  • Yup, they need their fingers to help them gird their loins.

Ooh, you're very good (and quick too):rotfl::rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Hello all, I am thinking of making a quiche tonight (first time) and I wondered if it will work if I mix quork cheese and cottage cheese together, does anyone know? Only because I think If I just use quork it will be too cheesy, and if I just use Cottage cheese it won't be cheesy enough. I plan on adding mushrooms onion and peppers to the mix too.

    Thank you in advance xx
  • just looking through recepies, anyone tried the syn free pizza - potato (smash) base?

  • Hi, I often make the quiche with just cottage cheese, 3 eggs, batchelors pasta'n'sauce and fry=lighted veg. Cook it all up, shove in the oven for half an hour, lovely!

Have tried it just using left over pasta, and it's not the same...

I've been having a quiche-fest the last couple of weeks as we were having a party and I wanted to make some SW friendly food. I had never made the quiche before and after 1 ok attempt and 2 good attempts I found the best way was spray oil the bottom of the flan dish, then add thinly sliced potatoes on the bottom and cooked for about 10 mins, then I mix eggs (5-6) with quark and fat free natural fromage frais, season and then add your extras, i have mushrooms, red onion, red pepper and sliced ham ( i don't pre-cook any of these), I then mix them in with the egg mixture and pour over the base. It normally takes anout 30-40 mins and the one I did for the party today suprised people when they found out I had made it, they thought I had bought it - and best of all it was free :j

I have made this, I think you REALLY have to like smash to enjoy it. I may have made my base too thick although it didn't look it. I could really taste the smash but maybe didn't put enough toppings on. Would have to give it another go to see if it was a one off lol.

I'm on a flexi weekend for my birthday but it's good I'm really concentrating on staying in control - I've really been watching what I have been eating and making sure to be careful between the meals out.

Reckon this proves I'm now in control of my eating and past over eating issues, only time will tell but do think I've turned that corner now:)

Had Chinese out tonight but felt so full after could not manage cake and only had 1 glass of wine and 1 vodka and diet coke earlier.

Did make some of the choc tofu mousse which is so good yet low syn - well 4 syns in total.

Was really not too bad yesterday either on my birthday and tomorrow just need to use daily syns for a small slither of birthday cake.

Too full to go to bed yet - think I will be trying my best to avoid big portions out in future!
