On that note, I think it might be best for people if I leave this thread for a while. It's clear that a lot of what I say here isn't welcome. Although I've tried, I just can't be Haribo about every single thing - there are some things that need to be questioned or openly debated but that doesn't seem to be the point of the thread. It's a great thread but I don't think it's right for me and if my absence helps others lose weight and hit their goals then I've done the right thing.
Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Wow - I'd point out the 'over dramaticism' of this post but think you might actually explode. The post I have quoted is completely rude and very easy to be taken out of context, and disregards any advice I have tried to give out or anyone that may have taken something useful from my posts, and I would thank you not to sweep all that to one side just because you disagree with someone you've never met.

With that said, we are not all put here to have the same opinion as eachother. You've said you couldn't care less about my opinion so what are you here for, everyone to agree with you? This is a forum - every single post is one of opinion.

I disagree with you and you disagree with me, you have every right to and not once have I said that I don't think you are justified in your reasoning for not liking the group you went to. If my group was like that, I wouldn't attend either and you are completely within your rights to not want to go again. I don't agree with it but I'm offering that as my opinion - I just explained why I think you should go again and not disregard it so easily, but if you don't want to that's your call, I've even said that I respect your decision to lose weight and get fitter, which I do. I will help to support you, as I will try to do for any other poster here, but if I disagree with something or have advice or recommendations for them I'm going to say them - for that is the whole point of a forum.

You think that was me trying to 'polish my Halo' or to make sure that the 'sun is still shining out of my a$$'? Without going into how mature of you that is, it is also completely wrong. I'm not here to make others feel better or to make myself look good, I'm here to get advice, give advice and have a healthy discussion and/or debate about what we are all doing. Some members choose to fly off the handle as soon as something they believe in is questioned, whereas others respond more appropriately and give reasoning and then respectfully agree to disagree.

You are free to leave or stay as you please of course, but I hope you stay. If you aren't going to go to groups this thread is a vital source of support for you, as it is for myself and everyone else in here. I am genuinely sorry that you have taken offense to something I have posted, even if I am clueless as to what it could possibly be. My opinions are just that - my own opinion. If you have a personal problem with me for some reason, feel free to add me to your ignore list - I would rather you do that instead of sacrifice the value of this thread even if I think you're going over the top by doing so.

This is actually more than a forum....Its a support site for those of us following slimming world, and as such I really do have to say that that post to Betty was not very supportive at all :( I cringed at how rude and abrasive you came accross in it......hardly what this site is all about.
Its just NOT how we do things here - Sorry but it had to be said as some of your posts do tend to come accross this way in general.

thanks for the support girls, I really value your opinions ;)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to sausage casserole for dinner tonight - yum yum! low syn I reckon cos apparently the bloke who makes tham at my local butchers is really fussy (and famous in these parts!) only uses good quality low fat pork. will get the scales out though cos they are massive so need to weigh them to work out how many syns!

I havent had a good sausage in ages (sounds a bit rude that):rotfl::rotfl:

now who's being over dramatic?? ;)

Look, you leaving won't help you, or anyone else, lose weight.
But I think you should bear in mind that the point of the thread is really to support, not debate. Especially not to debate or argue when the topic is people's feelings.
