Flat Eric - sorry to hear you're self sabotaging at the mo - been there done it and got the XL t'shirt! may I just ask you to think carefully about leaving and re-joining? it strikes me that in doing so you could just be sabotaging yourself further. Strikes me that you'd be missing out on the help and support of group just when you need it the most. It must feel frustrating to be paying that fiver a week when you have had it for free for being at target - but I'm concerned that if you don't go you're more likely to drift and have a a longer period of time (and more lbs) away from target than you could do if you carried on going to class. I've been there and got that t-shirt, too, and its an even bigger one.
:kisses3:
Have a dodgy group hug: :grouphug:

......... bet my t-shirt is bigger than yours tho0 -

I'm looking for a chicken curry recipe (preferably syn free). Do you use the one with loads of different spices or is there a simpler way? I've done the lamb dhansak and that is OK but I fancy something a bit fruitier.
They were talking about that recipe at class tonight. Why not just use (or buy) a jar of madras curry powder, or bhoona or something. NOT A MIX. Just the powdered spices. If you look on the ingredients it will say something like chilli, cumin, coriander, ginger ... etc., choose one that has spices you like, or choose one that has approximately the 20 or so spices mentioned in the recipe. Honestly, it's just spices, so it is free. You can add a bit extra of something another time so all your meals don't taste the same. It's the cheapest way to get a mix of spices at the start - ready mixed!
Now, I cannot read through the 20 or so pages you've written over the past couple of nights, but I did spot a bit of toilet talk, so I am going to tell you quietly what I've bought myself for my birthday.
a colonic irrigation :rotfl: A girl at work had one yesterday and loved it. If "loved it" is the phrase I'm looking for. Anyway, I'm giving it a bash next week.
:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Well, well now the air has cleared would anybody like to sympathise, encourage or inspire me. I gained 1.5 lbs this week and 3.5 lbs the week before and am feeling sorry for myself.:(
To be honest, if I wasn't going to SW with a friend I don't think I'd bother going back for a while.
Let's all give you a resounding group round of applause anyway, huh? :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T *claps loudly*
I'd prefer it if the debates and discussions were taken over to Discussion Time on this forum, rather than disturbing the usual banter/support posts, but that's just my opinion. Glad it's business as usual.
I'm just going to list my food plan for today, as I'm just about to go off up to bed.
Today was my 1st Original/Red day (woo, go me!):
B - banana
L - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans [HEB]
D - SW quiche (OMG nom or what!?) incl. vlf cottage cheese with onions/chives, onions, peppers, bacon, mushrooms & on a thin base of potato (2 syns), cheese topping [HEA] served with lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes. Salad cream (1 syn)
Snacks - strawberry 1% yogurt (3.5 syns), Fibre+ bar [HEB]
Milk [HEA]
The quiche was blimmin lush, so I'll be having much more of that tomorrow *drools at the thought*.
I did 1hr on the Wii dance fitness, and I was dripping with sweat it was such hard work. If you want a workout to get you gasping for breath, and moving about loads, then I thoroughly recommend it. I have to say that the Wii calorie burning estimates are incredibly generous mind you... over 300 cals in 1 hour? I think not. I don't burn that in a 1.5hr workout in the gym, which is fairly intense. You'd need to be doing olympic rowing for that (proud of doing 2000m rowing at level 8 in 10 mins yesterday though :j )
Night all, and have a great Wednesday tomorrow. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -

I noticed earlier, and now cant find it, a question about what to do with some chicked breasts.
I had planned a chicken stirfry tonight, but this morning before going to work I had the bright idea of popping the chicken into the slow cooker with some water and a stock cube. How lovely to come home to that lovely smell instead of raw cold chicken : )
Anyway, it was a little overcooked, though very very tasty, I had two left over and I cut them up very very small, finely chopped some onion, grated some carrot and fried them before adding the chicken. (I put half of it at this stage into a box for freezing). I added boiling water, a chicken stock cube and a handfull of rice. I now have a pan of beautiful homemade chicken rice soup, free on EE, and I must say its delish.Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
