Evening all, hell of a day again :( felt ok when went to bed last night but woke up this morning to more tum pain which has lasted all day. Tum very tender which is a prob when surrounded by kids who like to hug. Struggled to eat as pain affects appetite. Then had after school training til 6.30 :(. All in all a very painful day.

    So food today:
    B - weetabix milk [a] coffee
L - mugshot, toms, melon, activia, 2x sponge finger [2] [took some effort to eat this]
T - goulash [.5] with added veg [carrot, sprouts, broccolli, cabbage, onion, peas], rice, b/sauce [1] need to alter quantites next time as didn't put enough herbs/spices in for size of slowcook so didn't taste of much hence the b/sauce .
Snack - pineapple, melon, onken, meringue [3]
    Syns - 6.5

Hope tomorrows a better day :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    :)OKAY, I AM A BELIEVER!!

Had my first WI tonight and I was delighted to have lost 4lbs! Then they noticed the scales weren't set properly and I had actually lost 5lbs! woot woot!

Amazing - I never would have thought eating so much would be good for you. :rotfl:

I met some really friendly folk at the meeting too, which was lovely. It's always nice to get that bit of extra support, swap meal ideas etc.

    Happy bunny :)

    Thank you! :)
  •:eek: Cor blimey Mrs!!! you dont do stuff by halfs do you

sounds flipping nasty :( Hope things are a bit better for you at the mo?

Yes thanks they are going much better at the mo. I've even mostly stopped whinging on here about hor frustrating living back with your parents is! :D

mmmmm getting on and off scales on crutches is a fine art hun;).......I had the home ones confiscated as I was a liability trying to use them whilst home alone:o

:rotfl: I can well believe that. My parents' ones are the old-fashioend type, and i thought I'd jump on them and break the spring or something :o i'm just banned from attempting stairs (the not on my bottom way) at the moment, since I fell and nearly took the banister out at a friend's place 2 weeks ago :o

In fact....doing most things on crutches is a fine art :rotfl:tho its much better than on a zimmer LMAO

Christ I am glad I've not been offered a zimmer. Though I did think about asking for one when I tried crutching first time out of hospital in the snow and ice :o

As for the old smiley-toilet14.gif situation....... Meds are the pits aint they

I do recommend regular servings of guacamole twice a day for 4 wks......but there is a really nasty side effect - 11 lbs gain :o:D

:rotfl: Yes well, hem... least said soonest mended. I couldn't wait to be able to cook some dyno soup :rotfl:

Its really good that you've kept yourself focussed & coming on here while you've been out of action tho....I had a big weight gain after my last op with not being able to get to class.....and basically comfort eating if im honest :o Even if you manage a maintain it will be a big achievement ! ;) x x

thanks Dizzy that means a lot. As I say, my ex-housemate piled on the stones when she did hers, and she started off even bigger than me. When she did hers we'd both just started a diet, and she immediately ditched the diet and turned to comfort eating. I saw how much doing that put back her physical progress, and so when mine happened I vowed strongly that I wouldn't put on due to these circumstances. It helps that we had a MASSIVE falling out in between times, so if 'm honest there's a lot of "I'm sooo going to handle this better than she ever did, silly cow" in me :o Still, whatever gets results... ;)

My mum is supportive and has also done slimming world, so she cooks meals which are vaguely slimming world shaped, even if she does miss out the odd important detail - today I found that she hadn't cut the rind off the bacon before adding it to the risotto, so was fishing out little bits of bacon rind :o but that has helped tons, because as you can imagine I've been reliant on others a lot... which is VERY hard to get used to, isn't it?

  • been up trying to get an essay started...was peckish so had a mug shot noodle hot sweet and sour it was lovely. I hope it doesnt mess things up for tomorrows weigh in eating late at night..

OOH thanks. I'll record it on itv2 tomorrow then because not only is Glee on at 9 tonight and the biggest loser, but hell's kitchen USA which is one of my fave programmes ever - so that's a clash of 3 things at 9pm tonight

Well I've just got back from my first SW 'fat club' and have to say i'm sorry but I hated ever minute of it.

I know that it's busy cos it's Jan, and cos of the Bella vouchers, and also I have to start by saying it wasn't the usual consultant apparently it was a sub cos she was ill.
    However, it was truly dire.

At the new joiners table the consultant explained the plans really badly, hardly went into any detail about Healthy Extras, what you can have etc. Only talked about EE but didn't explain what superfree is so everyone was saying potato was free veg, etc.

Also offered no 'tips' - just read out how many syns is in chocolate and crisps to shock you, didn't offer ideas for low syn treats or anything. I tried being chatty and everyone just sat there with faces like smacked bums!

Then they went round the group and it was just 'you lost 1lb, how was your week' then everyone clapped and it went on for ages. And they did a raffle. There were loads of bits where people were just chatting among themselves and it was just a bit boring to be honest.

It was a bit of a shambles with people coming and going and talking in the background.

Their scales weighed me at 4lb more than I weighed at home this afternoon but I'm just going to ignore it cos i know where i am with my scales and I am never EVER going back!!!
They made me sign a membership form, but PLEASE someone confirm that I dont have to go back!!!!!!

Although I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it, you picked the busiest meeting of the entire year, didn't have the usual consultant, and were then surprised by it not being as good as it should be! I would say you haven't given it a fair chance, at least see what it is like once the numbers drop a little and the proper consultant is back in place.

And I would recommend going by what the SW scales say - not just ignoring them because they said you were heavier than you thought you were.

If we all gave up after one attempt, none of us would ever ride a bike, drive a car, or get into a relationship.
Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.
