    Morning all!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday - I have been excellent today. Had a bad weekend though (Byron burger, but it was a skinny), so really need a good few days! Lost 1.5lb last week, which I was totally chuffed with, and want to lose again this week.

    Food for today:

    B - fruit, yog + oats
    L - jacket + cottage cheese + salad
    D - unknown - poss lamb rogan

    Snacks - plums, kiwi, yog

Going shopping tonight, so need to do a meal plan. I haven't had bolognase for a while, so might make that one night this week. Got a colleague's leaving dinner on wed night (at an Indian) so need to make a plan of how to minimise the damage. I'm driving so I won't be tempted to drink, and if I minimise my syns for the next couple of days I might have 30ish to spend at the Indian.

Trying to do more exercise this week - now its brighter flatmate and I are gonna walk after work. We do about an hour of fast walking (ie 4.5 miles in an hour) three times a week, so that should help with body magic!

    RE scan bran:

Can you crush scan bran? Like to use instead of oats on my normal yog, fruit + oats breakfast?

:rotfl: What is it about cold baked beans? Housemate had some for dinner last night. I love to eat cold baked beans, but its a guilty pleasure I do in private - seems its more popular than I first thought! :D

Its odd isn't it.... hubby laughs because Im all prim about how things are served etc,,, but every so often the *inner slob* escapes and I have to have 1 of 4 things ...all to be eaten cold :-
    • baked beans
    • sweetcorn
    • spaghetti
    • marrowfat/proccessed peas
I only ever eat beans/marrowfats/spahgetti cold :p and YES the beans were eaten from the tin... *dirty dirty me*.
I sat on the sofa with a tin of beans in 1 hand and a tin of corn in the other.... it took ages to choose (almost a harry hill moment....fighhhhhht) :rotfl:-in the end bean swon because they are SS on green :D

Another quick question - of the meat-eaters do you always buy fresh meat (like mince, chicken fillets) or is the frozen stuff okay? It seems like it'd be much cheaper to buy the frozen ones, but I don't want to ruin the taste of anything.

    Had a green day.

    Breakfast coffee, weetabix, nana
    Snack tea, alpen, yog(1/2)
Lunch WM roll, quorn burger(2.5),SW chips(2), beans, ketchup(1)
    Dinner quorn curry and rice

Curry wasn't very nice! Never mind.

Used 1A+2B and 6 syns so far.

Will have meringue(5) and vanilla yog and fresh strawberries later. Still got an A. Will use a little in tea later but probably not much else.

I'm not sure that I've ever seen extra lean mince to buy frozen but if it exists then should be OK. Frozen chicken would be fine I think as (at worst) it'll just have water added. I was looking at frozen chicken myself today in Farmfoods, don't have enough freezer space at the moment but I might give it a try soon.

Frozen veg is a good way of saving too, no waste, ready prepped and usually much cheaper than fresh. And I buy a tub of summer fruits regularly. Really yummy with yogurt and at about £4 per kg it's a fairly economical way of eating some SS fruit at this time of the year.

    Hello
I'm a lurker with a question! Is ready made polenta free on green days? I think I've worked out that the polenta you buy as semolina and make up yourself is free, but I boulght a pack of the ready made stuff the other day and really fancy it with some roasted vegetables. I'd be really grateful for your help.
    Thanks :0)
