trixietoes wrote: »Hello everyone, back to check in with you all. Just had to catch up on loads of pages since this morning so have all been busy.
Well... had lunch at the shopping centre at about 3pm but was as good as I could be and went to the saladbox at the food court... walked straight past BK, KFC, Maccy D's and Subway "polishes halo". I had a chicken and bacon salad with water.
The Chicken Paprikash in the slow cooker.... mmmm as a 1st attempt it was goodish (tastewise)....but.... I put too much liquid in so I had to drain it all and reduce and thicken the sauce then pop in the sour cream.
SO eaten today...
B - nothing had to go to work
L - Chicken bacon salad with caesar dressing (guestimate 5 syns)
D - Chicken Paprikash (3) steamed veggies (F)
Snx - 1 bread (0.5cheese (0.5 A)
planned to eat..... Banana & grapes (F) granola (4) yoghurt (2)
Looks like I had a red day....but I don't seem to have had enough A & B.... I think I'll have to dodge that for today.
2nd attempt at slow cooking.... there is a veggie soup in there at the moment to cook overnight ready for OH's lunch tomorrow and I'll scoff some for breakfast/very early lunch as I won't get to eat until 3pm again... must remember to pack a sarnie tomorrow.
have a good evening everyone xx
Do you have a recipe (or link to one) for the chicken paprikash? I LOVE paprika, especially the smoked one!0 -
Your kind words are appreciated and I still find it bizarre that people take offense to mere words on a forum from a stranger, but I think it's best if I try and do things how they are done here - this thread was around for a long time before I was!
although i already know you're a man-(damn you men for losing weight faster than us women) i can only speculate at your age,i find that as you get older you lose the tact and diplomacy that you once treasured in your early 20's,so be careful oldie and if you see me messing up PM me,any advise would be truly welcomed, unless i feel that you're talking out of your a$se then i'll say,cos i'm that old :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
You have to have a treat after WI it's the law
I often have a fish finger sandwich after WI, I use wholemeal bread but it still tastes naughty!

Well, well now the air has cleared would anybody like to sympathise, encourage or inspire me. I gained 1.5 lbs this week and 3.5 lbs the week before and am feeling sorry for myself.:(
To be honest, if I wasn't going to SW with a friend I don't think I'd bother going back for a while.
My earlier post gives details.
Here's my EE day
Brekkie - 1 oz cereal with skimmed milk and a banana. (Incs A &
Lunch 2 slices grilled bacon, 1 egg fried in fry lite. 2 x Ryvita with scrape of Flora Pro-Activ. (Counted as syns) Few grapes.
Dinner. Lambs Liver & Onion (Cooked SW way) with potatoes and peas. Dessert - Raspberries (from freezer) with Meringue Nest (counted as syns).
Soory to hear you've had gains. Just a few comments on your meal plan that may help change that!!! Basically, you haven't had enough super frees, only a few graped at lunch and onions and raspberries at dinner (peas are not superfree). Atleast a third of what you eat needs to be superfree on EE. Also, did you trim all fat from the bacon? Even a small amount of fat on the bacon can add quite a few syns. Did you use anything to thicken the gravy with your liver and onions? If so, that would need synning. WHat do you drink? It may be that you're having xtra syns in drinks without realising.
Hope that helps x0 -

D- 100% Meat beef burgers
Peppers and Onions
Corn on the cob
Frozen Raspberries
Skinny cow ice-cream (4 syns) (I'm counting them as 4 as nobody replied to my earlier post about how many they would beI'm guessing thats about right though!
Snacks and Drinks- Clementine, 2 cups fruit tea, 3x can D.coke (yes I know i have a problem :P)
4 big glasses of water
350ml Skimmed milk- HeA
Does that sound ok??? really hope I lose some weight this week. I'm really paranoid that I'm not going to for some reason and its making me abit panicy!
Are your burgers homemade with extra lean mince? If not they are likely to contain syns.0 -

Morning,
Just a quick catch up because I haven't been able to read the vast amount of pages that have sprung up since yesterday(only have 15 minutes breaktime!)
Well done to all the losers, to those struggling - i'm with you on this! But we can all do it, it just might take a bit longer to get to goal than other but we'll get there.
Green day today...
B - apple, yogurt (may have to think of something more substantial than this)
L - pasta bake
T - quorn burritos (6) mexican rice
S - crisps (4) fruit salad, satsumas, milk in tea (0.5 HEA)
I think i need to start measuring a few things - i only have two cups of tea a day but they are quite milky and I have no idea how much actual milk i have, i just guesstimate its about right.. need to re-read my books i think!
Have a lovely day all, hope its a bit more of a peaceful one x:)Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

I spend £160-£200 per month on shopping for 2 of us, that includes all toiletries, cleaning products etc. Without knowing what you buy its difficult to advis e where you can cut down but just a couple of suggestions from your menu above:
I personally never buy strawberries out of season unless they are heavilly whoopsied!! Apart from being a total rip off they're also nothing like as nice as in season ones!!
Are you buying fresh peppers for your pasta? I buy a bag of frozen peppers to use in anything wher they are cooked. Mr M has them for £1 a bag but I assume other supermarkets will have them too.
My list always has the words 'fruit', ''veg' and 'salad' and I don't plan exactly what I'm going to buy in each of those categories, I wait till I get there and see whats on offer, although I do list anything specific that I need for recipes.0
