I'm having a bit of a moment - I've got a SW quiche made up from tuna, sweetcorn, mushrooms, red pepper and an onion. I quite fancy this with some baked beans rather than a salad - would you say this suits the EE principle of one third super free??

I would say its fine to do this, just finish with some fruit to make up the rest of the superfree. Some meals just dont suit extra veg or salad .....so thats the best way to do it. like tonight Im having spag bol, its loaded with veggies, onion, carrot, celery, toms but to make sure Im get the 1/3 in i will have pineapple to finish off. ;)

My lunch was scrummy, I re-created a dish I had in a Buddist monastry, so it brought back memories!

    you're a well travelled dark horse ;)

Ive never had any luck doing anything with aubergines before, I tried the moussaka from one of the SW mags a few months ago and it was......well not very edible by the time I'd finished with it, Mr Dizzy gave me one of his 'oh god what the hell is this'? looks :rotfl::rotfl:

Im doing an experiment in the kitchen for tomorrows tea

Ive bought some yacky devils food......fish _pale_ plain haddock loin (I never knew haddocks had loins.....but you learn something new every day :D)

Ive mixed up 3 of tablespoons of plain ff greek yog with 2 cloves of garlic, some chilli, hot curry powder, salt & pepper, turmeric. and put the fish in the thickish mix and coated it all - covered and left it in the fridge to marinade overnight.

Im then hoping to grill it on high so it kind of charrs where the sauce is and serve it in an Asda WM pitta (HEB) with salad and a yog mint sauce. I realllllllly dont like fish as you know so if it tastes all spicy like a kebab type thing It might be nice?? AND FREE !!!!:T:T:A

I will let you know if it is remotely edible :o

I am a very well travelled dark horse indeed Dizzy. This Buddist monastry/temple was lovely, very inkeeping with Tibetan culture and architecture. It was also on a remote road in the middle of Scotland :rotfl:

Honestly? Yes you're being unreasonable to expect the weight to come off quicker. 2lbs a week is a very good average weight loss, any more and you'll find it harder to keep it off. My average is 0.8lbs a week.

Going over 15 syns a day will not necessarily mean you gain weight, but you won't lose as much weight as if you stick to 15.

Lastly, if you're bored then spend some time looking at ways to spice it up a little. It sounds like you're wanting to use more syns, can you post us a typical food diary for a day and maybe we can help you cut out syns from somewhere to allow you more syns for what you're craving?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. i went last night to get weighed and lost another 3lbs! so was really pleased - have lost 10.5 lbs in 4 weeks. thanks again for the reply!
