Sorry hun, but the white bread hasn't got enough fibre to count it as a healthy extra B. I think it'll be about 6 syns per slice - then the butter, mayo etc. Pre-made sandwiches aren't very good.

Morning all,
Lots of hugs for those who need them, my Dad is fighting cancer too, still undergoing treatment and although they've caught it early and the prognosis is good at the moment, the tumours they've removed have been extremely vigorous. It's a horrible disease and affects so many people, I just wish they could find a cure and soon !
I'll be running the race for life again this year so I've got to get my bum in gear as I want to actually 'run' it instead of walk. I ran before (a few years back) but since putting on my weight, the best I could muster up was a 'power walk' last year. I want to do everyone proud so I'm going to train hardWho knows, I might lose a bit of weight in the process ! :j
theres a thought, Ive got leeks to use up in the salad drawer......never been succesful with leek & Potato when Ive had a bash at it before dunno why ?? it just tasted - bland
any suggestions?Pub tonight (only night I drink!) will have 4 large ones 20 syns, but have saved up the syns for this, and when I get home Im usually hank marvin so will have a mugshot and straight to bed before I start eyeing up the cream eggs.:rotfl:and put those pesky creme eggs INTO THE FREEZER
Dizzy, follow Skint's recommendations for leek soup - also nutmeg goes well with leeks (just a sprinkle) and if you have any butterbuds to sprinkle in you will get a beautiful flavour. dont forget to fry up your onions and garlics and leeks before putting in the liquid, that helps too. Sorry to hear your parents are suffering too. I'm Racing for Life for all of 'em, the ones who've gone and the ones here suffering x:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Big hugs TakeItEazy!
Not posted for a while, I've had a few days off plan! Pizza at the weekend, then yesterday I went out for a Wine and Dine tasting event at Zizzi. Lots of samples going around the room, very nice food. I don't think I ate that much as it was grazing through the evening, but it wasn't all good stuff hehe.
Today I've stuffed myself full of spaghetti. Had it with a tomato sauce for lunch and bolognese for dinner. I did have a mini garlic baguette for 9 syns. Might have a sneaky thorntons choccie later on.0 -
0.5lb off for me tonight. Happy with that, after the weekend. Nothing planned for the week ahead so hopefully a good result next week as it's taken me too long to get my 4.5 stone, at least it feels that way!Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Blackberry, I've run it in Cambridge last few years (where my family are) but might do it down here instead this year. Last year was fantastic, they opened up all the colleges for us to run through and we got to run by the river and all the punters were cheering us on, it was an absolutely brilliant atmosphere
Very early to be planning yet but I'm hoping to get a 'team' together as there's someone else who's been undergoing treatment within my voluntary community. I need to get that particular persons blessing first and she's only just out of hospital so I don't want to bother her too much yet. Watch this space ! Otherwise it'll be Brighton
takeiteasy have a HUGE HUG from me .... xxxxx
Well, I'm back from WI and I'm another 3lb lighter :j :j :j :j. Chuffed to bits. So I'm 1/2lb away from my half stone. I'm just so pleased it's working. It took me nearly 2 months to lose that with the 'opposition'
. I'm also feeling much healthier, my skin is glowing and I've got more energy so it's not just about eating to lose weight, I actually feel the other benefits too
.
I got slimmer of the week too :T
