Hello all, congrats on all the weight losses, I wish I could lose more, I weighed myself again today, still the same, can't seem to lose anymore, and Im doing nothing different to the first 2 weeks
Food diary today:

Lunch: HM veg soup, chicken butty HEB, low fat marg 0.5
Tea: Roast chicken boiled potatoes and half a cabbage!! gravy 2.5
Supper: Big bowl of strawberries with FF fromage frais
Cadbury highlights (2) and french fries (4.5)
Milk in tea HEA
Syns 9.5
Half an hour dancing on the wii too, the just dance 2 is good as you can set goals
Hi susie, just a couple of observations that may help you get out of the rut and losing some weight!
Firstly - Brekkie !! You need to eat it, even if you get up late!!! If I get up late, I'll have a smaller brekkie, then have my lunch slightly later. Secondly, I personally would recommend trying to have more of a variety of veg with your meals, if only to stop you getting bored! If I only had a huge pile of cabbage with my tea I'd soon get bored and end up eating stuff I shouldn't!! And finally, what are your portion sizes like? Although free food is free you should only be eating 'till you're comfortably full, not until you're too stuffed to move!! That's something I'm guilty of at times......I'm a little piggy at heart lol!!0 -
Morning all. I'd love to know where the weekend went to! I'm sick of my job and I really hate coming back on a Monday morning!!! I finished sorting through my mammoth magazine collection so I now have a huge pile of recipes to try! Trouble is they're not all SW friendly, will have to hide the naughty ones!!!
Thanks for the butter chicken recipe although I'm not sure we're really allowed to post stuff that's come from book's or magazines due to copyright issues!
Another Success express day for me. Like MrsM I think I'm going to quite enjoy this plan!!!
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), strawbs, rasps, pear, banana
Lunch - sort of dynorod soup, mixed salad, fat free dressing, melon, pineapple, yogurt with mixed berries (wow that sounds alot but mostly superfree so will need plenty to keep me full for more than 5 mins!!)
Tea - chicken (I will not eat the skin, i will not eat the skin, I will not.....!!!!), 2 small roast spuds (SW style!), carrot and swede mash, roast onions, cabbage, I might roast some butternut squash too (it is superfree isn't it?)
Snack - either 2 ryvita or a WM pitta for HEB2 with some cheese for HEA2. I'll have this for supper as OH is on night shift so tea will be earlier than normal and i'll be in the house alone with all the food lol!!!
I only have £25 in the shopping fund which needs to feed us until Friday, luckily the freezer is rather full so I'm just doing a mini shop tonight for fruit/veg/salad/milk. I COULD spend more if I really wanted but I don't want to!!!!0 -
With the only explanation being a bit of a health scare with my mum 2 weeks ago, my mood has dropped about 50 notches and I have spent the last week to 10 days "eating for Ireland" as we would say here (which will no doubt show up at WI today - if I go). And as I'm eating or drinking whatever - I don't even want it!
I don't think I'll post for a while until I can give my a** a good kick but I'll come back when I've managed to climb back up on the SW wagon again - I just can't find the energy or the motivation at the moment.
A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!!
Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!0 -
Morning all, Monday mornings sure do come round fast!
EE today
B - ff yogurt and apple
S - 2 alpen light bars
L - leftover shepherds pie and veg which i will warm up in microwave at work
S - apple and velvet crunch
D - steak, sw chips and lots of veg0 -
susie I'd agree with lisa, brekkie is a must (I sometimes have to literally force mine down but I always feel better after I've eaten it). Also on the fruit/veg front, try having at least 2 superfree with each meal - fruit with breakfast, salad for lunch, veggies for dinner for example? Also try snacking on fruit in between if you get hungry.
