here is the post that consultant did about success express recently for those wanting to give it a go
I've missed such a lot of posts over the past couple of weeks that I really can't catch up properly. However, I did notice that Success Express seems to be causing some confusion. It is quite similar to EE, but there are some differences, which are vital to the success of the plan. I have reprinted the official version here, please pay particular attention to the last sentence which is the opposite of EE:-
SUCCESS EXPRESS
Step 1
Have Three Success Express Meals a Day. At each meal follow the two to one principle.
Fill two thirds of your plate with Super-free foods then one third of the plate with foods that are Free on Green or Original.
Step 2:
Add one or two Healthy Extra ‘A’ Choices and two ‘B’ choices from either the Green or Original lists.
Step 3:
Snack on Super-free Foods such as fresh or frozen fruit, vegetables, eggs or very low fat dairy products. You can add Healthy Extras to Snacks.
Step 4:
Choose your Syns; enjoy five to 15 Syns per day. You can enjoy your Syns as part of a meal or for treats.
Snacks, desserts or starters that are not Super-free or Healthy Extras are counted as Syns.
SERVING SENSE
To get the maximum benefits from Success Express. It is best to follow the easy guidelines that put a little structure and control into your serving sizes.
If you find yourself building “towers” of food that are mainly free on Green or Original, it might be better to go for that choice rather than busting the “true” two to one principle.
On a Success Express Day, everything you eat that isn’t a Free Food (following the two to one principle), a Super-free Food or a Healthy Extra has Syns. If a Syn has a higher value on one choice than the other then you must take the higher value.0 -
question - how many eggs are you 'allowed' to eat during a day/week? i ask because i had 2 yesterday and 2 today and i know they're quite high in cholesterol...
the 'people in the know' have now changed their minds on the eggs being bad for cholesterol thing (I have high cholesterol & Im on meds for it but im not restricted with eggs under the new guidelines) the only thing too many eggs do is make you 'bunged up' lol0 -

But Dyno Rod Soup will combat the 'bunged up' symptoms! :rotfl:0 -

I am finding it difficult to get my head round this could you give an example please thanks x
Think i understand it means anything SYN able you must count it as the highest syn value on red/green/EE“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -

Does anyone know the cheapest way to get hold of the current free food, super-free listings etc. I see some for sale on ebay but people are charging quite a lot just for a PDF document!!0

If you wanted a starter - you need to choose a SF food - e.g. melon or hm tomato soup - if you wanted salmon for example you would have to count syns as if you were on a green day
Another example is if you wanted some sausages with your dinner say they were 1 syn each on red/EE on a SE day you would have to count the green value (about 4 syns?)
Also, if you wanted to have a snack & on EE you would normally have a mugshot that is free - you would have to find the syn value for a red day (about 11 syns???)
Does that make a bit more sense?
I am useless at explaining things! :rotfl:
Sorry if i have confused you more x0 -

I thought i saw something saying that too, something along the lines of.. although eggs have cholesterol this was thought of as 'good' cholesterol!!
Food standards agency state 'Eggs do contain a type of cholesterol found in many foods, called dietary cholesterol. Eggs, liver, kidneys and prawns are higher in dietary cholesterol than other foods.
But the cholesterol we get from our food has much less effect on the level of cholesterol in our blood than the amount of saturated fat we eat.
If you are eating a balanced diet, you don't need to cut down on eggs (or kidneys and prawns), unless your GP or dietitian has advised you to do this.' http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/asksam/healthydiet/eggsandpulsesq/“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -
