hello everyone
I have 35-45lbs to lose and start tomorrow on SW. I'm doing it on my own though cos I dont have the money to spend on classes. Got all the books on a CD from ebay so know what i can/cant have. There was a 'kickstart ur diet' 7 day meal plan thing included which I'm going to follow for the next week and want to lose ideally 3-4lbs since its my first week.
Well done everyone on this weeks losses, youve all done fab
Hello
Well done on taking the plunge and deciding to start SWStick around on here and if you get stuck there will always be someone who can help you out
Most people find it helpful to post their daily meals on here too....that way if you are making any mistakes early on - its easy to spotand it also keeps us all on track seeing our daily intake written down! lol

PHEW! What a day! I'm glad things have calmed down no.
Reporting in from day 2. Yesterday was day 1 and completely choccie free and I as well chuffed with myself. Today, so far so good BUT hubby has just bought me a yorkie bar which i've now put in the fridge as it kept talking to me from the coffee table. Jeez it's got a gob on it........ I can still hear it, I will resist, I will resist.
Thought I'd share my meals for today (ought to point out I'm trying to be really strict this Week so that I get a great 1st week loss as I'll need that to motivate me)
Breakkie - Yogurt/Apple/banana/plum
Lunch -HM veggie soup. quavers (4syns). 3 pagan krisprolls (HEB)
Dinner - couscous/chicken chunks/cherry tomatoes/spring onions
HEA- milk for drinks
AND THERE IS A YORKIE IN MY FRIDGE  or did I already mention that?:rotfl:When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -
I'm still in shock that you can eat so much and still lose
I joined WW beofre christmas and didn't get on with it at all! I did lose a little weight but it was a real hard slog and hated pointing everything. Much easier to know what you can and really shouldn't have.

poohbear59 wrote: »I am back as I have a question, of course:) I have planned to make Lasagne for the men tonight but I don't eat wheat. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts of a lasagne made with ryvita between the layers? I had also thought of making a wheat free pancake from chick pea flour but that would be too many syns......I usually use courgette slices but am out of courgettes. Or any other ideas gratefully received.
Thank you
Glad you had a yummy lasagne with potato slices. I was thinking about it and i thought maybe carrot would do a good job of a lasagne substitute - done into think strips with eithe a mandolin or peeler maybe?lavidaloca wrote: »Could anyone give me an alternative to butter please. I usually have a slice of wholemeal toast with poached egg for breakfast but need something different to butter so that I am not using my syns. Don't know if this is possible.- Quark
- Butter buds from lakeland taste like butter and I think are 0.5 syns each. See lakeland website.
- I like it with just marmite on, especially if I'm having something wet like soup or a runny egg with it
- Some of the triangles of cheese are very low in syns each
Then I was ordered back to bed anyway because I got dizzy and nearly fell over whilst stood doing nowt with my crutches! Took some of my seriously strong painkillers meant for my ankle, plus some toast and "ahem" butter and peanut butter (the only thing I could stomach the thought of), zoned out for another 4 hours and now feel better  because of the painkillers I also took a fairly hefty dose of the bowel medicine, and a side-effect of that is wind
I couldn't imagine doing MrsM's step aerobics right now, its bad enough sitting still :rotfl: Dinner was fine for SW, with mince and gravy and potatoes/veg.
Did a few bits of maintenance on parents' 'puter, and re-discocvered the recipe for SW magic cake (made with chickpeas) and SW lemon curd. Whilst this is an abuse of free food it is very nice, so happy to post if anyone wants it.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0