I'm sure things will start to move on the scales soon xx
Having an EE day here:
B - 2 poached eggs, 2 slices Hovis w/meal (HEB), banana, satsuma
L - Veggie patties (made with leftover veggies from yesterday) and chicken (leftovers again)
D - Steak, SW chips, peas, mushrooms, onions, roast carrots
Snacks - mullerlight, fruit
HEA = Milk
We're off visiting parents this weekend coming so I've got to try and fit food into the plan. Shouldn't be too bad though, just checked with MIL and she's doing chicken, aunt bessies (will check syns on those) and veg and a mixed fruit crumble for dessert (will have to have a small piece, otherwise she'll get upset !) My parents are fine and will cook whatever I say :rotfl:.Save £12K challenge 2015 # 173£0.00/£10,0000 -
Morning All,
Had a pretty good week - hoping for good results at WI
Went Belly dancing on Thursday  - OMG i can't believe how much you have to concentrate! And i hurt in places i didn't think existed on Fri & Sat
Fri was a bad day - Uni day - left home at 6.30am and due to traffic (stupid accident!) i didn't get home until 9.50pm! But i was good and DH had put in jacket pot ( 2 measly little ones!) and had it was mushy pea curry :A
Saturday was good and even though we went to a party with hm cakes and party food - i ate some rice before i went! and i stuck to 2 triangle of wholemeal sarnies (one with cheese & raw onion & the other with chicken) even though they had butter so about 3 syns? as i counted the bread as heb & cheese as hea! They a tiny piece of DH cake from his plate! and a bunch of grapes and cherries! :A Stuck to Diet coke all evening (never again! as it doesn't agree with me!Dyno-rod effects spring to mind!:rotfl:)
Sunday was also good as i had left over mushy pea curry with butternut squash, swede & sweet potato! nom nom
Booked a holiday for me and mum for mothers day (Day & night in Brighton!) Can't wait! (but will be bad SW wise! Already been told we are having an icecream & fish & chips & going out for evening meal & drinkies!)
I done my first AF order last week & i got 3 massive (2.55kg) tins of cannelini beans (going to stock up on loo roll & plumber is on speed dial!:rotfl:) - apart from sticking them in my curries and stews - any ideas of what to do with them? Something different?
I will also mention about having breakfast - i never used to have it - but i always have to now - even if it is only a banana & yogurt - it starts the day off!
Fingers crossed for me & everyone else still to WI
We can do it!0 -
Thank you Lisa & Majjak much appreciated!! I will get more veg down me. To be honest we usually have 2 veg with our meals but the cabbage was so huge we couldnt get a second on the plate, and I do love cabbage yummmmmm. Also I always sleep in till late at weekends, so would a banana suffice when i got up, and then I could eat my lunch an hour later? Or do I need to start getting up early? Please say I can lie in hahaha.
As for size of portions, The chicken was a leg and 2 slices of breast, and about 4 small boiled potatoes, rest was cabbage. I do have big portions but wouldn't say huge, although I could have eaten more lol.
Menu for today, again please comment, I want to be doing this right so all critism very welcome :-)
EE
Brek: Banana & FF yogurt
Lunch: Chicken salad - 2 slices of chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, raw mushrooms and a dollop of FF cottage cheese.
Snacks:2 Tangerines and 3 slices of melon.
Tea: Home made chicken soup with lots of veg (carrots, turnips, cabbage (again!) leaks, celery, onions and barley. with 2 slices of WW wholemeal bread to dip in (HEB)
HEA is milk in tea throughout the day.
I cant see any syns there, so will have something tonight probably bag of french fries and a cadburys highlights.
Happy Monday everyone, work is manic so I best get on0 -
Mon 21 Feb
First an update on Sunday’s synning!
1 glass white wine & lemonade
1 large glass of cava – happened to find 2 bottles in the garage which we didn’t know about! How on earth did that happen??
So total syns for Sunday: 15
Total syns day 1-4: 49
Today (Red): (I really enjoy the odd red or green so that I can have 2 HEAs & HEBs)
B: 28g porridge oats (HEB) soaked overnight in ff yogurt. Added some milk, a banana & honey.
Wouldn’t rush to do this again L It was ‘OK’
L: Cheese (HEA) & cucumber sandwich (HEB), hm soup (sweet potato, carrot & onion), packet of Walkers ready salted crisps (6.5 syns)
I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about my lunch! It has been 4 weeks since I have had a packet of my beloved ready salted Walkers crisps!! This is a similar to the lunch I would have 5 days a week – it used to be white roll, cuppa soup, packet of crisps – now I have tweaked it the SW way and will hopefully enjoy it!
T: DH is home the next few days looking after the kidsters (school hols) so I will have my tea ready for me (hopefully!). On the menu is salmon, asparagus, sweet potato, green beans, mange tout & sweetcorn (if I can have sweetcorn on a Red? Got a funny feeling I can’t??)
Syns for today: 6.5
Total syns day 1-5: 55.50 -

Sweetcorn is either synned or used as Healthy Extra on Red day i am afraid(not sure how much though as i don't do red days!)
