    Hiya folks

Me again with tomorrows menu. I have finished me antibiotics so its time to return to work.

One of the reasons for swapping from low carb to SW is to have more variety for lunch. You can get very sick of of cold meat and salad every day.

    Red Day

    Breakfast

    Scrambled egg and mushrooms

    Lunch

    2 slices of wholemeal bread - 5
    Butter - 2
    Cooked meat
    Salad
    FF Yoghurt - 1.5
    Melon and grapes

    Dinner

Steak, Mushrooms and either green beans or salad or both.

    Snacks
    2 Alpen light bars HEb

    Milk - HEa

    Syns for day 8.5

One thing - I got the books today (2010) and it says in there to choose one HEa and 1 HEb - Have I misunderstood something here.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Right Hellooo :) Im back after the weekend and was a pretty good girl this weekend :) think I may possible of gone over by 2 syns friday but had less sat/sun! I was going to posted etc but never quite managed to get to the computer!

This weeks challenge is to start exercise, I really wanted to go jogging at least 3x this week and start tonight but its absolutly chucking it down with rain and it supposed to all week so dont know what is going to happen there.
I have ordered a couple of those 10 minute Solution dvds to start with- Anybody use them?? I've heard they are supposed to be quite good so heres to hoping!

Right well today I feel like I have eaten loads- after watching a programme on the BBc last week I feel sort of like Ive eaten so much that I could of eaten more calories than I would of the rubish stuff- (even though i probably won't have)

But please let me know if this sounds ok?? (apart from the one hiccup!:)

B- FF Nat Yogurt with Blueberries + Frozen Raspberries
    3 Cups of fruit tea
1 tiny box sushi (sainsburys) Is sushi free? I know all the singular items are free so I'm getting they are together to?
    1 Apricot

L- HM Sweet potato, Butternut squash and Parsnip soup....yummmmy :D
Salad- Lettuce, s.onion, toms, peppers, mange tout, cucumber and beetroot
    Grapes
Dime bar (8syns!!!)- it was a very stressful day at work!

D- Frittarta with corgette and leeks
    Lean bacon (all fat removed)
    Baked beans
    Apricot
    FF Activita yogurt

Snacks and Drinks- 3-4 big glasses of water
    3 diet coke
2 stalks celery and 2x Extra light LC triangles (2 syns)
    2 Crab sticks
    350ml Skimmed milk as HEA

Does that sound ok? minus the dime clearly! I wouldnt mine but Ive felt soooo guilty since :( I told myself I would eat half and that didnt happen!

I have already sorted what I'm eating tomorrow so hopfully go well :) I'm trying to go for only 5 syns a day.

My issue is though that after lunch especially at work I crave something really sweet and grapes etc dont really do it. I'm trying pineapple tomorrow though as subsitute as that is very sweet- heres to hoping! :P

Oooh watched a really good programme on BBC iPlayer the other day called 10 Things you need to know about losing weight- really interesting and explained alot about the way SW works with regards to dairy etc. Well worth a watch if you can :)

OOH thanks. I'll record it on itv2 tomorrow then because not only is Glee on at 9 tonight and the biggest loser, but hell's kitchen USA which is one of my fave programmes ever - so that's a clash of 3 things at 9pm tonight

Well I've just got back from my first SW 'fat club' and have to say i'm sorry but I hated ever minute of it.

I know that it's busy cos it's Jan, and cos of the Bella vouchers, and also I have to start by saying it wasn't the usual consultant apparently it was a sub cos she was ill.
    However, it was truly dire.

At the new joiners table the consultant explained the plans really badly, hardly went into any detail about Healthy Extras, what you can have etc. Only talked about EE but didn't explain what superfree is so everyone was saying potato was free veg, etc.

Also offered no 'tips' - just read out how many syns is in chocolate and crisps to shock you, didn't offer ideas for low syn treats or anything. I tried being chatty and everyone just sat there with faces like smacked bums!

Then they went round the group and it was just 'you lost 1lb, how was your week' then everyone clapped and it went on for ages. And they did a raffle. There were loads of bits where people were just chatting among themselves and it was just a bit boring to be honest.

It was a bit of a shambles with people coming and going and talking in the background.

Their scales weighed me at 4lb more than I weighed at home this afternoon but I'm just going to ignore it cos i know where i am with my scales and I am never EVER going back!!!
They made me sign a membership form, but PLEASE someone confirm that I dont have to go back!!!!!!

:(:o awww Betty Im sorry you had such a bum 1st meeting

Good news tho....you're not obliged to go ever again hun if you really dont want to ;) If all you wanted was the books....then job done :D did you buy a food directory while you were there??

I was looking for one but all i could see was recipe books for curries, extra easy, etc. The consultant didnt tell us what there was that we could buy.:( So I'm really annoyed cos i prob could have got myself more resources than i ended up with - I just got the new starter pack and the magazine.
I think my online PIN works for 4 weeks even if I dont go to class :j

Can I buy a food directory online now that i'm a member??

Also - I can't log in??! Anyone know how to log in to SW online????

Well I've read enough to arouse my curiosity. Interested in the online subscription, but does anyone know if there are any special offers/codes at the minute?

Bronze is £60 for 3 months - £20 per month is not very mse-ish!...
