in the savings towards a holiday/weekend break. :T Really should make him pay it off his cc but as it's nearly gone will give him a break.
Have ordered the last Harry Potter book from Greenmetropolis since I've seen the film and think the book must be better. Got a nearly new hardback copy for £4.75 which I think is quite bargainous.

Did actually make myself do my workout yesterday afternoon and then did about 15 mins of my Pilates DVD afterwards. :j Was totally knackered but still went swimming with OH after he finished work - only for half an hour but was still happy that we made the effort to go.
Back to work today after two weeks annual leave so a bit depressing, hoping for a calm shift but doubt it.
Am having a rest day from exercise as am feeling very achey today but will be back on it tomorrow. Trying to limit myself to checking my weight once a week and trying to cut down on the junk I'm eating. My main problem is a sweet tooth so trying to cut down on biscuits etc - I don't need one with every cup of tea! Also trying to cut portion sizes as have been tending to eat big plates just because OH does.
Little nephew started school yesterday and was all excited.
He thinks he's very grown up but is still very tiny - his sisters are coming up for three and are nearly the same height as him.

Well, only did 20 mins of Pilates this morning but it's better than nothing. Still a bit achey from Tuesday's exercise.
First day back at work was tiring and my head wasn't in work mode either so was a bit slow on the uptake at times.
Need to get back into my routine.
Reached payout yesterday on Survey Network (£20) and cashed in - it arrived in my Paypal account today. :T Also cashed in £27 from Springboard surveys today. :j Will save the money until I've decided whether to save it or pay it off some of the debt.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. 20 mins of Blast Off Belly Fat this morning (lovely title
), still feeling achey from the last few days exercise. Will probably give myself the weekend off.
Work was fine last night but still 5 more late shifts to go and I'm already struggling.
Made some rice this morning for lunches and am going to have it with mixed veg and maybe some chicken shredded through it. Trying to eat healthier lunches atm as usually eat pasta or something with cheese.
Am already feeling a bit impatient with doing exercise and trying to lose weight - I want results NOW! :rotfl: After 5 days, hmm. :rotfl:
Ordered a box set of Audrey Hepburn films as have never seen any and one of my friends loves her. It was only £12 for 6 films so not too much money if I don't like them.
Also, my Harry Potter order was cancelled because the seller had lost the book in a house move. Okay, I placed another order with a different seller - who also cancelled it! No reason even given this time. So, third time lucky and this seller is selling books on behalf of a cat charity which is quite appropriate as I have three of the little gits.
Hoping it doesn't get cancelled.... Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £10,345, Car loan CC 0% BT £4900. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Been busy working over the weekend, still got two more late shifts to go then can have two lovely days off. Feeling very tired and grumpy now.
Did a 30 min cardio workout with the PS3 exercise disc this morning and was seriously sweaty and knackered by the end of it.
Will probably do that again tomorrow and then Pilates for the rest of the week. Planning on going swimming again on Wednesday or Thursday night. Trying my hardest not to get bored and give up again.
In good news my Harry Potter book was finally dispatched - it was third time lucky. :j
Should really get a move on and get some ironing done before work but it's not looking likely to be honest.
Our Tassimo arrived on Saturday and it makes nice coffees and hot chocolates - have only had one each day so am limiting myself. :A
Our neurotic cat has taken a liking to the cardboard box the Tassimo came in and has taken to just sitting in it for hours at a time. :rotfl:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Hey Sashybo!
I would say good to see you again but that would imply that I'd been really good in updating my diary and being generally moneysavingy!.
So here's to "getting back on it"
Don't worry about the supermarket horror - once happened to me when i worked at a certain pet store (all my uniform was passed onto second hand and did not fit). Bloke asked me to pass him somethign then apologised as I shouldn't be lifting in my condition...then said oh sorry SON think I need to get my glasses checked.
Not only did I lose weight but I also grew my hair
Well done on all the exercise you've done so far, aparently once you've done it a certain amount of time it becomes a habit. I must remember to find out how many!!NSD -5/20

Hi sazzle. :hello:
:rotfl::rotfl::eek: at your pet shop story. :rotfl: :rotfl: Was talking about the lady in the supermarket at work and we were wondering why she didn't know the unspoken rule: never ask a woman if she's pregnant unless it's very very obvious that's she's pregnant and not just put on a bit of weight! :rotfl: Even my OH knows that!
I think I would have to exercise a million times before it became a habit.
My shifts can be a problem as well as one week I'm on lates and the next I'm on earlies and it can be quite tiring. Excuses, excuses....
Did another 30 mins exercise on the PS3 this morning, then had a shower, cleaned the bathroom and put on a washing. Still need to do the ironing that I didn't do yesterday.
Last late shift at work today and then two days off. :j
Just got a £10 Amazon voucher from one of the panels I'm on so we have £20 of Amazon vouchers saved towards our next treat - possibly a new alarm clock with DAB radio and an iphone dock for OH. We are still using the alarm clock I brought with me when I moved out of my mum's house and in with OH. That would be the alarm clock I've had since I was about 15 then...:rotfl:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Having a lazy day and still in pyjamas - woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a truck.
That's what working seven days in a row plus exercising does to me.
Having a rest day from exercise today as planning on some Blast Off Belly Fat tomorrow plus going swimming with OH after our dentist appointment.
Good news is I did the ironing yesterday so can afford to be lazy today. Have been doing surveys though, so not completely wasting time.
OH got through to the next stage of the interview for the job he really wants. :j Hoping he gets it as he would be over the moon about it.
OH also gets paid tomorrow and we still have money in the bank. :T Am frankly amazed as we have been a bit too spendy this month.
On the weight front I don't think I've lost any weight but feeling a bit better just by exercising and think I might be starting to change shape a bit. Probably just wishful thinking but if it keeps me exercising it's worth it.

I've been very lazy today.
Folded some towels that were dry to put away and my boy cat came promptly along and plonked his fat backside on top of them. He also likes to sit on top of anything I'm reading if it's on his arm of the couch (yes he's claimed one arm of the couch as his seat) and bite the corners of books if they're in his way i.e. stopping him pushing on to my knee.
Just sat and watched Breakfast at Tiffany's (with the cats) which I quite enjoyed, although "Moon River" was really getting on my nerves by the end of the film. :rotfl:
Going to jump out to get cat litter and a pizza for dinner once OH gets home. We're going for a make your own pizza at Asda since they're much cheaper than Dominos and taste nicer as well. Just need to avoid the dessert section. :eek:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £10,345, Car loan CC 0% BT £4900. Okay, woke up feeling rough and also TOTM, so no Blast Off Belly Fat for me this morning. Still want to go swimming later though, hoping to do it after dentist's appointment this evening.
Think my mum is coming round for a bit and we might have a wander into town. Need to buy something for my nephew's birthday next week and possibly something for OH's friend and wife who had another baby recently.
Avoided the dessert section at the supermarket last night. :j But let OH buy a Blu-ray he wanted because it was only £9 and he gets paid today. It's the same Blu-ray I stopped him from buying from Amazon the other week at £15 so a decent price difference.
Just had to rescue my neurotic cat from being beaten up by my boy cat - he likes to chase her round the room and she wails like he's trying to murder her. :rotfl:
OH's friend is cutting my hair on Sunday as well. :jSuccess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £10,345, Car loan CC 0% BT £4900. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0
