Afternoon All
Big massive well dones to all you losers :T:T
Keep up the good work
On the subject of water consumption.....I know weve had this debate before a a while ago, Im another who doesn't think 2 litres is too much (especially as its being drunk throughout the day...its not a vast amount) its only harmful if you drink large volumes in a short space of time, which has already been said.
The meds Im on for the seizures I HAVE to drink at least 6 pints of water a day to prevent kidney stones....and thats under medical advise-and I dont think my docs would tell me to do something dangerous
Anyways.....
EE again for me (think Im getting my head back around things again)
B bacon 2 Xtoms 1 slice wm bread (large loaf) HEB milk HEA
L boiled egg, ainsley chilli cous cous, toms, cucumber, lettuce, onion, mullerlight
T liver & Onion, baked potato, nobbies:p carrots, broccoli, corn
syns 2 flour (for gravy) 4.5 penguin wafer
Oooooh forgot to say BLACKBERRY I felt a bit peckish last night so got a strawberry muller out of the fridge....but it was right at the back, and was touching the wall - anyhoooo, when I opened it - it was part frozen .....OMG verrrrrry yummy!!!:p;) I will now be part freezing my mullers in future :T0 -
Very fed up. Put on 1.5 lbs this week and 2.5 lbs the week before.
This is with EE. The only week I lost was the first week I think.
I will admit to not filling in my food diary last week but I never eat sweets, cakes, biscuits and stuff like that. So my syns go on things like a cappucino or options sachet, a couple of Seed/Oat Ryvita etc. Nothing too terrible.
I also did loads of brisk walking last week and STILL I gain.
I've even gone off staying to Image Therapy because TBH it bores the pants off me.Having to listen to so many people talking about their losses/gains drives me mad. This time around I'm just not getting it. I wish they'd just pick, say, 6 people's names out of a hat and do them and then get on to some interesting stuff.

first session tonight. I suppose it will all become clearer then but to be honest I cant seem to get my heard around green days, red days and extra easy days, superfoods, free foods, healthy extras etc, my head is spinning with all these names and values. Hoping its all easier than it sounds :-)0

With respect, I still think you're being over dramatic.
How is it over dramatic not to want to waste £5 and an hour and a half of my life?? I dont have the time or money and I can cope fine with the resources I have now so no need to go back for 1 non-essential book.
There is very little, if any, respect in your posts, actually.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

good luck at your first class! It will seem confusing at first but read all the literature and soon it will be second nature!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

I hate my scales, though i'd cheat and get an idea of how i was doing and my scales showed a 9lb loss since last week! But weighed myself on one of those proper machines in boots and it showed a 2lb gain
so really not looking forward to weigh in on thursday.

I would reccomend deciding when and where you are going to weigh yourself (at class, at home, in boots) and doing it once a week and no more. Scales differ from place to place and your weight will fluctuate during the day, so it's not going to do you any good (mentally/morale-wise) to keep checking here and there.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

I have respect for anyone wanting to better themselves and lose weight/get fitter - and don't expect to be judged on a forum whereby you cannot tell my frame of mind and certainly cannot construe any level of respect from a post. I declared it was with respect and it was, you're trying to lose fat and I respect that.
Let me level it to you - you went in a week where it was busy and the usual consultant wasn't there. That's not the fault of the group. If you find that others aren't chatty, be the role model - speak up and let people know of your experience. If you don't like the group at all, try to find another local one and give that a crack. I don't think you've given it a fair shot, and it seems as though you're now giving up at the first hurdle. You're happy to buy the book when the recipes can be found for free online, but not happy to pay £5 for a meeting that may just be the fine line between losing and gaining weight.
You mention the £5 per week as a waste - but I bet before Slimming World you were happy to squander much more than £5 on unhealthy food/alcohol/junk that has led you to the point of wanting to lose the fat that your eating habits made you gain. No smoke without fire and all that. I'm not a fan of commenting on what time you have available to you but 2 hours per week shouldn't be too hard to find. Most of us will watch that much TV in the evening...
You seem to have a bad attitude towards the fact that I disagree with you - I hate happy clappy nonsense but the group and more specifically the people there make a huge difference to me. If it doesn't for you then absolutely fair play and do it however you would like to do it, but at least give it a fair crack of the whip!Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Sorry, I should have said that I don't sense any respect in your posts, whether you intend it or not. You dont seem to be able to respect my decision or the reasons behind it though. In general, I think telling me that i am being 'over dramatic' and 'giving up' is very disrespectful.
Let me level it to you - you went in a week where it was busy and the usual consultant wasn't there. That's not the fault of the group. I know, I said this already. I took this into consideration.
If you find that others aren't chatty, be the role model - speak up and let people know of your experience. I did speak up, I tried to chat, I am not a wallflower.
If you don't like the group at all, try to find another local one and give that a crack. I dont think I will. I didn't like it, I dont feel the need to go again.
I don't think you've given it a fair shot, and it seems as though you're now giving up at the first hurdle.
I'm not giving up at all - but I am saving myself some cash and time. My evenings are precious to me. I think I can decide for myself whether I want to go or not. I am still going to stick to the plan 100% and I shall not give up. But i will do it without class.
You're happy to buy the book when the recipes can be found for free online, I dont want a recipe book, i wanted the food (syns) directory for when my online PIN stops working. But I have already said I can cope without it.
but not happy to pay £5 for a meeting that may just be the fine line between losing and gaining weight.
Going to a meeting will not help me lose weight. I know that. I have never felt less inspired than in that room yesterday. It was a miserable experience for me. Please respect that.
You mention the £5 per week as a waste - but I bet before Slimming World you were happy to squander much more than £5 on unhealthy food/alcohol/junk that has led you to the point of wanting to lose the fat that your eating habits made you gain.
Yes I used to buy 'junk', but I dont now. I also have limited income and I would rather spend my £5 on fruit and veg every week.
I consider it a 'waste' to spend £5 to sit in that room though.
No smoke without fire and all that. I'm not a fan of commenting on what time you have available to you but 2 hours per week shouldn't be too hard to find. Most of us will watch that much TV in the evening...
Again, my time, like my money, is limited. I would like to spend it cooking healthy meals from scratch, spending time with my OH, exercising, watching my favourite shows (why shouldn't I??!) and relaxing after a hard day's work. I dont know why I have to justify this to you... I felt the group was a wate of my time - no one else's, mind, just mine. others might love it, but it was not for me.
You seem to have a bad attitude towards the fact that I disagree with you I just dont understand why you think you have the right to tell me what I 'should' be doing with my time and money and whether I have 'given up' or not. It's just plain rude.
I hate happy clappy nonsense but the group and more specifically the people there make a huge difference to me.
good for you, seriously, i am not knocking groups in general. if it works then great. but it just made me miserable, bored and uninspired.
If it doesn't for you then absolutely fair play and do it however you would like to do it, but at least give it a fair crack of the whip!
It's not for me. I gave it what I consider a fair go. It works for some, not others.
I dont know why you are taking this so personally and keep bringing it up.
I honestly hated every minute of it -that's how i feel - I dont know why you'd push me to go again knowing that.
I am not going to 'give up' or 'fail' without going to class. It made me feel WORSE not better. and I really dont see why I have to justify this any further.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
