Newbie question, are peas and sweetcorn free foods? they're not listed in the book that i can see anyway :o

I think (according to my book) that all sorts of peas (mushy, garden, processed and petit pois) are superspeedy but sweetcorn is just free food on EE.

No I'm not :o :rotfl: It just makes logical sense to me, since superfree surely equals food which is free on both plans.. and therefore includes marmite and the likes of eggs and quorn, too?

Superspeed is often thought to be only fruit and veg.

I dunno. My brain ran away and joined the circus quite some time ago :rotfl:

They are all a good source of calcium and are nutritious free foods (if they are fat free!) but are not superfree nor are they speed or superspeed foods.

Yes they are free foods - they are listed on p14 of the book that I have - all the foods there are free on Extra Easy and Green plans!

    Evening all

Very hectic day at work moving round all the office furniture - so that's my exercise for today!

I have no idea what to have for tea yet but I'll update this once I've eaten.

    Green day:

B - oats (HEB) with skimmed milk (HEA) and apple
L - pasta, HM SF tomato chilli sauce
D - SW wedges, LF coleslaw (3.5syns), LF salad cream (2 syns), 2 x tesco veggie burgers (1syn), LF ketchup (1syn)
Snacks - pear, cheese (HEA), tinned fruit (HEB), LF creme fraiche (1.5syns)
Drinks - coffee, water, NAS squash
Exercise - 5 hours of lugging furniture! :rotfl:

    Total syns = 9

Oh just to say Morrisons has bags of clementines for 50p, and lots of other veg/fruit on offer.

also does anyone know the syns for a wholemeal chappti please ??

Can anyone tell me, ive been advised by my leader to use all my syns as ive got a lot to lose over 6 stone ! but it seems so much how much weight do/did you have to lose and how many syns do u use ?

It's best to use them all at first when you have quite a bit to lose so that as you get nearer to your target you can keep the weight moving by cutting back a little on them. You should be able to continue right to target with no less than 10 syns a day.
    Hope that helps :)

    What I am wondering is

When I lose my stone, if I go back to normal eating, ie not snacking late at night and boozing too much will the weight go straight back on, I dont get how people can put on 3lb in a week unless they seriously pig out!!!

    thank
    samxx

What you have written (or rather the way you have written it) suggests that you are 'going on a diet' but with SW you don't do that. You learn to eat healthily then (hopefully) you don't go back to the ways that made you overweight in the first place.

Everyone has 'blow-outs' but they should be rare and therefore not do any lasting damage.

A 3lb gain in a week would be mostly water - quick to come and quick to go :D
