Could anyone give me an alternative to butter please. I usually have a slice of wholemeal toast with poached egg for breakfast but need something different to butter so that I am not using my syns. Don't know if this is possible.

i used to always have butter or flora with egg on toast, sometimes still do, but i have found that if you cook the egg so the yolk is still soft you can pierce it when it's on the toast and let the runny yolk soak into the toast, making it nice and soft and you hardly notice the lack of butter/marge.

If you want to remove some of the temptation, why don't you portion up the yorkie and put it in little bags then put the remaining bags in freezer. It'll take ages to eat when frozen! :rotfl:

    I wouldn't put money on it!!! ;)

Thanks. I do think that the occasional 'blowout' is a good diea - it's makes your metabolism sit up and take notice after weeks of the same kind of food.
In the 1 class I went to the girl with the biggest loss had eaten an indian takeaway that week.

I am definately going to allow myself a flexi day every couple of months (especially for things like valentines day and easter) and wil be interested to see what the impact is each time.

I think flexidays are also good to remind you that with SW you can go out and 'enjoy that special evening' and get straight back on plan the next day with no guilty feelings about having blown the diet or anything:)

I went to MrT's at about 9 o'clock last night and saved a fortune with yellow stickered stuff - carrots down to 19p (carrots for crying out loud! it takes them months to go 'off'!!), big juicy vine toms for 20p, sweet red peppers reduced to 30p, twinpack of salad for 30p - stuff I wouldn't usually buy due to the high prices. Yellow stickered bread went straight in the freezer.
Also I can highly reccomend Aldi or Lidl for fruit and veg - good quality and much lower prices than normal supermarkets.

Sorry again for spoiling the thread a bit yesterday. I think I was a bit on edge partly due to embarrassment, it's not nice to not be able to afford things - this is the MSE website after all! :money: But this week's fiver went on a shedload of reduced fruit and veg which is going to enable me to have a very happy SW week!!

Hope we can all get back to normal again. :)

Lost 2lb since last weds - despite my birthday weekend blowout. SW is fab! :D

whoopsied fruit & veggies make a huge difference to a tight budget dont they :p
No apologies necessary hun ;) and massive well dones on the loss:T:T

Just had my first bowlful of the Dyno-rod soup! Was quite nice but I think I might add a bit of chilli - I like that wee kick to my soup lol. It was really filling though - good stuff.:)

Feeling really hungry today :( Well, not hungry really, it's just the temptation to comfort eat more than anything. I'm being good though - might go and have a banana and muller - will be so full feeling by then that I will probably not be able to look at food until dinner time! For dinner I think I will try the SW spag bol recipe for the whole family, will see whatveg I can add in to it to help with the superfree foods.

    Have a good day!:D

don't say sorry for speaking how you feel sweet, its good to express yourself, especially if others have a different opinion,it keeps the world going around and the stress from 'knitting' up your shoulders, the only thing that upsets me is folk that say "per se" grrrr!!!! that could make an easy going woman want to draw blood!!!! :D:D:D

i did say i was off to work didn't i? der! now i really have to get motivated and my skates on!!

stop being interesting!!! ;) just post the stuff you're going to get down your gob for the day,i don't feel the need to comment on that :rotfl:

Happy to report that the Yorkie is still in the fridge .................... at the moment. :)

Really pleased that I've managed two 100% days now, starting to feel a little more confident of getting back into 'THE ZONE'.
Also I've heard that the temporary consultant at my group ( I stopped going because we just didn't click, although I'm sure he's a lovely chap and really knows his stuff) is not going to be doing it for much longer. So that gives me the option of returning to group if I do struggle to 'go it alone' I do miss the camaraderie (sp) of the group.
