See you soon Dizzy, have a good time. I'll look up your fish recipe for Consultant in a mo, it's just a few pages back I know.
Mags and Mrs M - fabfabfab losses, well done!I'm back on plan but I have two meals out planned for this week and can't make my usual WI. I'm determined to go to another class to assess the damage and encourage me to stay on track. My SW route is definitely scenic at the moment!!
Talking about scenic routes (well, vaguely) I had a strange conversation with a friend the other day. She's been going to SW classes for about 3 years, she says she's lost 2 stone but I don't know tbh, it's definitely been up and down a lot; anyway I said something about me being at target, and she scathingly remarked: "Yes, but you set your target yourself!" as if that was the wrong thing to do. I asked her if she'd ever set a target and she said "Yes, my target is to lose one pound a week". I pointed out that she will never get to the point of classes being free, but she didn't seem to get it. I thought all classes were run the same, where WE take control of our weight loss, our targets (and our occasional gains).:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

for Consultant:Im doing an experiment in the kitchen for tomorrows tea
Ive bought some yacky devils food......fish _pale_ plain haddock loin (I never knew haddocks had loins.....but you learn something new every day)
Ive mixed up 3 of tablespoons of plain ff greek yog with 2 cloves of garlic, some chilli, hot curry powder, salt & pepper, turmeric. and put the fish in the thickish mix and coated it all - covered and left it in the fridge to marinade overnight.
Im then hoping to grill it on high so it kind of charrs where the sauce is and serve it in an Asda WM pitta (HEB) with salad and a yog mint sauce. I realllllllly dont like fish as you know so if it tastes all spicy like a kebab type thing It might be nice?? AND FREE !!!!:T:T:A
I will let you know if it is remotely edible:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

I like the idea of this, I'm put off buying a subscription as you have to phone the order and I don't like giving out my card number. So if I can use paypal thats brill. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Lunch - 3 ryvitas (B), 3 laughing cows light (A), orange, grapes
Dinner - quorn fajita strips, new potatoes, spinach, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, 1 babybel light (A), boiled egg, dollop of tomato ketchup (1 syn)

Evening all, I'm back from a weekend away (visiting parents, in-laws etc).
Wasn't too bad and I managed damage limitation with most meals:
Friday evening was chilli con carne and strawberries for dessert.
Breakfasts were weetabix with bananas
Lunch saturday was jacket potato, chicken and salad
Saturday dinner was the worst meal ! Curly fries, sausage, chicken, vegetables and fruit crumble and custard for desset. Not to mention the glass of wine too
Today lunch was tuna salad and dinner tonight was quorn stir fry.
It's my * week now too so I'm hoping that I can just maintain this week - fingers crossed !
I'll catch up on posts later so hope you've all had a good weekend, hugs for anyone that's feeling down and congrats to those who've had good losses this weekSave £12K challenge 2015 # 173£0.00/£10,0000 -
Did you find yours to have some water at the base of the quiche once cooked and cooled? I cooked mine for an hour in the end cos each time I checked it, it didn't seem set. Took it out after an hour cos I guessed if it wasn't ready at that point, it would never be. It was all firm, but there was a watery bit at the bottom when I removed a slice. I think I also over did it with the fillings too. Second attempt should be better, I just don't know what caused the watery bit  Yours sounded good, you would never have thought mine was shop bought haha
Did you add milk to the eggs? If you did, thats probably where the water came from, try adding a bit less next time.0 -

Although mine have never been watery at the bottom, they do have a slight wetness to them, but only slight. Did you leave it to cool for a long time, cos sometimes if you put things in a container then in the fridge they get condensation and can make the food go wet. I always think I over do the filling, I put in LOADS of mushrooms, and when its cooking it rises and gets bigger and bigger and I think I'm gonna have a mutant quiche on my hands lol, but once I take it out of the over it shrinks back to a normal size! All I can suggest is that you try the suggestions people have put on here, and just keep experimenting! Good luck and I hope you find a recipe that is right for you.SW Journey Re Re-started 25/02/14

Wotcha all! :j
Mags and MrsM - Well done you clever girlies! And well done to the other losers too
I have lost my passportI'm normally quite good at leaving it somewhere sensible, but I remember carrying it around for agest just before and just after I did my leg in (god knows why it was originally put in my handbag) but its not there any more! I'm sure its somewhere in a "safe" place. Need to find it by friday to register with a job agency, so wish me luck as I turn my house inside out!
What else have I got to tell you? tried swimming for the first time since I broke my leg today. Bit of a non-starter, I got out after 10 minutes because the pool was so packed I was convinced someone was going to kick meGot to be careful not to do any damage before my next op
Went for a walk around the block, but got quite dizzy again - *sigh* I thought the dizzyness had gone! I am being super super blonde dizzy in the other way recently, and really messed up my plans this weekend and missed an event I really wanted to go to!
I'm glad Dizzy's fish was a success, gives me hope that my fishy experiment (fish pie) will be a success :T Made it today as got all inspired by reduced fish in Morrisons, but had a (non sw) big pub lunch, so haven't had it yet. I should just plan for a synful meal out really, best laid plans always get scuppered. I mean, I ordered the quorn chilli, but they had ran out so ended up having hunters chicken and chips
Still, tomorrow is EE, and despite being busy and stressful WILL be on plan, dammit!
Plan:
Melon, fibre plus
HM soup
Fish pie
and some more "stuff" TBCNothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Day 3 all went a bit wrong!! Have full on flu-y shudders and my throat feels like its on fire  Only stuff I've eaten today have been things my 9 year old can make in a microwave! Bless her, she's been bringing me food and endless cups of tea on a tray with little get well notes!
Need to be better by tomorrow! Back to school and work!
How many syns are curry pastes? Like the pataks jar ones? Normally I'd check online but even the computer has a virus and died earlier!!!
Thanks in advance!
