Welcome to all newbies, well done to all losers and hugs to those having a bad time!!
Just an update on today's food! OH had roast dinner at lunch time so he didn't want another 'gravy' dinner tonight! I'm doing success express today:
Brekkie - Porridge (HEA1&HEB1), banana, rasps, strawbs, pear
Snack - 2 plums
Lunch - sort of dyno rod soup, slad, fat free dressing, melon, pineapple, yogurt, mixed berries
Snack - apple
Tea - chicken (without the skin!), few sw chips, roasted veggies (butternut squash, onions, courgettes, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, garlic, chilli, herbs and balsamic vinegar!), 1 celebration (2)
Supper - pitta pizza (HEA2, HEB2 and 1 syn)
I'm going to cook some pasta to mix with the leftover roasted veg, that should do my lunches for 2 or 3 days!!
I'm loving this plan, it can be hard to get 2 thirds of superfree in but I like being able to have both green and red free foods and still have 2 of each HE. Also, the bit about taking the higher syn value doesn't bother me as I don't often use many anyway! Can't wait to have my 'pizza' for supper and still be on plan!!0 -
:j
according to the syn calculator its free on red & EE and 37.5 on greenhappy days.....nibble away
DIZZY!!
You little star you. I've been dreading the outcome of this as I eat quite a bit of it, but I read your post and said a-woo-hoo  you've made my day. Thank you for doing that, and can I say good luck and fingers crossed for your new ear, hope you get a cancellation so you can get going as soon as poss.
Many thanks again.SW Journey Re Re-started 25/02/14

.
Good luck Dizzy, hope it happens soon.
Welcome in newbies & welcome back returning wanderers [sympathetic hugs all round]
Got invited out with Mum & Sis today, wasn't really up for it but glad I went even though they insisted on trying to feed me cakes [which I resisted]. Sis gave me early Birthday press of a Gryfindor hoodie from Harry Potter World [shes just back from florida lucky thing] I love it but not sure what size she thinks I am as its huge [American large] I'm not a large anything these days
. Its the thought that counts though.
Anyway food today:
B - weetabix [2xB] hot water, coffee, splash of milk [from A]
L - jacket spud, beans, mixed lettuce, pepper, cherry toms [had Mums salad too]
T - sw chips, egg, spag hoops, toms, onion, bbq sauce [1], rice pud [2xA], lemon curd [2]
Snacks - pineapple, melon, onken, meringue [2.5], 1 pepper imp [Harry Potter World] [1?] tastes like Dentine but hotter
Syns - 6.5Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Evening all,
A very quick post to say hello, welcome to any newbies, hugs to all who need one, and well done to any losers!
Had WI tonight, didn't stay for the 1st time, as I have too many things to do at the mo, but was glad to get 1lb loss, especially as it's * week. Master Sary lost 1.5lb tonight, and got his Club 10 award, although they're going to save the announcement for next week for us, as we had to leave.
We celebrated our losses by having hot chicken thighs from the new Sainsbury's in town. Woooh, we know how to live, eh?One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
I'm off to Paris in the morning for 4 days:D
I'm going to do my best with food but wine syns will no doubt mount up. At least I have a pasta salad with roasted veg ready to eat on Eurostar tomorrow so I won't start synning 'til I get there!;)
Have a good week everyone.0 -
I read the ingredients list and made something which seems exactly the same.
Use a stick blender to mix the following:-
250ml cooled boiled water
120g oil of preference
1 level tsp xantham gum (natural thickener available on-line,bakery aisle or health food shop)
2tsp clear tasteless alcohol (preservative)e.g. vodka
3tsp/10g soya lecithin granules (emulsifier allows oil and water to mix)buy on-line/health food shop
Fry-light also contains a bit of wheatgerm oil so you could add a couple of tsp to replace some of the oil. I think it helps to preserve other oils.Make sure it's food grade.
Ensure you sterilise your spray bottle before adding the liquid.
It costs about 70p to make 375ml compared to £2.73 for fry-light
Happy cooking0 -
If you don't want a glass of wine or a packet of crisps etc. try adding weighed items as syns e.g. a bit of butter to your potatoe or have some fresh juice. You definitely need to have 5 to 15 syns a day or things slow down!0

I'm feeling it from the body tone class last night - really good doing excercises with weights for an hour - think I'll start going to that every Monday and Zumba when it starts Thursdays.
Good thing is as it was not fast pace but concentrated excercises I have remembered a lot of it so can use my weights at home too to repeat some of the excercises:)
Am so hoping for a 2lb loss Thursday as want to get to that 2.5 stone mini target!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Morning all. Day 3 of my SE experiment!!!
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), banana, rasps,strawbs
Lunch - roasted veg pasta (with LOADS of veg!), pineapple, jelly (0.5)
Tea - garlic mushroom pasta and salad
Snacks - apple, Ryvita with cheese spread (HEA2&HEB2)
I haven't got hardly any syns in there so I might make OH some garlic bread with the pasta and have a slice myself.
WI tomorrow, hoping for a STS, had a few naughty days and didn't get to WI last week but don't really feeli like I've put weight on so fingers crossed!!!0 -
Morning everyone. Off work today, the dreaded lurgy caught up with me yesterday and now my voice is completely shot and all snotty.
not great seeing as I've been off for the best part of 10 weeks! Bad timing.
No thoughts of food today - can't face eating but might make an omelette or a boiler for breakfast and have some tuna and baked potatoes. And some oranges to keep my vit c up! We'll see how it goes.
Hope everyone is well and you all keep away from this horrible lurgy!"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and... I believe in miracles."
