    :j:j:j You go girlie :T:T:T

Im on day 4 on the waggon......been a good girl so far too :A the only choccie that has passed my lips has been a daily synned for kitkat 5.5 :D

Its been hard work going back to basics and 'thinking' about things again tho :o still - it will be worth it eh ;)

Tell me about it!!!! Part of me is feeling angelic and positive about 'sorting myself out' part of me is angry with myself for letting things get to this stage ( I had vowed that I'd never allow myself over the thresh hold of mumble mumble stones again, but I hit that then added another half stone for good measure) and I'm also feeling daunted at the prospect of everything I want to achieve. Hey ho no-one to blame but myself and no-one else can do it but me .........hmmm just thought do those fairies that force people to eat naughty food still hang around these parts? lol.

Well done you BTW sounds as though you've got yourself back on track kitkat and all. I've discovered that once I get the taste of chocolate I can't stop so 'cold turkey' is the way I'm going to go, I simply can't be trusted with the stuff.

Can anyone give me any suggestions for family meals for chicken breast fillets and also for mince (apart from spag bol and chilli)? I have no inspiration and need to do a shop this afternoon with a view to cooking at least one of these things tonight. I might try chicken curry tonight, but can't think of anything else :(

What I do with chicken breasts are to smear with djion mustard or Philly light with garlic and herbs and then wrap round with either Parma ham or bacon, seal with foil and cook for 20 mins and then open foil and cook for further 8-10 mins. I serve with either couscous or sw chips and veg.

    Mince:
HM burgers, beef kebabs, cottage pie, lasagne, some sort of meatloaf, meatballs.

I did the chicken cacciatore that was in the magazine a couple of copies ago. That was syn free and very nice. You could adapt any recipe. And HM burgers are good. I've had SW pork ones with sage but you could again adapt a recipe for beef.

I'm looking for a chicken curry recipe (preferably syn free). Do you use the one with loads of different spices or is there a simpler way? I've done the lamb dhansak and that is OK but I fancy something a bit fruitier.

Ooooh, that sounds lovely, Primmer, thanks. I'll add the mustard to my shopping this afternoon. :)

Thanks, Dontknowanymore :) I hadn't thought about parma ham either...hmmmmm, I feel a stuffed chicken dish coming on lol. Thanks for all the suggestions. My plan is to get a good range of staple recipes I can cook for us all and maybe do a once a week 'cook' so I can freeze things and so won't be tempted by anything I shouldn't.
