  • Morning all!

Dyno soup for breakfast and for lunch for me today, in an attempt at damage limitation from a week of massive over synning. I am thinking of living on this for a few days - weather warning in Cheshire, its going to be gusty! :rotfl:

Right - minor breakdown over the weekend with non-SW shepherd's pie, 2 jam donuts, a packet of crisps and half a pizza:eek:! Firmly back on plan now though, and got two full weeks at home with only one meal out so I should be able to stick on plan. I seem to only go wrong when I'm away cos I can't plan properly.

    Anywhoo, today is:

    B - fruit, yog + oats
    L - jacket + beans
    D - ragu

Snacks - yog, apples, kiwi, banana

Am going to do my meal plan for the week tonight, gonna try a curry recipe from the website and them probs just some of my normal food like bolognase or cajun chicken etc. Am getting bored of my fruit though - there is a limit to how many bananas and apples I can eat! Gonna try some slightly more interesting stuff like plums and nectarines - whatever is on offer at Mr T's.

Yes and no - we had gammon for tea tonight and I had to cut all that lovely, crispy rind and fat off it - It took me a long while to come to terms with 'guilt free fat' eating and in the beginning it worked very well for me and I lost 9 stones. Slowly over the years - 10 to be exact - I learned all the tricks of food abuse and also the delights of cakes made with ground almonds! and a good portion of the fat has crept back on. Having developed acute osteoarthritis 18 months ago and my mobility greatly restricted even more has crept back on.

Sliming World was a time for a change but I am still very wary of abuse of syns and am very strict with myself so as not to fall into the same trap again.

Low carbs does work when you use it properly :o

Hmm, I'm afraid low carb wouldn't work for me at all, I'm a carb-junkie :rotfl:

I can't get my head round any 'diet' plan that lets you eat the fat from meat - there's nothing in it that benefits the body at all, how can it be right?

Maman, your story about the lady with the chicken skin made me laugh out loud, I know the feeling, though with me it's not ckicken skin or any other sort of meat fat, yuck at the very thought :rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Morning All,

Had a pretty good week - hoping for good results at WI

Booked a holiday for me and mum for mothers day (Day & night in Brighton!) Can't wait! (but will be bad SW wise! Already been told we are having an icecream & fish & chips & going out for evening meal & drinkies!)

Its an absolute unspoken rule that you HAVE to have fish & chips when you go to the sea side!...... It would be rude not to....... its helping our British tourist trade & all that ;) (and sorry nessie but you have to eat the batter as well :p)

ood luck for WI Hun x

This week I have 2 meals out, one at TGI and one at Hrvester, so I can't see myself loosing next week either!

Well I'm Just back home from My Pre OP Assesment morning for My Magic Ear, A lot of sitting about, blood tests, a head scan, ecg, and seeing 2 different nurses to fill in loads of forms & then another Doctor......But thats it now- all done.
Ive said I will also take a cancellation appointment with 24 hours notice as I really just want to get the process started as soon as possible to get some hearing back.....its awful since they took the 'loan ear' back off me 2mo5pow.gif and its going to be worse still having a piece of metal grafted on my head and it being 'out of order for 3 months' until I can be switched on with a processor :o:rotfl:
BUT ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT EH !!!! ;)

Anyway foodwise Ive been good today despite not being in my routine. I took some fruit with me to nibble on, and Ive just had a late lunch of chicken, salady bits & cous cous. not sure about tea yet but will post when ive 'thunk'

ooooh havent used my HEB so I can have some yummy Oatso simple for supper if I want too or a fibre plus (but im a bit off these til I get my tooth out)
  • Afternnon all - thought I'd join in if you don't mind.
Am on week 3 of my very 1st time of slimming worldand have so far lost 4lbs. Am loving the fact that I can eat 'normal' meals - cooked differntly.
On saturday night I made the chicken and mixed pepper bake from one of the books/mags I've got and it was delicious!!

    Today I've had:
Brekkie - grapes and plums in yoghurt with a small amount of fruit and fibre cereal (HEB)
Lunch - Massive salad with eggs, potatoes, cucumber, onion, tomoatoes, sweetcorn, crab sticks, bit of gammon from last night and a small amount of mayo and feta cheese - I make that as 1 syn adn the chhese as my HEA.
Tea - Spag bol wiht lean minced beef
Drinks - water and maybe, maybe a samll glass of wine later.

I aslo bought Biggest Loser for the Xbox yesterday so did 20mins on that today.

Hoping I've lost when I weigh in tomorrow!!
Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:
  • Afternoon all :)

Well today is my first day following the plan and im really suprised at just how much less i have picking at things, ive felt full all day! I don't normally have a lunch if i have a breakfast, but ive made a concious effort to today so today goes like this..

B....Banana, pear, apple and grapes covered in a mullerlight yogurt
L....small jacket potato with beans and a lettuce and grated carrot side salad
D....Shepards pie with broccoli, carrots and sprouts (added cheese to the mash from my allowence)

the problem im having is using my syns....I still have them all to use and im not really sure how im going to use them as i know ill be full for the evening after my dinner lol. My biggest problem is i never eat enough, but then the things i did eat were the wrong things lol.
