Well.....today is looking green for me!

    Breakfast
    2x weetabix (HEB)
    Milk (HEA)
    Light sugar (2.5 syns)

    Lunch
    Low fat supernoodles

    Dinner
    Cod - steamed (HEB)
    Potatoes
    Carrots
    Broccoli
    Mushrooms

Might have a little chocolate as a treat.
  • Could anyone give me an alternative to butter please. I usually have a slice of wholemeal toast with poached egg for breakfast but need something different to butter so that I am not using my syns. Don't know if this is possible.

If you like Ketchup you could try spreading a bit of that. I find it's just enough to take the dryness off.

I use clover lighter which is 1syn per teaspoon.
I think flora extra light is 1/2syn per teaspoon.
  • Evening all

Another busy day for me, more lugging stuff round the office, and I decided to go to gym after work too!

    Green day for me:

B - oats (HEB), FF yog
    L - mexican lasagne (HEA)
D - 2 x jacket spuds, cheese (HEA and HEB), LF coleslaw (3.5syns)
Snacks - clementine, HB egg, banana, jelly (0.5syns), LF creme fraiche (1.5syns)
Drinks - coffee, fizzy water, NAS squash, diet coke can x 2, water
Exercise - 4 hours lugging boxes (again!!), 45mins at gym

    Total syns = 5.5

Still have some syns left so may squeeze in something else later, but I have very little yummy stuff here so not sure what it will be!

I'm watching last night's Biggest Loser. My weight at start of this year was the same as the first black twin's (I lost 14lbs last year to get to this weight) so it will be interesting to see how she does

    Well done losers

Flying visit - been a bit mad on here today - hope all is well now.
I like the support here, and the debate when it is friendly. I feel there is no need to disrespect people - we are all here for one and the same reason.

Betty - if you are looking for recipe books they have a good selection at Costco (if you can get in - check friends if you are not a member yourself). They are all half price and seemed to have the latest Italian one.
They have some 2011 food directories on ebay at the moment and Amazon had the 2010, so it should be on there soon.
You could always sneak into the next class, buy the books you need, then dash out again! I'm sure the consultant would be glad of the sales!

Poohbear - have you tried thinly slicing aubergines as mock lasagne sheets? It works in a veggie one and I think it would be quite nice!

Am dashing off now to choir practice (something me and OH started last year to 'do something together'.... We love it!

  • Hello everyone, back to check in with you all. Just had to catch up on loads of pages since this morning so have all been busy.

Well... had lunch at the shopping centre at about 3pm but was as good as I could be and went to the saladbox at the food court... walked straight past BK, KFC, Maccy D's and Subway "polishes halo". I had a chicken and bacon salad with water.

The Chicken Paprikash in the slow cooker.... mmmm as a 1st attempt it was goodish (tastewise)....but.... I put too much liquid in so I had to drain it all and reduce and thicken the sauce then pop in the sour cream.

    SO eaten today...
B - nothing had to go to work
L - Chicken bacon salad with caesar dressing (guestimate 5 syns)
    D - Chicken Paprikash (3) steamed veggies (F)
    Snx - 1 bread (0.5 B) cheese (0.5 A)

planned to eat..... Banana & grapes (F) granola (4) yoghurt (2)

Looks like I had a red day....but I don't seem to have had enough A & B.... I think I'll have to dodge that for today.

2nd attempt at slow cooking.... there is a veggie soup in there at the moment to cook overnight ready for OH's lunch tomorrow and I'll scoff some for breakfast/very early lunch as I won't get to eat until 3pm again... must remember to pack a sarnie tomorrow.

have a good evening everyone xx
